Here's one of those brilliant track re-entries that you can see coming from a mile away, but are powerless to do anything about. I could only hope that he'd ghost, but lady luck was not on my side.



By the way, the Huracan is a terrific car choice for race C if you're into braking really, really early, and you hate nimble handling. 👍

I had to check if this was me- I did that at the exact same place last night and felt horrible. I love this race so much though- the tension of nailing the chicane of death in traffic (or in general) is make or break.
 
After @JoeyLeonine beat me my Dragon TrailQT I decided let's go Race B :D .

Race 1
Genesis GR.3, BB +1, Number plate: 4 (Wt...?)
Qualified 8th but the 7th player left before race started
7th => 8th

There was a little carnage at the start but everyone survived it. Mostly. After I knocked out a Renault (I wrote to him after the race) I got 3 second penalty. Later (7th position) I met a "Ford John Cena GT" and dropped back to 11th. After that a saw a few ghosts and finished 8th :) . My DR went up but I lost 3 SR :( .

Race 2
Project "Let's get back to SR 99"
Genesis GR.3, BB +1, Number plate: 14

At the start of the second lap there was a brutal Supra vs Supra vs R8 fight. The loser? The Genesis at 6th place. The R8 knocked out the Supra and I t-boned him: 3 seconds penalty :( .
After I served the penalty I was 5th but a French guy (QT 2nd) overtake me after the... interesting corner. I felt is wasn't completely OK (checked the replay: he made a tons of contact in the entire race) but he was way faster then I was. 6th at the end.

These pictures were taken when he pushed... sorry... overtake me. I was already turning to the left (he used the same line in his own laps, no way he could make that turn without using me as a "wall") when he pushed his noose beside me and eventually forced me off the line. Had to brake and let him go. Who had the position? I was too defensive or he was to agressive?

Race 3

This was a "boring" race - except a brutally lagging AMG GT in front of me. He was scarry. After a few ghosts and finished 9th.
DR up, SR 99 again! :)

(This is a BIG post :S ).
I think I have to make a Ghostbusters livery for my Hyundai :D .

I never thought I'd say this, because the track hasn't been very kind to me, but I'm kinda starting to miss Mount Panorama. :odd:

There is a special place in hell for the people who thought "hey, you know what? that narrow and awkward australian track would be great on racing games".

I'll probably focus on Interlagos because I'm curious about how the strategy will play on this and, well, is Gr.3. Let's just hope they don't ruin it making the race way too short.

I love Interlagos up until I don't anymore, if you know what I mean. How anyone whipped an F1 beast around that thing is completely bonkers to me.

Unfortunately after being at the pointy end for a few races in a row I got a little over eager starting from 5th and made some questionable decisions (I drove like a dick), leading to some penalties which I fully deserved.

My only consolation is I don't think I ruined anyone else's race in the process.

SrS to SrB in one race.
 
I did 5 races this evening. That's right. 5 Race Cs. My tonight my wife is a GTS widow...

Race 1. P3 > P16. Exactly as it seems.
Race 2. P3 > P6. Not my worst.
Race 3. P3 > P6. Was leading this after first chicane until my 'in' lap. COD nibbled away for rest of the race.
Race 4. P2 > P15. P1& I got slammed by P3 through the chicane and then the worst first lap I've ever experienced happened. It. Was. Ridiculous.
Race 5. P7 > P9. Matched with @cowboyjon again, plus a load of other Bs throughout the grid. Held my own for the most part. COD nibbled again on last lap otherwise I may have finished as we started.

Net DR gain of 800 :lol: and some decent replay/video material to boot. So, all in all, not that disappointed really. Could have been worse. Might have been better if I hadn't bottled it every other lap!!!

Just saw a random @sturk0167 sighting down in the Asia region while trying to work my SR back to S. Sad to say but he seemed to be having the same amount of trouble with the chicane of death and pushy backmarkers as I was. Evo was looking good though. Welcome to Oceania divebombers! Psn name phreelickz

On another note I have managed to massage SR back up to low S and even keep my DR up above 16k by passing all the 1 stoppers in the no stop jag

Daily C has been really good for my DR, really enjoying the racing there. The 1-stoppers keep it interesting, though sometimes a bit aggressive. Made a video on one of my races talking through my decision making. I'm not the fastest driver around though, and English is not my native language so sorry in advance if I mess up some pronunciations.

Yeah, I really suck at that race. I won't be doing it again. I hate fuel-saving races. I like DT Gardens much more. I'm on to race A, now. 👍
