Terrible time at Maggiore yesterday. Three races in a row I got wrecked. Dirty driving at the a/s level.

I finished last every race and once again am in danger of falling out of Dr A. Glad to see lagos is a daily, as that should save me. Unfortunately , I won't be able to play until this evening.

I think I saw you yesterday. Maggiore was indeed terrible. I lost 10K DR there, although helped with having to quit a few times when the phone rang. Then I made 3K back on Monza despite a disconnect and again having to quit once for stuff coming in the way.

A few days ago I was 440 points away from DR.S, now back to 9.1k away. So many laggy players yesterday. I did manage a win on Monza as the 1 bar connection lagged into me and got a penalty. He punted me into Ascari, however for once I didn't get completely screwed and he had a big penalty to serve so had to let me ahead again. Yet driving GR.1 with 1 bar, irresponsible imo. The only way to pass him was to wait for him to screw up. Can't pass a saw tooth jittering race car on Monza, teleporting side to side.

Lexus, as always :)

But I tried laps in M6 and 911 as well. Just don't have the "feel" for them as I do with the Lexus, although driving the Porsche felt much quicker and actually a bit easier to corner, I just don't know it well enough (any more).

The main frustration for me is coming out of T2, I can feel the car just sitting waiting for TCS to drop and for the power to come on... I can't do it with not TCS though, I just spin :(

Edit: as for Interlagos.... my previous best in group 4 is 1:39.256 which is only good enough for 9%. Given I managed to go from about 9% to 1.9% in group 3 on the weekend, top 2% is the target for tonight.

I did it this way: I tried with the M6 and was spinning and spinning. Then went to the 911 and did a somewhat ok-ish lap (a mid 1:57 or so...) and then when I tried to be a more aggressive I again was spinning and spinning. So I got a little frustrated and said to myself: what the heck, if I am spinning anyway, I can do it in the M6 as well. Went back to the M6 and suddenly I wasn't spinning so much anymore. It sounds crazy but in the end I felt way more in control with the M6 than with the 911. It spins easily but it's almost like it is more predictable when it will spin than the 911.
Then went on to do a 1:55:6 (I doubt I can easily replicate this lap tho, this was pretty close to my opt...).

Regarding turn 2 on Maggiore: you have to be unbelievably patient there. I always thought I am losing seconds there as long as I have to wait to safely hit the throttle, but watching the @ferrari312t replay I saw that even the best have to be patient there. Also in the race I barely lost any time there, if any at all. You just have to be suuuper patient to hit the throttle there.

Nice time!

Yeah, I am patient but it's the TCS pulling the power.... I go round the corner very slowly (over the big yellow curbs, of course) point forwards, hit R2 and it just sort of does nothing for a moment

No way I can drive without TCS though unfortunately.

@Robben Glad to see someone like you set yourself a target on a specific track.

I alse target to break my previous barrier at 1:38:3xx. Studied again the top star replay again today before my run. Finally, just do it 1:37:912. First time see my name on regional table, though, maybe a very short time. Never that close to the star. Very happy.:gtpflag:

Congrats  and thanks for giving me something to aim for too :) what car did you use and what is the choice in Asia for today?

Yep it takes some doing but it's possible. I've just won from13th on the grid.
You are just too good mate ffs

Qually time of 1.38.9
I'm just lucky to get a couple of wins in before everyone's doing the fuel save run.:D

Just won from 17th and beat some good DR S rank drivers.
This fuel save is OP for sure.

It's possible, but my psn is not the same as my account name on here. Psn is pie4july. (Hate the name, but I was like 12 when I got my ps3 lol)

What is your psn?

My PSN is SvennoJ. Yep I saw you, you had a greeting message a while ago with TheGeologist hence I remembered pie4july.

I hope the Supra is fast. I'm better with faster cars. I did one Suzuka east race yesterday when I got disconnected from the daily C at race start. Finally that weird :05 starting time was useful. Yet I only gained 2 positions from the people in front of me having penalties... After GR.1 driving a civic was hard!

2 slow races and Interlagos with the short shifters in the M4, I think I'll go to bed early for a change :)

Well done... guess it helps as Interlagos' pit is about 3 miles long. Must get a bit twitchy on tyres towards the end there.

I see @ASH32 in 5th there :gtpflag:

Cheers 👍 nice variety again.

Might try the TT actually... only problem is tyres towards the final laps...
To preserve the front tyres, try to set rear brake bias. Though set front brake bias seems better cornering.

Any assists?

Talking of assists on the TT... I'm surprised no one has mentioned that most of the top 10 from Yama II on Friday were using ASM.

Huh... I didn't notice that :odd: to be fair though, I only watched one replay so maybe he's an outlier

Race C for me tonight. The grid was a fairly diverse mix of cars. Pole was driving a Scirocco. As far as matching goes, 20 cars, 6 Ds, the rest about an even mix of As and Bs. Finished 11th, one position up from qualifying. After loosing 15 SR points at Monza yesterday, I'm one point away from where I want to be.

Was weird at the end. I'm not sure if a couple of people decided to loose their penalties within sight of the finish line, or if they just stuffed up their fuel strategy, but I blew past two cars right near the finish line.

So those damn BMWs are trying not to pit again? That might be hard to fight off. Lagos has a long pit road...

My Viper and I don't care though, we'll try to do it the real way and fight some of those BMWs back :)

I can't play til later though, so I'm worried everyone might be attempting the strategy by then

I'd presume they are clearing penalties.

Yeah the pit lane is so long you get a big gap to manage, I was 1-3 seconds (maybe more) a lap slower after they had pitted but could still hold them off.

The tyres weren't to bad and they are going down evenly at the front, unlike yamagiwa where it cooks the **** out of the front right.
My times dropped from a 1:39 at best down to a high 1:42 on the last couple of laps.

Though started at 3rd and maintained the position before going to pit. Final top 5 (all m4) didn’t pit at all. Ridiculous :ouch:

Luckily got FL as a self esteem.:grumpy:

Good going. May try it with the Huracan which I've had luck with on 10 lappers in the past... 4WD is good for tyres :)

Yep, I was a bit rubbish having not really raced for weeks but there is no chance of beating a 0 stopper here anyway, so you have to do the M4 no rev shift thing (which I was not doing) if you want to win.

I got some 4 second penalties for the most minor of touches too and another one for a touch on a guy who I ended up right behind exiting the pits and then he was so slow through the next corner, caught me out completely.

Give up. Another FL yet another M4 podium. :boggled: Behind 1st place 30s though I started at 3rd. We were competing in different race. Poor my lovely TT:banghead:

A bit redeem from the game it gives me a Cobra 427 today. The game knows human emotion:yuck:

congrats but disappointed to hear this. I really wanted to farm some wins in the Atenza tonight but maybe it wont be possible

Yes you have no chance if someone in a M4 shifts with little to no revs. Even in a M4 shifting a bit early, I was setting fastest laps but losing easily to the guys doing this and would have done so even without getting penalties.

I think the Atenza may be a touch faster here than the M4 actually but it's not enough come race time because of this fuel saving trick.
