It was fun racing with you guys in the weekly lobby last night. Sorry if I held you up as I didn't actually do any daily races this week just qual laps. And I think it showed as I spent a lot of time mowing grass, lol. Just a small suggestion @Pigems , maybe you could post here on the forum what the bonus races are going to be. That way we could have a car ready and get to run some practice laps before the lobby opens. I know I need more than a few minutes to get used a car/track combo. Any how always enjoy close clean races so thanks. Just checked my schedule and I probably won't be able to make next week's lobby, but look forward to seeing y'all on the track soon. I'm going to have to find time to race DT Seaside this week as I really enjoy that track.

Hey man, thanks for coming out last night! I do usually post the Bonus Races Saturday afternoon some time in this thread... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...saturdays-9pm-est-all-drivers-welcome.386718/

I’ll start posting them here too though just in case.

Well, looks like it's my last chance to get win no 20 for another week. I love DT. But, I'm not sure I'm strong enough there to get a win.

Still, means I can get the Idemitsu Honda out for another few runs.

I like the track, too. Even though I'm pretty lousy at it. In the last Gr.4 race at Seaside, I qualified 1,028th.
I'll probably just race from the back, unless I can figure out what I'm doing wrong in the Time Trail mode.
Either way, I'll still do some races there, because it's fun and I like the mountains in the background. 👍

I love that track as well, It gives me some Potrero de Los Funes feels (we need that track, Poliphony). But I like Maggiore more, so I'll probably focus more on the B event.

I went for red today, on the last day of some great racing this week!

Started from pole, and another pressure race from behind, with a gap of about 2 seconds throughout.........Win number 16 in the book!

While in qualy for the race, I moved the brake balance 1 to the rear, and the car felt that bit better on turn in, but didn't manage to nail a lap. So after the race, I had a go at the qualy session thingy, and managed to knock another 2 tenths off my best! :)

1:45.937, chuffed with that! :D

I'll be on a bit later for a last hurrah at the Race C, see some of you fellas hopefully!

Catalunya has been good to me but in the last few days I am getting matched with lots of A and A+ DR drivers... so starting at 14th and beyond but going up 3 or 4 places at the end.
Unlike the 911s, in which people had using Fuel Map 2, for me to finish a race with fuel in the M6, I have to use FM2 for first lap and FM3 for the rest.

During daily races, after you click Entry, is there any way to load up a ghost? I can't seem to figure it out. If I go straight into qualifying time trial it's fine. Any suggestions or is it meant to be this way?

Also, if you're in 2nd place and the 1st place guy is in front of you on the main straight but he is slowly swerving from left to right to avoid me picking up the draft, what should I do? Follow him completely even if he's jerking left and right or just choose my own line? Usually I follow once at the beginning of the main straight and then just stay on the outside.

First race at A, and I'm in with some seriously quick competition.

Still, didn't do too badly.

Edit: Getting win no 20 just got a little more tricky, I think.

Man those times are mad, I only broke into 1.47.9 for my top time and can do 1.48s consistently with the 911. I did this with the default TCS3 and I have been wondering whether I need to turn it down/off to go faster. Anyone had similar thoughts?

The RSR has great grip, so turning down the TCS shouldn't be an issue. Also, slow in, fast out, works incredibly well at Catalunya.

Not sure what to do, but I hope is SR drops like a stone for it. Because when it's perceived that I'm blocking someone, I get the orange SR down.

Hmm good point. Thankfully the blocking hasn't happened to me. The 1st place guy will be like .5 ahead and there's a distance between us, so I was just wondering if people just follow 1st identically or just stay their own line.

If anything I hope they they lose sr like you said lol

Yes man, you'll need to learn how to live without it, and manual transmition is also important. My advice is shock therapy: set off for once and learn to adapt (but depending on how steep of a learning curve it is for you, you might find better to set to 1 first). Just don't give up, it seems intimidating at first, crazy afterwards, but eventually will feel natural and you'll find powerful cars in the game all wonky with TCS enabled.

