Another good week for my vacation. Interlagos is another favorite. I don’t care for Suzuka but I did win with my Cayman there last time.

Ayeayeaye! What a torrid evening down by the seaside...

2 Races.

Race 1. P4 > P15. Early doors, found myself going backwards through a field that had done far more races here than me, but in my eagerness to cling on I pushed too hard. Pitted in P16 and tried an undercut with fresh tyres, assuming no one else would change them. Actually finished P14 but took a 2sec penalty for being t-boned through the first chicane on last lap when the guy I passed refused to concede. Couldn't serve it and was only 1.8 secs ahead at the flag...

Race 2. P7 > Rage Quit. I'd ummed and arred about whether to do another and as I thought we were better than that, we went again. Ended up in a lobby with a load of DR/Bs including a super-cowboyjon (who may or may not be @cowboyjon ??) on pole. All was going well, sitting in behind a Slophy. Could have passed through T4-5 on L1 but sat in for the slip stream. Got punted from behind into the Esses and by the time the dust had settled we were P20 facing the wrong way. Against all my better judgements and behavious I really couldn't be bothered to do another 20 minute recovery drive. So I got out of dodge. Haven't looked at my DR/SR yet...:scared:

So anyway we went back into QTT to get rid of some frustration. @Kuraudo set a 47.5xx target in the NSX. A whole 9 tenths faster than what I managed yesterday... So I thought I'd give it a whirl. My first thoughts were that it felt rapid, but I could not get it to go round any quicker than my 48.4xxx Jag time for love nor money. Not even with some go faster mushrooms...

So we went back to the F-type.

I came at you bro.

47.4xx ;)
I give up :D :D :D . This is my max :D :D :D .

Race C @ Interlagos is racing hards
(i know this doesn't relate to your post i've quoted.. but i clicked the wrong quote and yer know.. it'll do :guilty:)

Was starting to get incredibly frustrated with race a and my lack of performance there, this week. I've done my usual routine so it's not a lack of seat time. I thought it could be that i was not really pushing hard the first day or two cuse i am so sick of this track, but that really is no excuse for how far off pace i was. This morning i was again running, although very consistently, 1.06.2's and .3's then a lap i didn't even think was good i finnaly broke under a 6...

The times are super tight this week, not sure the last time i couldn't crack well into the top 100, and how the f are the top ten down to near 05 flat???

After that race, I had a few races with @Trone_Colby, @NosOsH, and @NevilleNobody. GTPlanet was out in droves tonight :gtpflag:. Great racing with you guys.

Man I was peeved last night. At one point after a few laps it looked like we were all going to be lined up behind each other but as I went through the chicane of death I absolutely HAMMERED into someone who unghosted RIGHT on the exit line (and there's only one line). Droppe dlike 5 places, absolutely killed my race.

Then next race decided to try no-stopping the cayman. BAD idea as I was down to FM6 at one point, bailed with 3 laps left, was still in position 11 and gaining on the nop stoppers ahead of me when i realised i was nearly out of fuel as the system used my average use to calculate what I needed so was short on FM1. Dropped to 13th dammit.

In race C, I started 3rd, had a little battle with 2nd but not losing time in doing so before I got past. Chasing 1st who was no more than 1 - 1.5 seconds ahead but from his car (NSX) I knew he would be no stopping and could tell at places during the laps that he was also conserving fuel, I got past at the beginning of my pitting in lap.

So my question is, how is it possible for him to match the times I'm running, low 48's, stick with me for a whole lap before I pitted, I still come out 2nd but he's 20 seconds ahead and finishes 18seconds ahead of me?

I've tried no stopping and just can't seem to match them times short shifting or adjusting the fuel. Even if I'd got past earlier, he still had the pace to match my times.

So what is the no stop strategy, because I just can't figure it out. First time I've ran in these fuel and tyre wear races.

I have noticed a possible anomaly, maybe someone can answer. I know that tyres are cold and therefore grip is worse after a pitstop, but does the weight of fuel also have an effect in-game?
Absolutely it does. I don't notice so much in sport mode, but racing offline endurance races my best in race lap times are often at around half a tank when the weight is down but the tyres haven't worn too much yet.

(I know it would in real life but never felt any effect before in-race). I notice that my acceleration is worse and the car feels heavier after a pitstop than at any point in the first half of the race, unless my signal lagged a bit and it's a coincidence, or it's all in my head... My NSX has felt a bit like it's loaded with bricks sometimes.

In addition to the answer @The_Tullster gave, in FIA events you have a 10 minute qualifying session that has tyre wear and fuel consumption. For the first part of qualifying everyone drives around in first or second gear revving out the car to burn fuel making it lighter for their flying lap

My focus is Group 3 for Race B this week as I didn’t get time to race last week and I need to do more of that.
Using the Audi (the only car I’m going to use for race B this time).
All assists off apart from ABS default.

Main account qually time – 1:56.793 (within top 1000 for EMEA)
Second account – 1:57.180

The following races are on the second account.

1
Started 2nd of 16. All drivers. B/S. Pole: 1:57.093.
Rest of top 5 in the Supra.
Finished 3rd. Clean race. Blue SR.
Was overtaken into the banked hairpin. Didn’t have my radar on and he had a run at me, so just let him down the inside. He finished 4 seconds ahead of me anyway.

2
Started 5th of 16. All B/S. Pole: 1:56.237.
Two Supras, AMG and 911 in front of me.
Finished 5th. Clean race. Blue SR.
Top four were exchanging paint on first lap, but no penalties.
Had to defend from 6th on last lap. He got in front at one point, but a quick switch back on my part got him at the next corner. Was close and fair.

3
8th of 16. All B/S. Pole 1:55.726!
Audis, Supras and AMGs in front of me.
Finished 9th. Blue SR
Spin at turn 5 at the bottom of the hill cost me as was in 6th. Luckily once I finished the spin I was pointing the right way.
There were three cars in front that were really glitchy. Two from South Africa. It really does distract you and leads to hesitation.

Three races for 1300 DR.

Back to hot lapping. Based on other people’s times, I think I’ll need a low 1:56 to consistently start near the front on main account.

@morgan82 , Since the people here are all selfish, self centred 🤬, who arn't prepared to share, I feel obligated to tell you the secret solution to your problem. Now keep in mind, no one else here will let you in on this... they all know it, but lets face it, they are a mean spirited bunch. Now... are you paying attention? Are you *really*? ... Ok, here goes... the answer to your problem is.........Git Gud!!!! (yeh, I know... I'm going to burn for that one....... :p).

Nicely done. 👍
I have the day off today, so after I finish the Huracan livery that I've been working on (always takes longer than I think), I'm gonna try to get past Missy MCA. Not sure I want to try the race, though. It's fun for hot-lapping, but really not a great track for racing.

Sorry for running into to the back of you, coming off that final corner. I was right behind you, and you just didn't get going. I was thinking that you must have ran out of gas.

That was you? Had no idea, you should friend me. Yeah i did run out of gas mid corner! Man was i peeeved i didn't put enough fuel in.

Been busy week, finally had time to try the tsuku daily. Still waiting the RH tyres for the Mazda

BB -3 q time 1:05.678 missed almost every apex just a little, so there might be some time left.
