Getting in touch with my feminine side.

Ready to be seen as a bad driver.

That never happens. Unless they have a YouTube account.

Just ran two race B, mix of Dr/D and C. Everybody made room for each other and the occasional scrape was accidentally. But that's daytime. Night time is Cutthroat Island without the pretty sight of Geena to soften the blow.

Ran on Wednesday night & can confirm the muggers come out when the sun goes down. Lost enough SR point to go from S to B. Got punted more times than at a football game.

Anyone gonna be racing tonight? I’m debating on weather I should race in NA or EU? Or maybe start an Asian account? Though I probably won’t get a very good connection to the Asian server seeing as I’m on the farthest edge of the East coast that you can possibly get, other than Newfoundland. :)

I am wanting to get in a few races myself in NA.

Lexus feels like it should be decent for Race C. It's like sitting in an old, comfy chair.

Ten laps of short shift practice, ten laps all in the low 1:48s. Range of approx 0.250 seconds.

Now I just have to hope that the tyre wear is decent, while keeping that torque in check for the later laps . .

Getting penalized for someone else's mistake

despite steering fully away and doing everything I can other than slamming on the brakes abruptly to avoid it is unacceptable.
I would rather not give up racing completely on all accounts but if PD can't even figure out that a car spun out directly on the racing line should be ghosted, in my opinion there is no point in racing.

Well, this was . . fun?

Spent most of the race fighting between 6th (where I started) and 10th. Then this happened.

6th > 13th. Minus approx 1000 DR, and 4SR.

The Porsche is definitely the better race car here. So, we're back in that for the next race. The rear end of the Lexus was a little too slippery for my liking for the last three laps. Nice turn in though, even on worn tyres.

I decided to strap my boots in hop in my Mercedes manufactured tank and go in country...
I’ve never raced Friday during the day before...Holy matchmaking Batman A plus and A Grid with only 2 B and I am starting ninth at 46.3!
So, I am thinking ok holding position will be a solid result. No need to go in guns blazing...
Mixed grid of AMG ASTON and Porsche.
End of lap one Brazilian in Aston tangles with 911 ahead of him in chicane. Net result, Porsche with no tcs bogging in the apex on exit. I have to lift to avoid hitting.
Gap to tenth gone :(.
Lap 3 Aston has a .5 but 911 behind wants by badly like a corner before the pen zone... He for some reason tries to go outside at turn five.
I’m like fine give me the spot. I overtake cleanly before turn six and am back in line...
So Aston serves .5 and then blocks the track at the hairpin for all practical purposes while punting his fellow countryman in a 911 off the corner deep in the process...
I’m right behind, white 911 tries to punt me under braking then dives on me, no worries I have track position but the Brazilian 911 rejoins and blocks me entering the right hander...I’m forced to lift, I get hit, I hit the white 911, there’s a whole train behind in the normal line...
I’m at this point left with no choice, pedal is on the floor white 911 ahead is sideways in the exit point, I bash him off and another 2 AMG also make it through. Total chaos.
White 911 tries to rejoin in first floors it and flies off due to overheated tires.
Thank goodness for TCS!
So ending lap three starting 4.
Brazilian in Aston has five seconds, his countryman has .5 and I’m laying back in 8th licking my chops...
An AMG behind me followed by a train of 911...
I get by and escape in sixth starting lap five, but now I’ve got these guys in my draft, and I’m forced to burn fuel...
I’m not finding my best lines either after the cluster eff race beginning...Running mid 48...meh...
So I am gaining a bit on fifth, problem is AMG behind me and several 911. I’m unable to hit my good laps and break draft...
Lap seven an AMG ahead has a .5. Im gaining, and the Aston ahead of him is hanging on for dear life...
He serves and I can’t get past his inside block, and the AMG behind me darts inside at the hairpin.
I had to concede and start saving fuel...
Sitting seven...Just short shifting and hounding the AMG in sixth...
It works! End of lap 8 he goes wide and cops .5...
Gotcha.
He tried to swerve block me in pen zone, the game ghosts him less than a foot in front of me...
Sitting six...
Canadien in fifth in Aston, but I can’t get by him and let him go at the end.
9-6.
Plus 900.
Crazy race. I’m not sure today is a good day to battle...Seems like everybody has solid qual.
I just haven’t been able to catch a break last few races and get a chance to pressure the leaders...
I shared this race in game in case anyone gets bored. There’s a bit of action...

