For meme purposes, I entered the C race in the WRX Gr. 3. I start in 3rd. I say hi to @Sven Jurgens , and off we go. :D

Lap 1, after the long right hander, someone in a Porsche gets the inside line. However, they end up understeering and push me off track. 3rd > 9th.

I catch up to 8th place at lap 2, but I get a bit too aggressive. I give him some love taps, as he is taking some turns a bit slower than I am. Approaching the back straight, he goes a bit wide. I try to squeeze through, but he shuts it as I was passing, resulting in another collision, but I pass him. I take the inside line as I am passing someone who was serving their penalty.
9th place tries to send me to Pluto.

I was able to save it and go a bit off track. Mr. Punterino awards himself with a 5 second penalty. Congratulations, you played yourself.

I get divebombed twice, and it gets super chaotic. I survive to tell another tale, and eventually recover back to 3rd place.

Did you run a race with that Q time? If yes where were you with it on the grid?

Sorry, haven't been on here since monday. I ran my first and only race today, and it placed me at 10th. Top of my grid was a DR B with 1:48.1xx so I think I can def. get up to 5th place or so if I have the time to do more qualis.

Anyway, I went with the Atenza for said race and tried a no-stop. Stuff goes well on 1st lap and hit 6-7th place until the tight chicane at the the end where I lightly bump a car at the front due to a crowded track. 3s penalty. Drop to 13th.

I manage to make my way back up to 7th until I get punted off track by some idiot. Back to 13th. I get back up to and finish at 10th.

I think I'm flat on DR gain/loss after all that so I'm totally ok with it.

I raced a few tonight in race C. Continuing my fuel mix two, I managed another 2nd from 5th as a clean race. The top 5 saved fuel and 1st was way out of reach when I got to 2nd. I messed up and didn’t press square to save video but jave the replay.

I tried again in other races but everyone seemed to be hip to the no stop, at least tonight.

I accidentally bumped a French driver in a Citroen GT twice yesterday. First a British driver parked on apex in turn 1 and blocked me so I went p4 to p8, then on my way back up I was behind the Frenchman into t1 and he does the same. I tapped him and he revenge tapped me right back when I slowed to let him pass. Then again in T5 he parked on apex and the same thing happened. I apologise after race and he says "lazaruskie we will meet again!!".
Ready to be seen as a bad driver.

Thx :) .
I have only a 50:7xx but maybe I give it a shot (DR D) with the Genesis (BB -5). The Viper feels better in the corners but somehow I'm faster with the Hyundai.

Edit: Autopolis (NSX) 1:57.936 :dunce:.

I wonder if its the same guy I had 'fun' with a couple of days ago... Autopolis, Lap 4...

For me he parked it in the middle of the track through T8. I had no real intention or expectation to make a pass but ended up having to make a really late move up the inside, if it was premeditated it would be borderline divebomby, but he left the door open and in the end it was the only place I could actually go! If he'd hit the apex and flowed through as normal then we'd both have been fine. But he almost came to a full stop! I guess he realised he'd got it wrong, was going to run way wide and just slammed on all the anchors!

In the end it was actually a nice pass! I slid through with minimal contact - I mean, considering my options were that or punt him to the shadow realm as SuperGT refers to it, I chose the better option for us both.

He took exception and tapped me on the entry through pretty much all the last corners!

Oh and the squabble if you will, was over P10. I didn't really care. I was just bringing the car home!

Managed to get a race in last night after a couple of weeks out of sport mode due to various life reasons, and Superhot VR.

Did a race A with a fair bit of qualifying, nothing special there apart from my best lap for a while involved sliding through T2 very sideways, was quite frustrating not being able to beat that for a few laps!!

Started P7 with P6 glitching all over the place on a one bar connection, was very cautious of him into T1, but fortunately he ran wide and I managed to get away from him. A bit of door banging ahead put one of them into the gravel on the final corner at the end of lap 1 to give me P5. P4 got sideways there at the end of lap 2, so I squeezed past, and had a quiet race from there, kept pulling away from P5, and never quite close enough to P3 to make any difference, so ended P4 with a clean race bonus, up to 7k DR, and maintained 99 SR.

Hopefully I'll be able to get back to some more regular racing over the next few weeks.

...But I'm not A rated yet, not in my view. Too often other racers can disappear in a couple corners, too often I lose the line and get out of shape. It just feels to me that there's a corner or two on any given track that I just don't "get" and everybody else does....
My epiphany was working out that I have to learn corners as a set, not individually. Often, the fast way through a set involves going what seems quite slowly through a corner early in the set to set up the optimum entry/exit in a later corner.

Edit: Preaching to the converted of course ;)

The race before I was in p4 and the guy in p3 stopped on the way to start so the whole field from 3 to 15 was standing still until the countdown was finished. Then he proceeded to ram every one who passed him. Fortunately he ran himself off in the back straight of lap 1 ,

That one sounds like a Autodrive fail to me. (supposedly fixed in the most recent update!) Not sure he would have had much control over the stopping and backing everyone up issue.

The ramming afterwards however...

Last night tried B again.

1st race I was pole (hooray) and got immediately pushed out of track T1. Bump fest at the front pack. The Meganes were quite faster than me on the main straight. Fell to P6, recovered a bit to a P4 finish.

2nd race I started P2. Completely missed my breaking point and send the poor pole guy to the shadow realm :( . Felt really bad for him, sent him a "I'm sorry" msg after the race, he cursed me. Oh well. I had a (deserved) penalty, fell to P4, recovered my posture and finished P2.

