BMB is fun lol. why did they wait a year? Spa is messy but i got ahead of the grease in my last 2.

I got to say that I thought Spa was perfect for GT racing in GTS, but now that I have had a taste of Super Formula I am a changed man. Super Formula is probably the most exciting car for me in the game, the adrenaline rush is very real.

I have to agree. GT games aren't exactly known for open wheelers but the feeling of the SuperFormula has made it one of my favourite cars to drive.

Man, you guys are gonna make me leave BMB tonight aren’t you? You’re making Spa sound really fun.

I really want to have a few cracks at Race C this week. But first time was a mess. Not only was I rated way above everyone else in the lobby, T1 I got punted and gifted 6 seconds for the trouble.

I’m finding it hard to improve DR in daily races at the moment. The risk reward payout doesn’t seem worthwhile. So I end up sticking with FIA races as I know if I get a decent result my DR goes up.

FIA is definitely better for building DR, the matchmaking is waaay better due to more people taking part.

Looked forward all weekend to the return of Blue Moon Bay on the dailies, about 10 races later - DR reset. Not one clean race, trying to be fair and give space except to be either taken out or taken out AND given a penalty for the pleasure. DR down from high 30k to 15, SR pummelled.

But I’m still going to race on it because it’s Blue Moon Bay!

Sometimes get locked into the stats and trying to pull my way up, then when all goes to ****e and you have nothing to lose you remember that it’s a game after all and actually good fun having a mental race

Blue Moon could be great if people learned how to race and the penalties weren't so ****ed up. It's odd how many people don't get the need to work together and race together to gain positions.

I've just been in a Lancer one-make special. First four laps all quite close and sensible. You can watch the interval to the leader drop from 6 secs on Lap 1 to under 3 seconds on Lap 4. All 16 cars in 3 seconds......you know what happens next.

After the last race, 2nd and 3rd kept parking their cars in the last few laps, decided to qualify. Set an initial 57.717. Was on for a 56.5 and the next race loaded.

Epic battle from Lap2. We both changed the lead each lap to the last lap. Respect for side by side, clean, fast driving, late braking, smart OT use. Everything.

that wobbling in SPA is really a difficult think, feels other drivers want to get draft bumped. But I think it's related to driving that super fast car with a PS4 controller. Hope they can get used with time and keep a straight line.

I'm at BMB today in the Ferrari. It's probably not the best place to start last but with a bit of draft bumping I still made it up to 5th thanks to other people's wall penalties. A CRB is worth a whole 4 SR lol. Perhaps draft bumping still takes some away, 8 laps x 3 sectors x 0.4 should be 9 SR at least. Hidden SR loss, wouldn't be the first time. 8 laps is so little though for this track.

my bad lol. i just couldn't stop.

No worries, it happens. My radar to spot the actual troublemakers is pretty fine tuned by now  But always good to make the connection, I usually have it out for people with names that start and end with an x ;) Anyway in slipstream start braking at the distance marker, alone you can wait until nearly the end of the shadow. Fastest is to catch the inside kerb with the right wheel, going deep doesn't help there unless you're on the outside.

Second BMB race, +4 SR again, no CRB this time, dunno why. I guess I'll qualify once I get dialed in, the back is already slowing me down. Good memories on that track, dreaming of the time it was a C race with pit stop strategy. Draft bump fuel save racing all in one and plenty laps to come up from the back.

It builds and builds, then boom.

Thanks to Blue Moon Bay I have returned to DR A for the first time since switching to a wheel:

An absolutely insane race to get there too. My first race today with A and A+ drivers in it. I'm in a group near the front and get a 2 second penalty after getting squeezed, go down to 14th on lap 5. I'm still in slipstream range of one guy who's in range of the pack so I keep making up time on the leaders even though I'm not making up any places. They were 6-wide going into the first corner at one point. Ended up 4th.

