How cold is -3c in Freedom Units? lol

It currently feels like -13c or 8.6F. Schools are not cancelled, roads are frozen, not plowed yet. The bus is probably going to be late so we'll be standing in the wind waiting for the bus :ouch:

It's 34f (1c) and raining / sleeting a bit here. One of our school districts closed. They close every time it looks like it kinda might do something out....maybe. I would have loved to have gone to that school.

I'm not sure when the Gr4 race at Autopolis was when I first found out it was off, but there have been some races since then when it was on again. I checked the settings before the race.

I've checked a few times although not for all races. Every time I noticed it's off so I rarely check now. Interesting to know it's switched on again for some races.

The first Gr.4 Autopolis race was back in May but there's been 3 others after. If that's the race you're referring to.

I don't notice, I run them both off anyway.

Currently 11.4C / 52.5F here with some wind (roughly midnight). Our schools close when it's forecast somewhere above 46C / 115F, not sure of the exact temp.

I think I've found my ride for Race B finally, but I'll have to be on top of my game as it's a twitchy beast.... the Supra. Haven't decided on C yet, but it may end up being the older NSX because I'm a masochist sometimes.

Probably the May one. A number of people posted about those two aids being off ... I think it was the first time.

Welp. Be that as it may, after trying the C4 erm I mean 4C (to be honest... both seem to wanna kill ya!), and finding I was skittering all over the place. I tried the Supra, which seems to be a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde deal. Some races it's been a dream, and others it's been a bloody death trap! This time round it seemed managable, but still needs a bit of pampering. Qualy time was pretty ordinary.. I need another 3 seconds. I started P10/16 and as I predicted, there's where me peeps were.. except for the 3 DR/A interlopers . Top 3 starters were R8s.

The start for the race was awkward.. mid chicane awkward. Being aware of the ASM/CSA situation I was able to hold off with giving it a bootfull till my wheels were strait and off the kerb. No spiny spin this time :p.

It was hard going. The guy in front of me was kinda holding me up and in the end I had to go onto the grass to avoid him. That cost me time.. which in a 4 lap race is time you can't afford to loose :odd:. I lost a place in the process, but managed to get it back.

The guy in front, without me behind must have gotten his act together, because whilst I was able to close the gap in places, generally he was going the same pace as me... I started to reel him in at the end, but just ran out of laps. Finished P8. Would have liked a better finish, but my lap times were still tentative and indecisive. Probably will improve over the week, but Race B looks to be my home for the week... I'll try Race C again Thursday and see if there are any more DR/Ds. With the combination of Autopolis and Gr2 I suspect not :guilty:.

SR Blue, DR up 240.. better than a kick in the nutz :dopey:. Another day above DR 1 .

Much as I hate to admit it, I've fallen back on the safe combo of the twins at Fuji. I tend to do well here, and managed to grab a handful of wins from pole last night. Qualy is 2:00.392. If you can avoid the first corner carnage which I was lucky enough to (mostly) manage, it's actually IMHO a pretty good race. Wish you could use your own liveries though.

Hopefully I can get some decent gametime this week and put a showing in at Maggiore too, although I'm not very strong there.

Autopolis? Group 2? No thanks, not for me!

I did the same as you last night - switched cars between race c’s and forgot to change the tyres to RM!
I bought the GTR’16 between races and jumped straight in with it and i was racing thinking hmmm the tyres are lasting way longer on this car than the Lexus. :dunce:

Then you mentioned it at the end, you’d forgot to check your tyres and it dawned on me that I’d done the same. I think that’s what I’m gonna do for the rest of the week now, the RH didn’t lose much time but it’s faster and much easier to handle in the last lap or so of each stint. I clocked a low 1:39 in race with the hards which surprised me.
Just need to stop binning it... 3 times in one race is no use to anyone, but there were some lunatics out there to provide the entertainment :dopey:
You need to qualify with pace like that, in the 2nd race last night that would've put you on the podium easily if you started anywhere near the front.

The fall off on the hards was good but it wasn't worth it for me, it took 4 laps for the times to even out to what I was getting on the mediums and you are a lot slower (about 2s a lap) at the start of the stint. I saw some people 2 stopping last night which I think would be quick on clear track but with traffic at the end of the race you're playing with fire.

Im thinking about buying the Epson NSX for Race C. I only have enough money for one gr2 car and not a ton of time to spend making money to buy more. Does it perform decent enough to be competitive? If not I will buy the GTR.

I drove it at seaside even though the GTRs were better there. I love the Epson NSX but id probably buy a GTR first. It seems to be more competitive at most combos.

I saw on Monday morning that B was Lago Maggiore and I was so excited. It's a track I like and know very well.

Anyway, I got a couple or ten laps as practise yesterday and got home early today to set about it. As is customary I drive better with a couple of beers and so you can probably imagine my surprise when I realised we were running the track in reverse. I need some pracice.

**Refreshing KP hoping to see better races next week**

**Pondering how many times we'll see Suzuka before Christmas**

I did give Maggiore a swing on my B account, with not surprising results. I don't know if my tires got dirty, but bottled it in a pretty bizarre place on the second lap. My engineer got on the radio shortly after to say there was a mechanical issue and that I should retire the car, which I promptly did.

It was a shame, the team worked really hard all weekend... (lol)

Haven't tested the Epson NSX since the last update but out of my collection of gr 2 cars, it's by far the hardest to drive fast (for me on a ds4 at least). Own the '08 GTR, '08 NSX and the '08 and '16 Lexus.

yes I will qualy tonight hopefully. I QF on my US a/c at about 37.2 I think but then jumped onto my 2nd UK account to have a play in a race. Still keeping up?

Did a few Race As last night and 1 this morning. All have been very clean races.

This morning. QT 2:01.366. Started pole. Finished 2nd. 1 penalty but finished blue.

2 races in a row with a penalty on the last lap. Just when I think I can cut a corner to catch the car ahead, I get 1 sec. Very sneaky (effective) placement. :irked::ouch:
