I see penalties are still messed up.
Word of advice: Never do dailies in the Nurb.
People will try to overtake you anywhere in this track. You will miss a ton of DR.

It's still possible to thrive in the current system, but it takes a lot of races (over 10K already) to basically get to know everyone on the track and how to avoid them. It also requires different strategies depending on the flag I'm racing against. I know it might sound like stereotyping, but it keeps me in SR.S and has earned me nearly 10K DR already on the Nord without qualifying. (which gets me starting 5th to 19th depending on the time of day)

But even with all that experience, BS penalties still happen to me. Bumped or punted every other race by stupid and desperate moves that go unpenalized. All you can do is focus on the good runs, don't care about DR, try to stay calm and race at your own pace.

This week is bad for SR again. Sunday it took me 16 races to get from SR.B back to 99 SR on Sarthe. I hope I can hang on to SR.S this week.

My Nord lap from last night, I forgot to add the video. :)

What a good car. I am now on 8:33,100.
Looks pretty, but can be faster I think.
Try to improve on Thursday. Think I can drive a low 8:3X,XXX.

I dunno, the FF cars could have the straights, but Spa offers a lot more room through the twisties for passing than Bathurst so I think the Meganes will get eaten up.

I hope.

Nope. The Megane was not that slow in the twisties, a bit slower than RWD cars but not THAT slow. And it is SO SO SO much faster on the straights. It will eat everyone alive at Spa, there's so much full throttle there.

Oops, do no try this

I had a lot of speed on him but a little too late to go side by side and he firmly closed the door albeit a bit late. That kerb is not one you want to mess with lol. Result contact in which I went into the grass on the left, bounced off the wall, into him and took 3rd place penalty free :O Penalty system is a joke, but it owes me plenty by now :/ Too bad it was a good driver I hit. Luckily he wasn't too upset. No more of that.

3 laps Spa GR.4, no rain. Hmm, time for other games perhaps.

Reading these comments is.making me think I made the good choice to take it easy this week and skip a few days. Will definitely do some hot laps at interlagos as I do really like the track, just not sure about the races. 1 make at the nord is like kryptonite for me. Worse than race A usually.

Looking forward to next week as I like the bits of gr.x but ugh, catalunya kills me. Spa could keep it nicely clean for me though. Any guesses on the car with mediums?

Next week's races are up (early)!

A - Suzuka East, N300 (JDM cars?), Sports Hard
B -
:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: SPA :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: , Gr. 4, Racing Hard
C - Catalunya, Gr. X, Racing Medium

I think PD may have read our comments.

With spa being on Race B and 3 laps, I can't be excited about it...

But that Race C though... Any idea what car might it be?
Super formula? (on a non Japonese track )
The Red bull maybe?
As long as it's not the new Jag, I'll be happy..

Is there actually any way to raise my sr without taking a dr hit and driving at the back? I try to drive carefully and let people by and i still get tapped enough per race that i barely gain sr. C/Low B are absolutely disgusting. I dont know how people can run a quick qualy lap and then look like a total amateur in the race. I just want my sr back up so i can join my usual sr restricted lobbies.

Also is nurb or lagos the better clean race sr gain?

I’m about to do some testing, I’ll post the results shortly. :)
You're plenty quick so i think you will get close with a RWD car but from say 30K DR down, we ain't gonna get close as we don't carry enough corner speed.

I know Bathurst, been there, watched every race for 36 years. i know it in my sleep. i couldn't get within 8/10th of my megane time.

Sorry, can't help you this week. Autopolis is probably the safest without losing DR. All 3 races aren't worth much SR, Interlagos and Nord are both risky. All you can do is race during school hours, the cleanest period is from 9 am to 3 pm (EST). Early mornings in the weekend works as well until the mess wakes up. (Nord is worth a bit more SR than Interlagos)

Catalunya 13 laps, PD likes 18 minutes races, what does 1 minute 20 laps around Catalunya?

Love race B but whyyyyyy the GR.4 cars. Going to use the Subaru for a laugh.

Race C could be interesting. It's probably going to be the Jag VGT. But it would be nice to see the Super Formula outside of Japan for once.

Yeah penalty system is balls. Starting pole at interlagos, with cold tyres t1 is hard, but P2 is always within no risk dive bomb territory so what can you do? I got a penalty after the guy hit me from behind and then bounced into the pit wall. Bear in mind he hit my rear and I was already breaking so late as to struggle to hit the apex.

As soon as your SR is below S you're in free fall. I had none of these issues in S and then one unlucky SR race I'm in A... Then the next thing you know you're punted to C.

I raced iracing for a couple of years, had no issues there so I'm pretty sure it's not me causing these problems.

Only thing you can do is take inside and brake early...Braking early, hard to get offed. You might get sr down but that’s it.

I honestly felt bored doing a quick hotlap session for Daily Race B. I'm not even happy with the 1:31.7 that I did but I have no motivation to do better than that.

Having some great racing at the nord today, including a great one with @Sven Jurgens nust now.

I was running good in third. A nice parade lap trying to build space on the field, and it was working. Then i needlessly pushed it in the turn onto the loooong straight. Touch grass-spin 360, get going again just in time to be able to cath svens slip when he passed as he was already up to 5, now 4 after he passed me. I had a great time trying to meep up with you sir, was to bad you clippped the grass there. I get cought on that saame spot often myself tbh. We still finished 4, 5 at least.

Next.....

i kinda figured it was a bad week for sr gains. i made 10 sr at nord last night but on the next race it was chaos.

It’s a pretty close race around Spa in Gr4 cars, the GTR is probably the easiest to go fast in, I like the Jag best to drive though. :)

Just don’t use the Hurrican, it’s terrible.

What happened to the Hurucan? it was my go to Group4 car for ages then just .... fail.

i hope i can repeat your experience, i really like driving the jag and the RCF.
