I just ordered Ace combat 7. Fighter planes! 👍I hear ya, I typically love slow cars but this one really sucks. I’ve been dabbling with Assetto Corsa lately when I get bored of GTS, it’s a nice game.![]()

The GTR has been my go to car for this weeks Daily Race B. As far as the 911 goes, my races have been extremely 911 heavy. I've had the same observation when it comes to how well they've been doing. T1, and T2 catches them out in a bad way. It seems like just about all of the major pile ups this week at RBR have have at least one 911 in the mix.I tried the GTR I didn’t find it that bad, the Porsche doesn’t seem to do to well. The Aston Martin just seems more stable through the corners and easier to get the power down on the exit.

Between Wreckfest & Project Cars 2, I have plenty of non-GTS fun to have. Now, if I can just figure out how to set the cars in PC2 to work with my driving style on the DS4.Very tail happy.

I can’t get PC2 to work with my driving either, I can barely make it around a lap in that game. It seems to require every car to be extremely fine tuned to your driving.

I want a flying game, but I know that means I’d also want the joystick and pedals/controls to go with it. My wife would kill me.![]()
Me too the 911 is the main car I use for Gr.3 races but like you said out of those 2 corners when you have to get on the power it gets super twitchy with oversteer and kills any momentum you had going down the two straightaways right after those turnsThe GTR has been my go to car for this weeks Daily Race B. I actually have a pilot's license, and I'm an airplane geek, but with Ace combat 5 on PS3, I felt like the control with the DS4 was really good. Maybe @Sven Jurgens could shed some light on it. My thoughts exactly! I much prefer the Mustang or the AMG - I can't break the 29's, but I am getting very low 30's
I think I’m going to try the AMG, been using the Aston Martin and not doing to bad but the AMG seems to always be at the top.

Here's some inspiration, you can do it!

Project cars seems to need different settings for each car, at least on controller. And still steering never feels right. I don't even got to tuning the car, too busy tuning the controller settings![]()

Still working on that mythical clean race bonus at Tokyo.

I had someone try to do that to me at Fuji last week, it was hilarious. I try really hard to avoid contact when I'm behind someone, so I'd already lifted off the throttle and touched the brakes a bit when he brake checked me, so I didn't actually hit him. He didn't realise there had been no contact, so drove off the track anyway, and I sailed past. He quit shortly after.*Watching from his car now, currently on L4, he's got about six people penalties and it's brake checking/blocking then driving into the wall
Okay, so this is way off topic, and pretty obscure for most, but you just made me think about the movie Airplane 2, and the courtroom testimony for how well the emergency pilot, Ted Stryker landed the plane (testimony was spoken in jive).I have two.
So sturk's secret identity is either Bruce Dickinson or Michael Dorn 👍.
I'm in the same boat with the Aston atm. Got a 30.2 with the NSX but I'm finding the Aston much more consistent during the race. NSX is a bit nervous in S2.
Yeah I'm finding the AMG to be the easy mode car of the current BoP. I try to avoid using it as a result, I'd like to think I'm showing a bit of skill beating people that do use it with other cars.
Ya I set my qualifying lap with the GTR, I think I also got a 3rd place finish with it, but the Aston seems to be easier to keep consistent good laps. I generally just use whatever car I like not what’s at the top.
Anyone else ever find some guys with really good qualifying times seem to be very slow in race?
I had a guy off the start in front of me using a mustang (3rd) he qualified almost a second faster then me but during the first lap I got by him within the first 4 turns and by the end of the race he was almost 6 seconds behind. Found it odd he could run sub 1:30 in qualifying but struggled to consistently do 1:33-1:34 in race at RBR.
A lot of it is just race craft that players haven't been bothered to learn. It's not hard to chase a ghost, but its a different frame of mind you need be in to compete in the actual sporting side racing. Like I race better than I qualify just because the race is a different mode to be in, hit markers and apexes and positioning your car in the race. I see 'fast' players just blatantly outbreak themselves, take dive-bombs that cost time all the time. Also consistency. You've got to be near your quali time every lap, not one or two.
Several reasons I can think of:Anyone else ever find some guys with really good qualifying times seem to be very slow in race?
You are fastest on my friends list.I've been trying to get qualifying times under 2:08.0 for Race C and below 1:30.0 for Race B that has proven quite frustrating.
FINALLY managed a 1:29.9 at RBR using the Aston (never driven it before, kinda like it now). I would have had a 1:28.8 if it wasn't for 'ignoring track limits' just before the final corner.

Just need to hook up a decent lap for Race C now. Often get the optimal down there but getting everything hooked up in a single lap has eluded me so far. I've been racing in the Cayman which has kept the fun factor up and I enjoy being the sole Porsche in a field of Huracans!
