Huh?

@MIE1992 the cars in the top 10 are the fastest qualifying. That's not necessarily the same as the best racing car. Also, you might very well be faster in a slower car than you would be in the META, unless you really are an alien.
When I was on DS4, I was using chase cam.
When I started using the wheel, and to this day... I am still on chase cam.![]()
Totally agree! Last week at Brands the Megane Gr4 was just as fast as the Scirocco for me in quali but the Scirocco was hands down the best for the race. Neither the Megane Gr4 nor the Scirocco were the META cars of the day. I've used the Megane Gr4 this week in races (which is META this time) and tried the Jag F-Type on quali. I just can't get the Jag down the dipper confidently enough to race it. So yeh, top ten quali is one thing, your own preference, ability and actual race conditions are another.
Didn't someone here (@Pigems perhaps) suggest last week that if you use a car in a daily race then the qualification time that is used on the grid should be the time you got in that actual car? So, I may get a 2 min lap in car A and a 2 min 1 sec lap in car B. If I chose to race in car B then when the grid is being populated it's the 2 min 1 sec time that is used to place me.
I'm the opposite, I can get good times with the metas and things like the Hurrican, but I don't seem to be able to be consistent in anything other than the FR'sThe mountain with the Huracan is a blast, but I'm spoiled by AWD and have lost my throttle finesse for RWD. Hot lapping in the Aston put my backward a few times. Granted- Panorama is a difficult circuit for RWD anyway, but I'd really like to master it.
Which is why I use bumper cam. I was using roof cam when I first started playing GT games but finally got tired of being surprised by cars coming from behind. It took only a few days to get used to bumper.I guess you have no rear view mirror in 3rd person? I see them coming in the mirror first to start avoiding, then the radar to fine tune dodging. No clue why PD doesn't allow mirror in roof cam and 3rd person. You don't actually look at it, but any sudden suspect movement is easily caught from the corner of your eye. I would not want to drive without a mirror.
@Supergtp You drive a McLaren in race B? What's your psn, I got passed very cleanly in the final left before the straight this morning by a Mclaren, the first one I have seen in Daily race B.
And I enjoy a car viewed as an underdog, so I might start using this one.
even if 3rd person worked better I just don’t get it.
Blue and yellow Mégane. I hit the wawallwalll in the turn and opened the door. Both of my accounts sit at E, so maybe we have seen each other!
What were you driving? (And did you have a livery?) I hadn't had the replay saved sadly but I can sort of remember the cars and liveries.
Preferences. I've used chase cam in driving games for as long as I remember so switching to another view would be a difficult change to make. I also like to see the car I'm driving as opposed to, well, nothing.
On a lesser note, I wouldn't be able to see the rear of my beautiful liveries, either.

My psn is lazaruskie. If you see one named RacingGranpa it's my alt account that my son sometimes take a spin with.It might've been!
I was driving like a madlad through the corners, cutting the distance to the Méganes with the 'Laren's better braking and agility. Add me and we can race sometime!![]()
Well I'll be damned. I've done some races with you. I believe I saw you a few times at the most recent Lemans race. I was probably using my RPMcMurphy01 account. Of course I don't remember everybody in my races, but your name is a memorable one.I did a couple of races with you on my US account yesterday (James_Blonde38).
You should be looking at the road/surroundings, not your car.![]()
No racing for the past couple of nights. Tried a few cars but just can't seem to get comfortable with the Mountain like I did with the GT-R. Came close with the 'vette, but struggling with Skyline. I usually end up fishtailing after the turn in. Get it right and I'm golden all the way to Conrod. Maybe tomorrow.
Haha, yes Cheshire based. And that’s my mischievous side just chipping in with that name. Not had any comments yet so I’m under the radar![]()

Haha, trust me, I do! I guess what I'm saying is that I'm too used to maneuvering my car while it's front of me. That doesn't mean I don't pay attention to the road and surroundings.
I just spent about 15 minutes lapping St. Croix B to get reacquainted with the track before next week's races. What a nice track! It's plenty wide, and the scenery is nice, too. 👍 It's a pretty fast track, but has a couple of corners that are deceptive, as to how sharp they are.
I was using the AMG, with next week's settings, and I was @ 2:12. The problem is that the race is scheduled for 3 laps.
So, it's gonna be another 7 minute race B.smh
It’s truly astounding how readily the penalty system will let off an intentionally toxic driver while penalizing a driver doing their very best to run a clean race.
If PD had announced an improved penalty system to go alongside the Spec II release today they would’ve been lauded as gods among mortals.
I think just about everybody can relate to this. You're on pace to set your personal best lap time, and then on the last possible turn.......
It wasn't gonna be a great time, in terms of the rankings, but whether you're fast or slow, it will happen to you too (some of us more than others).![]()
Sometimes you're worse off when the penalty system actually works.
He still finished 2 places ahead of me despite being over a second slower per lap. That brake check cost me 15 seconds, while maybe the 10 sec he got in total, only costs you 4 seconds at the penalty zone.
Bring the DQ system back. Do something like that and disqualified, disconnected.
Here's another one. Friday's aren't nice anymore.
Penalty zones are a fail. They create dangerous situations and only give dirty drivers the rest of the lap to mess up your race when they get caught. Oh, he reported me for 'cheeting'
