Done a C today, really shows how badly people plan fuel maps.
Some go twice, some run out of it in last few turns.

Started 12th, finished 3rd, with nr 4 trying to push me of track when I was taking him over while he cruised empty (final apex), just to find 3rd places guy running out off fuel literally 15m away from line xD

My usual tactic for the dailies is that I try to be a touch less aggressive on the throttle than in qualifying. For me, losing a tenth or two on a lap is worth the gain in being consistently fast and giving me a margin of error.

Something changed in between GT6 and GT Sport because trying to hit that 60-90% range is proving far harder now.
 
Guys was I mistaken in thinking that cars' fuel consumption and fuel tank sizes were equalised in BOP in a recent update?
 
First race of the day at Interlagos. Ive qualified P6 with a 39.042. Hopefully my Viper and I can beat back these BMWs (only a couple in this race) and maintain my Dr A status!
 
Weird thing in race C today. Guy in lead pitted in at lap 7 4 seconds front of me. Never saw him again after pit stop. I was leading race (4sec penalty on my shoulders) but when crossing finish line every lap that guy jumped on first place on leaderboard. Soon after first turn I returned to race leader.

After race I was watching replay, and noticed that guy never left from pits. View from his car looked like watching sky, light blue. Of course he won the race. New pit glitch? Or just some kind of a bug?

How do you upload a replay here? And another question, can I report that case somehow afterwards?

I actually had almost the same thing!

Firstly, I started 12th, guy in front of me shows 19th above his car, from UK, however I look at leaderboards and he's nowhere near me.

Fast forward, 2 laps to go, I see a Dutch guy (I think) in front of me on the leaderboards but this guy is still in front of me and still nr 19 above his car.

Finished the race and checked replays, he went into pit and never came out.. Lagged out? How was he racing then?
 
I just got disconnected for the very first time in race C. My SR after that "race" was dropped from 91 yesterday to 19 today. What the **** is going on?!?

Not sure if related but when I first started playing GT Sport, I ended up disconnecting from an online race. Or at least I thought I did. Everyone else drove off track and stayed there. After pitting, everyone magically reappeared for a lap only to disappear again. I ended up winning but I had intervals for everyone else. It was as though they were always there but couldn't see them and probably vice versa.

For me, this was a network configuration issue I fixed by setting up my open ports correctly.
 
I was excited to do some races on Interlaces today, as I really like this track. But oh boy, people behave like 🤬
After 2 races I was done...

First race one guy kept on blocking and defending like a maniac. Resulting in multiple penalties I couldn't avoid.
And the second race.....well, just watch the video!



He must've been mad because he started last, or he simply is a 🤬 idk.
Not only did he ram two of us out of the race. No, he kept on trying to block others and distract them as much as he could.
But the best thing was, he managed to get the fastest lap! :odd: It looks like he managed to do that while cutting as many corners as he could. And he still has an S Rank, what a great Sportsman :yuck::lol:

Btw, I'm glad PD finally made ghosting for lapped cars permanent! 👍
 
Race B is great. Had 2 good ones that were pretty clean. Kind of wish the Supra in this setup was part of Race A instead of that damn Civic.

Oh wow! That was some incredible scumbaggery - that guy has a real talent!

Of course, for a mistake a display of humility by offering something as simple as an apology. But the comment just reminded me of all the malicious drivers that try to knock everyone off the road to gain a place then say sorry like it makes it ok.
 
I did a couple of races on Suzuka. Matchmaking was having fun, DR.A to DR.D and SR.S to SR.B together, 33% without qualifying, let the bumping begin. Once guy kept punting me from behind every time I passed him and in the end rammed me repeatedly until I ended up in the wall for the final turn. He was C/S, immune to penalties apparently. I did end up with a penalty for getting rammed into a 'shortcut'.

In another race I got surprised by someone braking early, I thought I caught it in time yet he didn't lift off the brakes either to turn in where he should and I slightly bumped him. I kept on the brakes, gave him all the room in the world, he didn't suffer any from the small bump, made the chicane with plenty room to spare, yet 5 sec penalty and -6 SR overall for that one incident in the entire race. Just another day at discrimination Sport.

Sounds like those guys who crash into other cars during a race then say sorry on the post race, like that makes it better for ruining someone’s race. Always makes me chuckle.

It all depends on how they react after making a mistake. If they pass you anyway then sorry means nothing. If they brake and not pass you then I believe you. If they pass then slow down to serve the penalty later, you're just sorry you got caught.

Yeah Interlagos was incredibly touchy today. I had a few 3-5sec penalties for barely leaving the track limits ( on the outside of the corners not the inside) from coming in a bit too hot on worn tires. Unusual for this track.

Had 4 clean races which brought my SR back up to A from C (first time back to sport mode after the tragedy that was Tokyo earlier this week)

Then I decide WTH I'll do one more before bed. I'm back to A so it probably will be another clean race, right? WRONG. :ouch:

T1 was a mess and I had people divebombing me (3x?) through the back half of the track up until I got some space around lap 3. Then I catch up to P5 and tail him up until lap 8 where I make a clean pass. Hold the position until final lap then the guy tries to shove past me on every corner by out braking on the inside. I end the race back down to SR C? Lost 30 SR points in one race.... Really?:banghead:

I'm Soo close to DR A that I can taste it now. I'm at 29800 pts but at SR C I'll have to wait for that coveted A rank.:crazy::irked:
 
I took a chance driving the Supra around Suzuka. That was a worthy enough adventure for me to share once I have it.

Otherwise, I did a few rounds at Interlagos with the Gr.4 Vantage. First time, the game didn't give me new tires for some reason. I could've goofed for all I know. No surprise, all the other races had the M4 brigade but I did my best against them. Not the most exciting but...



I also tried to readjust my feet memory to compensate for the throttle issue. Can't say it has had much success so I'll need to keep yelling at myself mentally.
