I have 12 wins this week Nürburgring GP, tonight 5 races 5 wins ;)

Your DR/SR history is interesting. Do you genuinely quit 30% of races entered?

I was thinking the same thing, that’s a lot of wins, but then I saw this....

It's a tactic commonly used to get the 91 wins trophy.
Lower your DR by leaving so you will be placed in low ranked lobbies > easy wins.

*no file should be attached. Something went wrong here :D

Oh I’m well aware of that tactic, but he’s at 1400 and some odd wins, and still tanking stats. How can it possibly be fun to continuously beat people at way lower rankings? He might as well be playing offline against AI, none of those wins mean diddly squat.

Stupid question(but Im stupid), how do you add this links below your posts, like psn id or kudos stats?
Copy link, paste link. The forum software automatically converts the link to a clickable link.

If you mean in a signature for every post, do the same but in the box after you click this link: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/account/signature

I see more and more people using the flaws of the penalty system as a valid racing assist in race C. Either you‘re lucky and start < 6th and survive Haug-Hook and pull away with the leading group (with greater chances of not getting caught by other drivers brawls) or you get punted and shoved around moving you back into chaos.

I guess the week is over. Nothing more to gain without getting more grey hair and higher blood pressure.

Try Race B, ~I have found this pretty clean so far, running 3 or 4 races a day at B/S rating.

Since nobody in my group of real-life friends does sim racing, I can only share my minor GT accomplishments here :)

It had been months since I had won a race but yesterday I finally won again to give my newly acquired A+ rating a small boost. It was a S/A+/A lobby, Race B. I started 4th with a 1:33.625. The top 3 took each other out before the first chicane, I had to keep the lead for the full 4 laps without making mistakes. Mission accomplished!

I might give race C a try as I was used to Laguna Seca and Mount Panorama's longer races in the past two weeks. Six and a half minutes is too short!

So, apparently it's okay to constantly bump someone when they're slower than you.
Oh well, didn't know that.
I thought that was common knowledge. It's very very usual, especially if a fast driver has had an accident or a penalty and feel robbed of the rightful place, thus blaming everyone ahead for their downfall.

Looking through my stats on the GT Sport website, I see that the track I've raced at the most is LeMans.
278 total, and 103 of those are at the no-chicane version. Where the heck has that been (13 months since last one)?
I definitely want to do more races there. I guess it's my favorite. 👍

If you guys haven't looked at your Sporting History on the GT website, it's an interesting read.
I didn't realize how many tracks are in the game that I've done 1 or 0 races at.

Uhhh....it's kind depressing for some of us, haha.

Remember DT Seaside a few weeks ago?

My average start position? 1.79. My average finish (between punts and boofing the chicane?)? 9.03. :banghead:

Sadly, that's the case 90% of the time.
No more racing for me today. I nearly got spun by two people ( got pushed wide many times, blocked and so on, second one even called me dirty after the race), second was sent to the Shadow Realm, I lost SR and got a yummy 8s penalty, but I don't care.
Pace was horrible today as well, started on pole every race and didn't win one, DR still went up and sitting at 25k.

Actually -- it's quite telling, and I bet the trend starts to reverse a bit. I'm a net PLUS position change on nearly all of the tracks. I'm getting more consistent, and the tracks that are more recent, I'm losing less positions during the race. I also typically gain positions during FIA.

There's a big difference in the "Average Ranking Variation" between my two accounts.
It's way better on my alt account because I start a ton of races from the back.
It's probably a huge number for Sven.

My top 3 raced at - Suzuka East, Tsukuba and Fuji.

Then DT Seaside. Probably my favorite.

Race A. I enjoy the Clio at Goodwood. Qually down to 1:28.790. A little bit slower than last time.
Top 500 EMEA. I thought I'd race with that.

All B/S grid - I was 7th! Pole was 1:28.0xx. I thought damage limitation and stay on track.

Managed to stay out of trouble on first lap to end up 4th. Up to 3rd on next lap. Thought I had a podium sorted, but on lap 4 I did a slower lap and the driver in 4th did a fast one (was the fastest lap of the race). He kept gaining on lap 5 and gave me a tap into the right hander before going back up the hill - far from a clean pass. I held it and managed to stay in slimstream distance, but too risky to throw away 4th with a pass at the top of the hill.

So 4th and blue SR for me. I'd have taken that in a shot when I saw the grid.

Despite my love of NGP I am bailing on race 3 as the tyre wear sucks all the joy out of it for me. I have enough inherent controller understeer, i don't need more from tyres that are toast after 1.5 laps.

Switched to Yamigawa, I am still being owned by SRS and DRA lobbies but my race speed is better than my qualy speed and I can at least race. Likely my last night at DRA as i will fall below 30K tonight.

The Supra feels great around Yamigawa, turns in well, lots of power etc. But I run the Merc and boom, I am faster. Reason is kerbs, the TC doesn't kick in so aggressively so on curbs I can get on the gas hard and not be held back.

Even with the controller, I'm surprised you're having so much trouble with tire wear at NGP. I didn't change them in either race last night, and I don't think they were even 25% worn. Now fuel? Yup. Needed that after a 5 laps, haha.
