16TH to 9th in 40 seconds. Ha ha.

It's still like that. The race I did just now I started 15th (more non qualifiers behind me) and ended up in 7th after the straight (those 40 seconds). Then made it to 5th start of lap 2, to 4th after the first chicane while not quite successful in avoiding 2 fighting cars in front of me, which netted me a 1 sec collateral damage penalty, while the car behind me shoved his way through. Then I got barge passed by 2 Brazilians to 6th, punted in the chicane to 7th. Lap 3 I serve the 1 sec penalty and fall to 9th after which I slowly work my way back up to finish 4th.

The first 2 laps are chaos, then the race starts. I didn't bother with 'teaching moment' punts this time, too many names to remember  I only gained 1 SR that race despite 'only' getting the one 1 sec penalty for failure to avoid two cars crashing each other. With BMB and Spa maybe SR ratings start to diversify again, although it's still giving them to the wrong cars while leaving punts unpunished. I already met a 'gamer' in my one BMB attempt. Car hits me from the side while I'm staying in my lane driving straight on the straight. He slows down, thus penalty system thinks I hurt him, I get 4 sec penalty, and calls me a noob after the race. I guess that's the new bump and wall tap.

Just sat down for a Spa race having had a hectic day.

I don't have the right car. And I don't have enough credits. Son of a bitch. I need to grind Blue Moon to get the funds. This is high stakes now.

The race that finally put me over the DR:B threshold!

I don't know what it is about this track. It's not my favorite to race but it always seems to give me the best results!

BMB was awesome tonight!! I qualified for the last race on the 2nd stream and it was a wicked race! A 4 way battle for the lead the entire race, nice and clean, proper bump drafting, and everyone finished within 2 tenths. I may just skip FIA this week and do BMB all week. :)

I'm feeling the same about Spa. Might give Tsukuba a pass.

@GOTMAXPOWER I just turned on TheKie's stream and you were in that last race! Wha happun?
I had about 5 races in a row where I got nothing penalties or walled by people drifting high on the exit of T1.

Here are a couple from later this evening, this one I had been given a 2s penalty for somebody sending it up the inside at T3 and pushing me wide, the video starts with me driving angry just after that had been served:

The second is more fun, the 3 of us leading this one had been working really well together for the last 2 races to gap the field then fighting it out on the final lap for the win:

Yeah, I'm just not feeling it for race B this week. Found it incredibly boring. Seem to finish where I start, all the cars are BoP'd to be identical, so can't make up ground.

Meh. Race C is it this week.

Lesson learned: block the apron in Turn 2 if you intend to defend the inside. Lost a sure win by picking up a stupid penalty after someone shoved it up the inside on the apron of Turn 2 on the last lap...

Speaking of which, what's the point of even having clean sectors if 1 bad sector costs you 5 SR even if you have 7 completely clean laps?

my bad lol. i just couldn't stop.

Please...please...for the love of Pete... Will players stop weaving on straights, in corners, in braking zones, everywhere?!!!!

Had a chance to scrap with the top three by lap 2! I'm in 5th and a 4th plac playe is weaving all over the place. Coasting in the braking zone. Moving at the last minute. HOLD. YOUR. LINE!!!.

When I am fast enough. I will pass you. Just stay.. there!
Every lap I passed a car, FL. I slow up, the car ahead slows even more. Parking cars in the final chicane. Parking it before Blanchimont. Really? The weaving is insane. You can hear it in my typing. Jimini Cricket!

3 victories tonight: 2 at BMB (3 pole) and 1 at Autopolis. Should've had at least 2 more at BMB but clowns will be clowns. Got sweet revenge at Autopolis when P1 went wide at T1 on final lap and as I'm carrying more speed and try to pass him halfway down to T2, joker blocks me on the right AND on the left. So naturally, I bumped him around final turn for the win (no penalty no less).

For Daily Race A, BB 4 to the rear works great. For C, I've been enjoying 5 to the rear with ABS off... still trying to figure it out but that's been best I've discovered so far. Curious what people are doing for Spa.

Spa, BB 2, ABS default.

SPA oh SPA! Such a beauty you are. I did my first ever Super Formula race on GT sport yesterday, and boy it was fun. Took a few laps for me to get used to the braking and turn-in's, but it is paying off.

Did 2 races at Spa last evening. The first one was to test the waters and see where I stand. The second race paid off very well.

And I get to create an Alpha Tauri livery (still WIP)! YAY!!

Tried to go for some races at Spa tonight and had a good one, a rough one and a :banghead::dunce::banghead:🤬 show. Trying to get video loaded at the moment. Both first 2 were slightly rough. Some barging and pushing, but nothing completely psycho except for the best lag punt. Heading into la source I get blasted, but I am still managing to loop it around to the track. Person who hit me is still taking the wide turn full blast. Even gets my p11 at that point. Still beat them for a good finish. So 2 hard but ok races.

Last race was 🤬. I get a good start through the chaos and have managed to get to p6 on lap 4, but a pack of recovered and grumpy A drivers are behind me. Get to the bus stop and one I had trouble with all night takes us 3 wide. The 2 behind go 2 wide, I get bumped, try to keep it going and get spun into facing that wall separating pit lane from track. Have to reverse out and drop to p15. Next lap someone who punted me twice earlier after I took exception to being run off track and got them a penalty launches me at the bus stop, I get stuck at the wall, and just as I get on track going the right way I get reset:banghead:. In the middle of the chicane. And get punted by the last place car as I unghost when they come through:indiff:. Where I reset to waaaaay DFL. :guilty:

At least i get a video out of it. Once they clear I will add them back in. Might need to cool off with some BMB.

I got to say that I thought Spa was perfect for GT racing in GTS, but now that I have had a taste of Super Formula I am a changed man. Super Formula is probably the most exciting car for me in the game, the adrenaline rush is very real.

I have to agree. GT games aren't exactly known for open wheelers but the feeling of the SuperFormula has made it one of my favourite cars to drive.