Ps. If you are gonna run 911 with no tcs, keep control of the vehicle. You know going in that you might get bumped...Maybe turn it on lap 1????

First one was going alright until I realized at the end I was a lap short on fuel, poor fuel management on my part, I was shifting about half bar, obviously it’s got to be less than that to make it all the way. Trying the old Merc next. :)

@Sven Jurgens and @Voodoovaj were both in that race, as always, it was a pleasure to race with you fellas! @Voodoovaj I tried to let you by as soon as possible when you came out of the pits because I didn’t want to hold you up, I wasn’t sure if you had grabbed tires or not so just in case I wanted to get out of your way. :)

So 25 laps of trying with the AMG has resulted in a best of 1:46.360. Good for 849th at the moment but will no doubt finish outside the top 1000. It absolutely rides the curbs better than anything else I've tried but unfortunately even the AMG doesn't stop that last sector from being the most hateful, despised, most miserable series of corners in the game.

On reflection, maybe I need to take a break

Think I'll try it out too.
What fuel mix do you run and do you need to pit?

The Merc’s ok, a little understeery at times but overall it wasn’t bad. Made it through the whole race this time at least, I probably could have gained another sport or two but GTR got in my way on the last lap, he must has had to turn his fuel mix way down on the last lap, but decided to stay right on the racing line? Oh well. What car to try next?

This one was a little messy. Dropped 4 positions. Would have been 3, but I gave a position back coming out of the final corner, after being unceremoniously punted into them a few laps earlier.

This one? This one was better. Pole, one tenth in front of an S/S Frenchmen. Lapping comfortably around 1:47.9xx/1:48.1xx. Pulling a gap of approx 0.800 a lap.

Then I got a little too aggressive over the right at the chicane. Looped it, ended in the gravel, backwards.

Balls. Win number 20 was SO close.

I'm trying the Beetle next, beep beep. The Atenza wasn't bad and I got 3rd in the rari but that was in the morning. I haven't gotten to the merc yet, I raced all the mr cars first.

I guess I'm alone in the next one, starting 20th.

Cool, I’ll see if I have the Atenza, I only have a handful of cars on this account. Didn’t I get the same Merc I just raced on the Daily wheel too, it figures.

I sat this one out for a Doob and coffee break, I’ll be back in the next one. :)

Open dare to run either Ferrari or Lambo!

Hahahaha

Edit: Looks like it’s the Rarri then, challenge accepted. ;)

I'm gonna go to Asia and do some no-qualy A races. I got a pretty good time in NA, but I guess I'm not very good with pressure and high expectations. I'm starting on pole almost every time, and thinking so much about not screwing up, that I'm almost always screwing up. Not really having fun. :indiff:

I guess I'd rather try to go from 12th to 6th, than just holding on to 1st. I suppose it probably sounds weird. I don't know.

Anybody?

Maggiore GP - GR3? It's not the same race back from 3-4 weeks ago? :boggled:

Edit: saving time...

Thanks for the share. :D
I kind of saved myself from falling out of DR B after a handful of good cautious races.

Race 1 @ Autopolis - Grid P11 Race P7. Made an awesome dive into turn 1 without causing any accident unlike others. Got up to P6 in the first lap, but struggled a little with grip and overheating tires on second lap, and lost a position after that while running really wide around the slow corners. The rest was just consistent driving into the 1:55s en route to the flag. I did accidentally light tap another guy while on the chase, but apologized to him post-race anyway to clear up the misunderstanding.

Next was Catalunya, initially did a 1:50 after spinning all over in the WRX without TC, had to switch to Evo X with TC to do a high 1:48. The technical uniqueness of the track makes it a highly challenging circuit while having excellent grip.