3rd race. SR suffered enough, I started at pole and decided I'd rather lose positions than be involved in a bump exchange this time. T1 a guy forcer the inside line, I break nice and early from the outside for the best exit. It worked, I passed him and held on to P1 for a clean race. Fastest lap too, just 0.1s shy from my qualy time. Called a night before I mess up again :)

Life things won't allow me to race for a few days, so I'll see you guys on the next week's events!

The only problem with the autodrive failure was that

The 3 frontrunners where 6 seconds ahead.

I feel bad, spun in sixth place on the final lap on Suzuka, couldn't do anything to avoid the guy in Seventh (about 0.6 behind me) and my car didn't ghost. Somehow he got a 5 sec pen for something what was more my fault than his

I mean, that is a sucky one. At least with the 'total carnage' failures everyone is affected.

(I look forward to @Pigems regailing the time he passed @TRL LIGHTNING once more! ;))

@JoeyLeonine, @RacingGrandpa I encountered the same failure(?) a few weeks ago (Daily, Interlagos GR3). The guy stucked on the grid three times in a row. For everyone behind him the race was over before it started. Too much time loss. After the glitch(?) he raced clean though.

Maybe its a connection thing then.

I don't know. When you're in Autodrive awaiting the countdown you have no control, do you?

Or so I assume, so I've never tried. Unless anyone else knows of any nefarious ways to game that area in anyway, gotta assume it's a glitch somewhere!?

The next race I tried it ( :D ) : no, you have no control over the car before the Start sign. If I remember correctly he had full green internet connection.

Had one of those first race of the week at Autopolis, whole field sat in rolling start formation until the end of the countdown with no movement, caught half the field by surprise. Gained four places on that start, more by good luck than good management.

Tried the Posrche Cayman in race B tonight, was lapping close to best qual time in practice, sucked in race, lost nearly 1000 DR. Only ran one race, too tired, too late in evening for more.

Had another couple of goes at Race C. Dragged my qualy down to 1:45.9 and regularly low 46's so figured we were ready... 13th on the grid! Top three all 1:44.###, S, A+ and A only - going up to 40k seems to have put me in some distinguished company! More fun than yesterday though, dropped to 15th early on but kept my tyres well enough and fuel saved to be able to finish strong and end up 10th.

Next race, 13th again, but 4th on the grid is the legend that is Momoz. A couple of early incidents and passes and I was up to 8th, catching Momoz in 7th who seemed to be fuel saving and obviously decided he didn't want to lose anymore places. I did nothing stupid, got passed by someone on a bit of a dive as I was keeping my distance from Momoz (no problem mate... you have a go at him!), he came out of his battle with Momoz with a 2s penalty. So now my turn. Had a big run on Momoz out of T4, went left only to see Momoz invent a new racing line that wouldn't have involved asphalt, then a lap later, down the main straight side by side with me on the inside, I outbrake him but get squeezed for the right hander and bumped right again for the left hander, I'd definitely have gone off if I'd not backed out. End up finishing 8th. Watching the replay, Momoz pulled dirty moves and instigated contact with at least four drivers (including me twice), yet gets away penalty free and gets a blue "S"

Conclusion after another two races, I need another half a second and Momoz is a tool

Did a handful of A races this morning, i still can't beat my 4.191, opt of 3.9xx more than a couple times but i just can't hit that perfect lap...

The races were good, nothing much to say about any of them tbh... lol

No work for me tomorrow as i am going to see Zombie/Manson, so happy friday jr. to you all :gtpflag:

If running a manual gearbox and setting it in neutral this could happen?

Unmercilessly we will take you to your slumber, but only if you can recite Avagadro's number.... The inmates have been running the asylum this week . It's been a string of epic fails on the part of race fixing this week for Race C. Combined with limited success in my quest to find a car that I could actually A) keep in the track, and B) finish the race with. Closest I came was the Vantage. I'd had enough. I'd been haemorrhaging DR all week and splashed to the four winds on more than one occasion by DR/Bs who feel it's their birthright to drive through "lesser" track occupants like they arn't there. No race reports 'cause the whole experience was far too depressing. Life? don't talk to me about life....

Anyhoo, I started a new quest. To find my peeps. They seem to shy away from Race Cs, so I figured I'd find them lurking in race B. I did some tentative laps with the M4, entered, and found them! No mass of explosives or trophys... just the one. My less than spectacular time had me starting P10/15 on a grid of DR/Ds with a few Cs thrown in.

The race was hectic. I got into it with a few people on some of the corners, but things were kept clean. Any scrapping was obviously accidental. I obviously wasn't being brave enough in a few places, because I suddenly found myself passed by a train of 3 cars . I managed to get some sort of rhythm together and gain some places. The final nail in the coffin of the race was the guy in front getting a penalty on the final lap after the penalty box. That gained me an extra position. I had enough of a gap that the guy who was at one stage side by side with me, missed out and finished after Mr Penalty. P7 with a clean race bonus 👍.

SR still on 99, DR went up a couple of hundred. Another day above DR 1 .

Just ran two race B, mix of Dr/D and C. Everybody made room for each other and the occasional scrape was accidentally. But that's daytime. Night time is Cutthroat Island without the pretty sight of Geena to soften the blow.

Race C... down to a 47.2, but I know I'm terrible going into the last chicane and a few other areas, practice makes perfect right?!?!??! :scared:

Anyway had a race where SR came back to 99 from 97 and DR up to 18k, unfortunately still being pushed off when alongside people, I have a feeling they're not using radar at all...