The only tip I'd advise you to follow is not going in small increments with it, like setting it to 2, than 1 and finally 0. It seems to me that this doesn't actually teach you how to tame and learn the car without TCS because the changes in how it behaves will be lost and hard to tell.

Yes I use manual and also concurrently playing other titles like Assetto Corsa and F1 2019 without TC, so handling it isn't much of an issue. I haven't bothered too much with TC in GTS only because there (seems to be) a need to purposely turn it off everytime I jump into a new car, I don't always remember so I just leave it at that. I am just curious if anyone has tried and proven this is the case (faster without TCS)

Wins 17 and 18!! I managed to control both races from the front....Sadly I lost my 4 clean race record for losing concentration, and running wide on the exit of the tight right before the final chicane!! :dopey:  And got a 0.5 penalty..... But who cares, I'm happy with a very successful, and more importantly, fun week!! Oh, and I lowered my qualy time to 1:45.788 in the end, mega!!

May it continue into the new Daily Races from tomorrow!! :D

By the way, I've just started a new TT, here's the thread for if any of you want to have a go! ;)

Today's C race was... ugh. Lol.

I entered in the GTR, since I wanted to see how it'd fare against the Porsche gang.

... I ended up in a Turismo lobby.
Deafsun, Rodrigo, DJ, and Lester were there.
I started behind them, but things quickly fell through. Since the GTR forgot to do this thing called "turn," the Porsches behind quickly caught up and almost pushed me off twice. Fell from 5th to 10th, only to catch up to 9th at the very end. Lost 300 DR bucks, but I'm more disappointed that the GTR couldn't compete with the Porsches.

Last Race C for me this week. Great racing at this track in the Porsche 911.
In this race I started 13th with 13 on the door. As usual, several higher ranked drivers in the grids in front of me.
I came in at 7th place when all was said and done with a clean race credit and I though that was strange, as I got a 0.5s penalty for going outside the track at one point.
All in all a great week of racing on this track.

I have been in the same position during the later part of this week. I was racing the 911 and I did not have to do any fuel mapping in any of the races. I was a little in trouble in the race were we were both racing, and needed to do some fuel saving in the end. And again, sorry for a stupid move in turn 1 ...

No worries! It’s been fun but very competitive! Hope to see you again!
Cheers

Well, it's been a good week. SR has stayed at the all important 99. DR has jumped by almost 8k, to 34,175. I'm now A/S rated and, at Catalunya at least, seem to be holding my own.

Final three races of the week ended as follows . .

This one would have been a 4th (and I'd have been perfectly happy with that) buuuut, it didn't go well . .

Sorry I didn't bump into you tonight mate, hopefully in the new races this week it'll happen! ;)

I could've edited this to make myself look like a saint but this is more honest.

I probably could've done a better job avoiding the Alfa and Gulf Porsche when they had their moments ahead of me and I could've tried taking the chicane on more of the laps but I don't think I was the worst driver in the race.

@Bivittavus88 @HammyMansell

This guy has 0 fuse man! Just unbelievable .

Not sure if its been mentioned, but the vette is workable in race c. Had some fun with it last night and this morning. Just need some agressive short shifting in fm1 and its able to keep up with the rsr pretty nicely.

Fuel economy is garbage, but I did manage my best race of any daily race this week with it.

I'll be making a lowlights video about my week in Race C tomorrow. I'll be out of town on vacation (or holiday, as some of you might say) for the last half of the week, so I'll probably not have many races run this week. Damn shame since I like the Group 3 cars in Race B.

Everything went horrible wrong tonight. Got pushed off, ram passed, door slammed etc etc. In 3 races. Minus 2300 dr

Did it look anything like this:

Started 4th, finished 4th. Nice little battle for the podium for most of the race, while the leader disappeared down the road.

Aaaaaaaaand . .

Can anyone tell me how to view the info in the 2nd pic? It'd be interesting to see how mine has gone up and down...
Can't find it in MyProfile on GT.com....
From the 3 bars at the top left (and the pic orientation) suggests its on a mobile site or app....
Cheers :)
