We don't need to know about it as much as the people in the race do. Name and shame all you want in the pre/post race chats. I've seen lots of pre-race warnings from a driver that's warning everyone about another driver.
Of course, that happens way more in the post-race chat.

Saw this livery in a race I was in last week. I literally LOL'd

How is Race A this week? I tried Dragon Trail last night. Two goes, got put off three times in the first one, ran out of petrol and ragequit the second. I could do with something simpler.

Race A - IMO is an absolute snooze fest. The best part of the race is the first lap. After that, the race is pretty much set.

I get that. But that's my point. They have to fake fuel consumption to force pit stops for a 10 lap race. Just make it a 10 lap race.

Race C -- not a fan of the set up.

Sorry I though your point was that the real life cars (with maths and examples given) would get better fuel consumption than those in the game, which is why I pointed out the fuel multiplier.

If your point is that your not a fan of the multipliers and the race should just be 10 laps with 1x fuel and tyre wear, then that's a little different and I have a few thoughts on that.

There are some people (myself included) that like the various pit strategies that come into play in longer races. If no multipliers were used then the race would have to be 70 odd laps, which I doubt would be too popular. PD's answer to this is the multipliers.

The problem we have in my eyes is that the races aren't quite long enough to ever really justify a pit stop. The time lost pitting is far greater than the time lost driving conservatively to make tyres and fuel last the distance. There was a time when the balance in this was better, and certainly FIA races used to be longer and pit stops were much more common than they are now.

I hope PD can address this as I get that many are not a fan of driving conservatively for what feels like a relatively short race. Either adding a few more laps, or speeding up the actual pit stop could rectify this.

WHy do people insist on being dirty. They don't read the race. The 4th placed car was trying everything to bump me off from passing and getting the lead. THe RC F was playing the long game. It let us both pass and this fool in the SLS, is slowing us both down by blocking me and trying to escort me into the wall each time I got alongside it.

When I get past it again, I took its braking line into T1. It avoided me and fell to 3rd. Just race fair.

I like you guys ideas to clean it up by credit (or even monetary :O) penalty, but yet again that all is moot when they allow infinite accounts. I think thats what needs to go to clean up the actual racing. Can't just go change screen names, regions, etc...

Some really shocking driving from a few S drivers in race A this evening. It’s been like bumper cars tonight! 3 races in a row I’ve been punterino’d at the hairpin!

Back down to SR A with a bit of work to do.

Hit my limit of 1.05.774 using a DS4 and the more laps I do the slower I get

After my 26 point SR race last night i feel ya. Getting good races at DT but man there are some monster disaster races happening there too. Will see if i can get some wonderful highlights of hell up later

The bigger factor is that the game doesn't always get the right person when it issues penalties.

Started P1. Trtialed Fuel 2, 3, 4, +short-shifting. It's just not my thing in the M4. Pitted halway with 5.1 laps in the tank. Filled to 7.9 laps and ran Fuel 1. Tried to overtake cleanly with the cars ahead on worn rubber. They brake way too early so, no go.

I'm not giving up. I'm just avoiding losing another 41 SR points in my next two races.
If you have a decent qualifying time on the board it's a good time to race. Losing SR will put you into slower lobbies so you should be able to get a couple of good results before the SR hits 99 again.

Everyone in here is pretty clean, right? I'm going to assume you are.

Race C does have potential to be a lot of fun. But, the random matchmaking, combined with that chicane, is a recipe for disaster.

Race B is a good combo. But, too short.

Race A is ruined by the BOP.

Anyone interested in a couple hours of lobby races one night this week? I propose three races.

Race A. 8 laps. MX5 Touring car. BoP off. Fixed settings. No tyre wear/fuel consumption. Sports Medium.

Race B. 8 laps. Gr.3. BoP on. Fixed settings. No tyre wear/fuel consumption. Racing hards.

Race C. 15 laps. BoP on. Fixed settings. 5x fuel. 8x tyres. Free choice of compound.

Qualifying for all would be 10 mins on Racing Super Softs (sports soft for the MX5) A/B without fuel/tyre wear. C with 2x for each. Fastest first.

I'll need to see if/when I can host. Should be able to confirm tomorrow evening.

We do that every Saturday night at 9pm EST. Typically we just do 2 runs of each of that weeks daily races, but it’s always clean and friendly. Oh, and there’s also Bonus Races. ;) Join us any time man.

Currently sat on a 46.325. I'll give my usual very late/early hours a go tomorrow night, see what happens.

Interesting. Only two things I'm not keen on. Half race distance for C (not a deal breaker in the slightest) and the 2AM start time . . Sarah may take exception to that, at the weekend. Maybe I can bribe her with new shoes?

Actually, no. I've just spent £600 on new boots. I refuse to buy more footwear. I'll bribe her with fancy chocolate

All this talk about real racing simulation, prompted me to look up the GT4 European Series regulations. There are hundreds of things in there that don't exist in GTS. I never thought of it as an accurate simulation of real racing.

I found one thing in the rule book that I guarantee would put an end to dirty driving. Obviously this real-life GT4 rule will never be added to the game, but it would be pretty funny it was.
Here it is:

19.5
Financial penalties issued under these regulations will be paid by cash or when possible Credit
Card (Mastercard / Visa / Amex ONLY plus additional transaction costs) to SRO Motorsports
Group, or his representative, which shall remain the sole beneficiary. SRO Motorsports Group
will donate this Financial penalty to a foundation. Cars will not be allowed to start the next
session unless issued financial penalties have been paid.

From real life racing experience but mostly on motorcycles you get a penalty but you also have to deal with the other driver after the race witch you dont have in GTS ;)

I just did a Race A. Stupid ghosting. Car in front doesn't move. It's ghosted. So I try to go around. 1/2 way through I guess they hit the gas and unghost. I try to avoid, car behind me smashes me into the wall. Everyone drives away while I get turned around. Got a warning too. Getting more and more of those warnings for being hit again.

I think I've seen enough for the week. Only done a few races but it's...uh... not great out there. People fighting pre-race in the messages. People trying to hit you off after you pass them. I know it's only a certain percentage but it feels like that percentage is rising.
