It's server maintenance only - and there were a LOT of disconnects (from the fixed servers used) in yesterday's FIA races.


There could... conceivably... be a change to the penalty system engine without a full update.

I hope this penalty system will be improved in the next maintenance.
The current penalty system works to favor some "too aggressive" players.

I know the penalty system is a mess but daily drivers are worst . What i saw while racing this week is a shame and it cant be blamed on the penalty the racers need to understand that racing is a non contact sport and its exactly the way i race avoiding contact at all cost i will even it dirt instead of someone ,

The drivers are what PD taught them to be. The AI and the penalty system creates just what we got now.
I agree with you but there is nothing in the game to promote that apart from a 3 minute film snippet.

Sport mode may seem a bit fractured, but there's still good racing to be had from the lobbies and leagues .

I prefer the dailies. Even though I have tons of fun with friends in the lobby.

But this current stupid penalty system was a "fix" for the last non-existent penalty system, which was a "fix" for the penalty system that was even dumber than the one we have now, which was a "fix" for the one before it that was actually somewhat competent. At this point I expect the next penalty system "fix" to hand out 5s penalties to any cars that are racing side-by-side for too long.

The penalty system doesn't help but I also believe the players are mostly the problem. I avoid any kind of contact at all costs, even if that means getting out of the way of someone who is dive bombing and will inevitably crash me. Tons of people just turn in anyway and complain when they get hit, don't know what else they expect to happen...

The penalties changed when the new races started without any server maintenance. They can apparently change it any time they want as part of the daily race settings.

It's sneaky, last week inside was the safe place to be, this week it's not. Last week bump drafting was fine, this week good risk of a penalty for even touching a car from behind. (But punts are still ok 👍)

I haven't had any problems this week with SR, fewest BS penalties ever this week. Oh wait I haven't been playing

At least I'll get to run the Supra in Race C. Will be interesting how it does versus the 86. I used the 86 there last time and it was mega towards the end of the race.

If I race B it will be Supra learning. I actually enjoyed it last time out.

Ahh, suzuka. Again. A track I just can't get fast on, and in Gr. 3 as well. Looks like a race C week for me. After I spend tonight repairing the SR on my alt by poking along from the back in race C. Just got to remember not to pass unless they are off track even though that got me caught between a slow car in front and a fast car behind. Will have to remember to pull off track this time.

Incidental off (car bumps and side scrapes). But incidental to off track limits even a hair is 7s. Haven't seen any punting in the replay of the race B I just did.

Personally I'm happy to not get phantom penalties but curious to see how people exploit the system.

Guess I'll stick to the FIA races. Mainly players I'd see each time. I know how most of them race. So, should be much more respectful.