Race 2 @ Catalunya - Grid P9 Race P4. Made up a few positions within a few laps and held on to P3 for the middle part while managing fuel and tires. It was quite a heartbreak as I lost the podium to a faster player on the final lap when the gap closed up considerably over the last 4 laps. This was due to an error where I had used too much fuel while overtaking for track position, ended up saving fuel on the last half to keep the race going to the flag without losing excessively much. I was pretty happy with the result, surprised that many strong racers were doing ballet spins or tumbling down the order unexpectedly.

Race 3 @ Catalunya - Grid P10 Race P3. This was probably one of my strongest drives. The start was horribly bugged for almost half the field, my car drove out of the track and stopped. A few cars literally went off the track and parked at the side, on the straight run another was spinning all over the place and I accidentally rear ended him. First lap was really a mess, accidentally hit a driver and got a 2 second at the hairpin.

That was just the start, I had collected my focus and went for the conservative on fuel and tires, while trying to put the game pressure on the front pack. Caught up to the midfield at lap 5 and the battle went on for the rest of the race. Several cars were trading places and punting each other out, I just had to play the victim to get them some penalties. Some played strategy on me and got me cornered, leading me to lose positions, while some went to the pits for a cup of coffee.

Last lap was dramatic on the chicance and penultimate corner, the Porsche whom I chased hard throughout the latter half had spun while trying to overtake the podium runner who have just run out of fuel. I took the last grasp of chance to run past them and carefully navigated around the outside to bring home the podium trophy. Excellent work done. DR B, SR S. Saved both ratings and out of the danger zone for tonight.

I've studied the video! Thanks to that, I actually shaved off my best lap to a low 1:55.3 within 2 attempts. That's 2 whole seconds! Damn...am I that slow like a baby turtle? I couldn't believe it when I did a second faster every flying lap on the limit.

Anyway I took the Audi TT around and it was really nimble with little understeer, compared to the Huracan that I used in races for a neutral relaxed pace.
Nicely done on the time improvement. :]
I kinda miss the "mi-mi-mi-mistah!!" :)
It started feeling too cheesy for me, so I changed the intro haha. I should still have the edit file for that intro, so I can still use it for another video... I just don't know what kind of video I can use it on (yet).
Agreed. @Mistah_MCA, I like the old one better. 👍
It got cheesy for me lol.
... probably because when I'm editing the videos, I keep on hearing the intro.

Rari is a lot better nowadays, and still great on fuel. I'll be in the Beetle again, one SR Down last race. The car in front of me stalled at the apex with a car right behind me. The touch was hardly noticeable, couldn't have been more than a few kph difference, still SR Down. Difficulty level 11!

I'm having the best races in my entire GT Sport career at Race C this week! I'm DR B/SR S, and extremely time poor, so only managed a quali time of ~1:48.5. Decided to give the Gr.3 Atenza a spin for the first time, after hearing great things about it. This thing rocks!! I've only done a few races so far, starting between P12-14 each time. I've gained between 5-7 places in every race on no-stop strategies!

The Atenza is great on fuel and tyres, no need to short shift or save rubber. Just pedal to the metal, and you'll JUST make it to the finish. Ok, there was one race where I had to go to Fuel Map 3 for the last lap, but on the last 3 corners, I switched back to Fuel Map 1, and ran out of gas, like 5 metres before the finish lol! The Atenza's speed is alright, but handling is solid and stable. I run TC 0 and ABS Weak on a T-GT, had no problems keeping it on the tarmac and have had ZERO spins so far.

It's great fun reeling in 911s and R8s as they're forced to start sipping fuel and save rubber. I'm usually the only Atenza on the grid, and that makes it all the more satisfying. Great machine, great track. Will spam this race for all it's worth with the time that's left!

The Rarri was actually a nice drive, I just left it in FM2 the entire race and short shifted the first half, then wound it out more and more as I got closer to the end. It looked like a mess up front though, lots of spun out cars and red dots, I can’t wait to go back and watch that replay.

Nice race @Sven Jurgens Did Crabby knock you off too, or was that the other guy in the black Evo?
