I got back to SR.S only to get put in this. Another race I could have easily won but shows that qualifying and starting on pole pays off.

The action starts at 1:02, it's the whole race sped up where nothing happens.
I know, don't get in between two fighting cars, yet mr pusher behind me left me little choice.

@Voodoovaj The dirty tire effect has definitely been increased. I got bumped onto the grass for just a few seconds in that clip and had no grip for next few corners. Another way dirty drivers can grief you :(

I have also noticed mysterious differences in car handling causing my times to drop a lot. I don't know if its the game or me. Normally I'm more consistent, perhaps the car just sucks. My brake point for Aremberg always seems too early or too late, can't nail it the way the handling keeps changing.

That's a some pretty sweet action! I wish me and @Groundfish were there with you to take out the trash. :mischievous:

Should have stayed away. Thought I was doing well after running a bunch of practice laps of the Nord Last night. Even had a solid race there, climbed from 13th to 5th until all the no qualifying guys came past and I made a couple of mistakes dropping me to 10th. All Good. Even had a good race killing time at Interlagos this morning. Got a beauty of a win thanks to the 2 people in front beating the crap out of each other then going synchronized spinning.

Then I went back to attempt the keeping a handle on the 86. Umm, not too good. I'm over this 🤬🤬🤬🤬 penalty system. I get a decent start, but have a huge run into the straight to Aremberg (@Sven Jurgens I got the track map open to get these right) and I get blocked off hard, just a last second cut off. I manage to keep it in one piece with 2 wheels on the grass (HOW?? WTF?!?) and get a 2 second penalty for my efforts. I slide and this lets the guy back through. Where I follow for ages, watching him cut corner after corner, ending up with only a 0.5 second penalty total until he goes full speed into the wall at the karussell for a 5 second effort. When we serve our penalties I am 0.2 ahead, after they are done (me 2 sec, him 5.5) I am only 0.7 ahead? Even with the speed difference on the straight due to having served our slow down I am only 2.8 ahead at the tight turns finishing the lap. Get another penalty as I touch a wheel on the grass and lose it, try to rejoin safely when I think he is past, going 15-20 mph into Aremberg (again:rolleyes:) only he sliding slowly past . . . and I'm not ghosted. Another 2. Same lap again, all over his rear, he gets 0.5 after cutting 10 corners or so, and when we serve on the straight I am down 2 seconds and growing massively, no chance for me.:mad::mad:

One more race and it is over at the start as I get a wall riding penalty by slipping a tire onto the grass and getting slammed into the wall on one of the mid speed lefts at the start. It keeps me pinned to the wall no matter I am slowing and turning away. 5 seconds for fun. Then to rub salt in the wound I am following another corner cutter but making too many of my own mistakes to actually pass when I get a track limit penalty while still having 2 wheels on the track!:irked: It is not for me this week. Race B maybe, but I find it super stressful. Getting jobbed by the penalty system and then driving like 🤬 in Race C is no good for me. Cheers to those of you handling it well:cheers:, I can't figure it out in morning races:ouch:.

Forgot to add RANT OVER!
Back to hot lapping and fun.

I am fuming!🤬

Made it up to 2nd place in Race A and had just come round the final bend, heading towards the finish line when the screen froze! Still heard all the audio, but next thing I saw was that I had 'finished' in 8th place even though I'd had over 0.5s lead over P3 when it happened. A fellow racer said it had "Looked fine to him" but he was obviously referring to his race running normally. Timed out before I could get more info from him, and all others had left.

Edit: realised too late that I hadn't saved the replay to see how it looked on that.:banghead:

Had loads of races today. A couple at 8:30 and 9pm had me starting on pole, and got me a second (drafted on the final straight) and first in a field of all DR B.
Then next 4 races was a mix of dr S, A+, A, B, and I'm starting mid pack and crashing a lot. It was like i just lost a bit of grip for the entire race, sliding on power and out braking myself. Maybe i just got nords fatigue.
Still got myself another 3000 DR despite some terrible finishes for those final 4 (think i had a 16th and 18th!!)

Now I'm thirsty.

It's sturk's fault.

(I'll let you figure out who the blue/green car is ;).)

What's the current consensus on next week's Gr.X car? Super Formula? I hope it's SF. Otherwise I've wasted a day making a nice black, and orange livery
Don't know but I am figuring SF or one of the red bulls. I am hoping for SF as well but don't trust PD to let us have it on a non japanese track.

And yeah, I agree we have just lost buckets of grip all of a sudden as well. Not just on race C but on almost all the stuff in B and A as well. My formerly stuck to the track RC-F now skates around Interlagos like I am on rain tires. Going to take so.e getting used to

Holy guacamole. That is insane. That's SR E stuff.

I spent way too much time in race B this week. Race C is obviously where it's at!:gtpflag:

Edit: perhaps I spoke too soon? Regardless, the 86 is genuinely fun for me to whip (and spin) around the Nordschleife. I think I spelled it correctly. It's like driving my own car around it, but with 20 more horsepower, rwd, and great weight balance. And also not a Corolla Xrs. So, pretty much exactly the same

Get yourself an American account. It's pretty dirty over here, but it's good practice. 👍

omething that hasn't been discussed much is this issue with grip loss. It's definitely happening and I have had a few very good drivers ask me if I am experiencing these same issues.
Oddly not everyone is having the same experience. So far I've only noticed grip issues where it can be directly attributed to dirty air or dirty tyres. Maybe I'm just not pushing my cars hard enough, but that's been my experience.

I don't know, it seems to mainly be me that is the problem. That and already getting yellow 3 bars at best here in Asia makes me question how laggy I might be. ...
Might have to give it a try. It could give me a reason to faff about on races I would normally ignore. Not to be dirty, but not have to worry about my main.
Give it a go. I've tried it and it's usually no worse than Asia. Also, Friday Night racing is hosted in north America and that's fine. At worst, you'll have as good or better connection as most of the south American drivers.

Speaking of speedy players at lower Dr and sr, it’s quite surprising, but at night there’s tons of pretty fast players on b race at call it mid level B and B or b and a. I took third once tonight and never turned a lap over 32.7.
That’s at B and B.
I personally use alt because so many people use alts. At higher rooms you might be facing who knows who at any given moment. It’s very frustrating to get ahead and to frustrate a fast driver and have them resort to gaming you like baby punt or causing you to get pens, but on alt who cares.
I was forced to get the alt because sometimes you don’t feel like working on a combo all week, getting a sweet time and then getting kicked in the nuts on race day.
It’s just more fun to race and let whatever happens happens imo. I had a great night of alt racing at midpack race b tonight, My alt qual is at 32.5.
The only lame ones were when I got matched into a walkoff. That happened twice. It was fun, lots of clean close racing, and some dirty knocking, and some podiums.
The game is fantastic fun and can be enjoyed many ways.
For me fast b is fun racing. Mid A is too much work. Sr A B or S are all fun. C and below sr is out and out wreckfest.

If you've made the livery with a Honda engine it will be a race for the Toyota, if you've made it with a Toyota engine it will be a Honda race

I don't think we've had a SF away from a track in the real championship yet so I think F1500 or Red Bull X is more likely.

There's other cars in Gr.X besides the open wheelers. Any chance it might be the Rote Sau?
Edit: Nah, at 13 laps the race would be too long (by PD standards) and would run too close to the 30 minutes, if not over.