It's still like that. The race I did just now I started 15th (more non qualifiers behind me) and ended up in 7th after the straight (those 40 seconds). Then made it to 5th start of lap 2, to 4th after the first chicane while not quite successful in avoiding 2 fighting cars in front of me, which netted me a 1 sec collateral damage penalty, while the car behind me shoved his way through. Then I got barge passed by 2 Brazilians to 6th, punted in the chicane to 7th. Lap 3 I serve the 1 sec penalty and fall to 9th after which I slowly work my way back up to finish 4th.

The first 2 laps are chaos, then the race starts. I didn't bother with 'teaching moment' punts this time, too many names to remember  I only gained 1 SR that race despite 'only' getting the one 1 sec penalty for failure to avoid two cars crashing each other. With BMB and Spa maybe SR ratings start to diversify again, although it's still giving them to the wrong cars while leaving punts unpunished. I already met a 'gamer' in my one BMB attempt. Car hits me from the side while I'm staying in my lane driving straight on the straight. He slows down, thus penalty system thinks I hurt him, I get 4 sec penalty, and calls me a noob after the race. I guess that's the new bump and wall tap.
started 17th in the 5:30 spa race last night. By the end of the 1st staight I was 8th. moved up to 4th during the next 8 laps . was set too take 4th when 2nd and 3rd took each other out off in the final chicane and got 2nd 17th to 2nd,starting in the rear is a plus at spa.......

BMB was awesome tonight!! I qualified for the last race on the 2nd stream and it was a wicked race! A 4 way battle for the lead the entire race, nice and clean, proper bump drafting, and everyone finished within 2 tenths. I may just skip FIA this week and do BMB all week. :)

You need to take screenshots like that yourself. Hold down the Share button on the controller/wheel until a little camera icon pops up on the top left of the screen.

Races B & C were great fun last night- I'm excited to go back. It may make sense for me to pit once at Spa and get freshies. The stop seems pretty quick, and I bet I lose more in the last few laps not being comfortable at lower speeds. Well, maybe not- it's really only at Bruxelles that I have a slow time. Perhaps I should suck it up and learn to corner in a not-really-very-old first set. Damn, it's fun though. All that downforce and the track feels, dare I say, easy?

I had a decent night as TPC_Megatrone DR D starting from the back.

BMB with the Ferrari, the car felt good as I never raced it before. I when from like P15 to P7.

First race at Spa, the start was hilarious. I when up to P6 by the end of Sector 1. 29:10

While in sector 2 I was tapped by a driver on the inside and it gave me a 2 second penalty didn’t say what for. 30:10

By the end of lap one in a crowd, a genius decided to divebomb the chicane, I hit him out and he hit a car in front. The car in front got 2 seconds and I got an additional 3 seconds (5 seconds). 31:10

lap 3 coming down the long straight, I was approaching a car so I moved to his inside. I hit brake early but acted like I was gonna divebomb. He never competed the turn so a nice overtake by me lol 34:00. I finished in 3rd.

Second race was bad. 108:30 - 109:15 Some fool tried to knocked me out but failed and hit the barrier (I cussed at him and threw an insult. It was in the moment). A bit later he tried to take me out but he turned ghost before and failed hard lol.

1:15:25-1:15:50. I was divebombed, got a penalty. I tried revenge but forgot I was a D and ghosted lol.

Third race. 128:20. The first five laps was fun. I ended up in 2nd then I made errors. I finished 4th.

Megatrone is DR C now

Edit: Aren’t there penalties for false starts? I seen false starts in all 3 races that I did and they didn’t get tagged

Had another 3 races at Spa this morning......Had some time for a qualy lap, got down to a 1:55.3.

1st race, started 2nd, and finished 2nd after some close battles from behind, happy with that! :)

2nd race, started 5th on the grid, bogged down at the start, so down to 10th! :( Fought back up to 5th by the end though, some close battles again! :D

Then race 3, and what a disaster!! Made an ok start, but chaos into La Source, got spun around on the exit, and down to last.....Then more battles as you can see in the video, and some cleaner than others!! I can't believe how some of these people get to A/A+ DR!! :dunce:

Still looking forward to the next race though, onwards and upwards! :D
