Well, not only am I new here. Apparently, I'm also a moron. :dunce:

Pirovac asked me what the room ID was and I didn't know how to answer because I thought the room name identified the room.

My apologies. It would have been nice to race with you guys.

After 3 consecutive clean races yesterday, something that shocked and pleased me, I was battered from every which way and didn't want to have my day ruined today.

A few guys came in, all with Canadian flags. They raced clean and slaughtered me because I set it to any GR4 car, with no power restrictions. I should have thought that out better. My RCZ was close to stock and they were significantly faster. It was still fun.

1. Is there a way to know what the other cars in the rooms setups are?

2. Lobby racing doesn't track SR?

3. Is there a standard way to find GT Planet members rooms?

Ive run some free practice with acerboy as he reached out to me from here. I watched his IRS finals race the other night and, holy smokes, that crew is really, really good.

I'd like to run with members here who believe in pristine racing.

@slthree same here, I didn‘t bother doing daily races yesterday and ended up racing in public lobbies that either saw me win by a mile or getting shunted off track by low-SR drivers.
So if anyone is up for some lobby racing, just send a FR and say you‘re from GTP :lol: It‘s also always interesting to compare laptimes for the dailies :)

Mustang Mach 1 again for the One Make which is going to be a mess on Mount Panorama I bet.
GR.3 on Tokyo, did PD fix the wall riding yet?
GR.4 on Suzuka will restore any SR lost on the other 2 options.

GR.1 on the infield was a lot of fun, too bad it got dirty to the end of the night. I came within 440 points of DR.S, however the last 2 races I was booted to the back in lap 1, while the very last race had a C/S smurf alien up front soaking up the points, so no go. Even finishing 4th after climbing all the way back up still lost me 72 points.

The penalty system wasn't helping, nor people braking in stupid places for penalties. However despite all that, Bugatti on the infield, tons of fun to drive, and after lap 2 mostly clean and fair racing.

Not sure. I tried it out in practice/qualifying and only got 1 1.5 second penalty. I didn't set a qualifying time, and did not try that in the race, so no cheating on my part. I'm DR B SR B at the moment, that probably makes a difference, but it's sure not the 5 seconds it used to be.
 
Interlagos and me are not meant to be. I have a serious skill deficit on that track and it's an eternal fight to get the car going smoothly through all those weird twisty bends an elevations.

After todays race i analyzed the replay. A dude tried to knock me of on the straight, failed and then bumped off instead.

What a crappy dirty driver.. But then I watched his race and he was fairly clean until a few moments before he got to me. He had a bit of rough racing and made some mistakes i think he felt cheated. He started in the upper half and when he met me he had dropped down the field and was clearly frustrated. After the bump i met him again, when he was in the grass, no surprise he ended up quitting the race..

Suzuka for me then I guess. I'm not ready to deal with Tokyo, and I'm not doing any Race As till they change the car.
 
Gave race A a go, S/R went down a fair bit due to blockers and rammers, going to try again tho since it cant go a lot lower now already down from C to E!
Got pole for race 2 so might be better?
Edit: Won the second one clean race second never got within a couple of seconds went from 9 to 19 manner point so 8 more races to get back to 99?

Just try to have a good qualifying time at Suzuka. My previous best was 2:09:335

I also broke the mythical 2:09 (my previous record as well) barrier today! :D
But alas, once again the Top 10 are too fast for me to compete in :(

Edit: Hmm... Maybe just one race. My DR can take a hit I guess and still be S :lol:

Haha I don't even have an M4 on the Europe region :lol: I used (well, still am) to be a huge fan of that anime, so I have it as my livery on the car. I call her the "weebar" (weeaboo + car) :lol:

Did a 2.08.2 but with a small error so I guess I could‘ve made the Top 10...
Two races so far, both not so good due to some czech S/S divebomber and me running out fuel in race 1.

Yeah I'm struggling with suzuka its my first day of trying to compete on that circuit. I've practiced buy never raced.

My time of 2.08.8 is putting me around 8-10 and I'm lucky to make it through the race without a mistake or a punt. I have had a couple of lucky podiums though.

That is as close as it gets :-)
Lag/sync is also a factor in all this, what you see and the server sees is not always the same,
 
Is anything other than the M4 worth trying for race C? The top 10 is 9 of those and one Genesis!
Might jump i my Aston Martin, just taking the M4 for a spin first.
