I agree. I feel the weekends would be a good time to implement longer races, say maybe 45-50 mins. Another thing I feel would spice up the Race C would be multi-class racing. They have it in some of the Challenge events. I know people will argue that there a lot of inpatient drivers, but it is way endurance racing works IRL. And PD is trying to imitate FIA racing, sooooo.

I love multiclass racing, but I don't think it would be wise on Sport mode. Average Joe wouldn't grasp why his car is so damn slower than some of the others, not to mention the blue flags while you are in a battle for position would lead to chaos. Maybe a Race D, with longer durations and SR S ranking as minimun, or leaving the faster cars only for more seasoned players... but still, the amount of people who plays this game without knowing nothing at all about racing in general is massive.

Race C getting a bit silly now as half the field no-stop the NSX ..... booooooring. Had a few messy races yesterday, just didn't get in the right groove but managed to hang in there in the race below and make a late charge. Action begins 13.30 for those with short attention spans.

Credit to the Ferrari driver for the entire first half of the race, I was a bit messy and he was solid.

I knew your name looked familiar. I'm the racer G_Stone899 in your race. Nice driving.

I got my license in 1982. I have, before and since, driven manuals, autos, unsynchronized 14 gear lorry's, tracked vehicles, both manual and auto, bikes and so on and so on.
I don't think I have ever made a full gas gear change on anything else than autos....

Quickshifters are great for it. I had one on my old GSX-R fighter. As you lift the shifter, it momentarily cuts the fuel, or ignition. That unloads the transmission, letting you shift.

Does make you a bit lazy, though

Tonight has started horribly.
First Race C, got punted off on the last corner of lap 2 by a Hungarian so fell to 19th (last) trying to drag my car out the sand. Gained some time in the pit window and from passing the carnage only to be handed a 2s penalty because an Italian in a 4C decided to dive in towards me in an attempt to block my inside line, then drove off into the grass, which ruined my final 2 laps and had me finish 11th. Contained the loss to 3 SR and 120 DR.
Let's hope the evening returns to the standard of the last couple of nights.

Gave daily C a few goes without a quali time and this was probably my best one:

Apologies about the sound I forgot to mute the offboard replay audio

I gave the race a couple more goes but in the Ferrari, but proceeded to die of death at the chicane of death each time

Logged onto my Euro account and did Race B, no qualifying, so started from the back.

Not bad.

I felt for the Ferrari. He was on my rear for the first 4 laps and never touched me and i tripped over him at turn 2. TBH bi tof a knock on effect as one HAS to get a run through that corner or it butchers your lap, then he nerfed you and I had nowhere to go but still, after all that good driving i pushed him a bit.

Are you using the D-pad? Your car jinks right and left awkwardly like mine, i can usually spot a D-pad tappy-tap-tapper.

I know how they work, but when I started riding bikes there where no sportbikes, no touring bikes and no custom bikes. Just motorbikes, you had to adapt the bike to it's use. So I rode all over Europe on a CB 750 with a single disc up front and a drum in the rear. So even though I have ridden sportbikes with quickshifts old habits die hard.

Perhaps a prerequisite challenge to be completed before you are allowed to participate would insure the drivers are at least qualified to complete. Say you have to pass X amount of cars in the time limit with the penalty system in place. Hell that wouldn't be a bad idea for Sport Mode in general instead of watching a couple of etiquette videos.

Ahh, fair enough. Yeah, I very rarely used mine. Had it set so that it wouldn't work below 7500rpm, as there's just no point using it around town.

Saved about 0.5s at RWYB drag days, though

So, I'm about 3 or 4 hours into making a WRX livery for next week's race, and everything has frozen on the decal select screen. Anyone know what to do? Is everything I've done gonna be lost? I feel like I'm probably screwed. :banghead:

Take a picture of you’re TV screen before exiting, then you at least have a photo of the car to recreate it. :)

It's stuck on the decal select screen. I remember exactly what the design looks like. It's a Sprite themed livery. I did about half of it, yesterday and saved it. Today I spent hours adding drops of condensation, to replicate a cold can on a warm day. It's the time involved in doing that, that's gonna be lost.
Oh, well. Next week's races look pretty lousy. I suppose I'll have more free time then, to redo it.

My next idea is to make a fish aquarium scene. That is gonna take a stupid amount of time. I'll lose my 🤬 if it freezes up during that one. I guess when I'm doing a really long project like that, I can just save it once an hour. 👍

That's a SERIOUSLY quick time for 21K DR. I am at 25K and with a 47.1 I am gaining points on mos ti am paired with.

I'm now at 22.5k DR and back to a 98 SR if that makes it better

Had pole and just ran to the end with the victory, a Jag was slowly catching me but I was lifting heavily into death chicane so I didn't fluff it up in the lambo

I think the livery editor is buggy. I had it lagging and freezing when selecting a custom decal. I deleted most of the ones I didn’t use and it solved the issue. Its a digital copy btw.

Absolutely. DS4 all the way. My after race message is real men race with controllers.

I tried the 1 stop strategy and there is no way I'm fast enough for it. If I fuel save and short shift I usually have a real good chance at a top 5 and if things break right a podium.
