Here it's 1c and raining/sleeting. Our schools close when the pipes freeze. Or when it is impossible to get there. So far two days in 25 years.

Woke up to -19c yesterday morning; we also had 20cms of snow over the weekend. Had to run the car for 20 minutes just to warm it up for the trip to work.

Did one Race B this morning in the Z4, and it was handling like a bag of crap; understeer everywhere and also real tail happy. What had PD done to one of my favourite cars?

Well, turns out nothing. I was still on wets from the races 2 weeks prior!!!!

How much snow did you get? I got rain frozen to the truck. I thought I was going to break off a door handle just to warm it up.
Started as rain, then sleet, then snow. Looked like a about half an inch fell this AM. Most of it was probably sleet.

We had the same problem on the trucks!:lol: My wife thought the doors were still locked when she was loadin up. The ole diesel didn’t sound like it wanted to wake up.

15cm overnight here. Enough that it means another long winter, it aint going anywhere with that much down. I prefer the snow waits till just before Christmas. 6 months of it is to much, last year was early nov till late april we had snow come down. Grumble grumble.....

Doing a few A races before work with my 2.00.7 qt. First race was not bad. Started and finished in second. First was a decent racer and the rest of the field fell back. @Lgirasol was starting at the back and made up a handful of places. Internet dropped waiting to start the next race.. hope i can do the next two, then work.

Question, what should the tire pressure be of my car? The low pressure light came on with the cold weather and yep, the tries were down to just over 25 psi. Google suggests 35 to 40 psi for my vehicle while the manufacturer says a minimum of 30 psi.

The odd thing is, google claims 35 psi has better fuel economy while 40 psi provides a smoother ride. Isn't that backwards? On my bicycle, higher pressure is faster but obviously bumpier and less traction in corners. I use 80 psi for my rear tire, 70 psi front.

Anyway I pumped them up to 32 psi, should be good I guess, or my wife might be in a ditch now besides the road

Not sure if Canadian cars are the same, but vehicles in the US come with a sticker in the driver's door jam that recommends the optimal tire pressures. I believe those figures are what the tire pressure monitoring systems goes by.

@Sven Jurgens , what sturk said. Check the sticker in the drivers door jam.

After fussing with my connections i got my internet back stable just in time for one more race. It was well worth it. Had an amazing race with @BenRod from start to finish. No one else with us. My brake pedal is starting to Ghost brake again a bit and stuck on early in the first lap which let him get in front, then i followed so we could gap the field before i was gonna try anything. I got by in t1 of lap 3 and he did the same on the last lap to regain the lead and the win. Great to race with you as always sir  would have loved to stay on for a couple more with you but i gotta go earn the money and stuff.

There should be tire pressure specs on a sticker inside the driver's door near the latch. That's for cold tires, when they warm up the pressure increases slightly. And... 40psi is better fuel economy while 35 psi provides a smoother ride. I changed my tire size from factory size so the specs don't apply. I run them at max (36psi) for better drifting.

Ben's a damn good ally to have in the races. 👍
I'm always glad when I see that race A is a combo that I like, because I know I'll be seeing a lot of him. :)

It's because you're extra special.

I'm just a basic 🤬.
I feel special and loved. :D Thank you, mystery person!

We can both be basic 🤬.

What tyres in what conditions?

What tyres in what conditions?

They are kinda wet atm with chunks of snow.

Michelin tires, comfort hards I guess  all year tires, I never bother changing the tires for winter.

Anyways, the door sticker says 30 for cold tires. 32 close enough, wife came home safe, warning light went off, car is happy again. The extra pressure will be gone before it warms up again in 6 months :grumpy:

@Mistah_MCA He I'm premium too now! When did that happen.

Few more race B today but i was really scrappy, clipping grass from pushing too hard. Finally got a CRB on 3rd attempt but was pretty slow today.

Gave autopolis a quick qually spin, what a horrible track especially for gr2. Typical PD track - constant radius, 90 degree, and hairpins, absolutely zero flow.

Race C just now... Everyone drove off the track in different directions and did a U-turn in autodrive as the timer counted down. I gained 5 spots before the race even started. I was going to save the replay but by the 10th lap it was like driving on ice. Didn't finish.

Some of us find autopolis ok, even if it does get recycled too much. Sadly it is a real track. PD usually makes better tracks

some of you may recognize this profile, no doubt many of you have run into this clown more than once. what I don't understand is how he maintains SS rank. He runs the Canadian flag if you needed a hint. Per gran turismo, SS rank indicates skill and sportsmanship, positive reflection on the game. I am sure many complaints have been issued (I didnt), yet it appears GTS is not interested in demotion.

sorry for the rant, but this a$$pipe robbed me of a podium, probably he didnt like a lesser ranked player putting pressure on him. RBR last week, i qualified ahead of him, I messed up T1 on the first lap and didnt fight him when he passed. He took turn 3 wide the whole race. i maintained .2-.3 sec gap on him, and on the last lap, he went wide again, i took the inside in position to kept it there and gave him plenty of room; he blasted me off the track at the next turn, then claimed i dive bombed him, among other BS comments. Worst player i have ever run into.

dive bomber?

:guilty:

@T_702_Balone I've raced that dude quite a few times. I don't recall memorable problems that I've had with him. Perhaps I've just been lucky.

I suspect that if you ever pass him, unless he goes off himself, he will punt you. his SR record documents this. I think Sven has has run ins with him too, as I recall. Not someone you want to race with.

This is the racing history of a jackwagon that I've been on the lookout for. :mischievous: He has over 1,500 wins. Hmmmm..... I wonder why.
