Gonna try a couple race C’s, this should be good, haven’t raced since last Friday. :lol:

Edit: Not too shabby, 2 clean races. :)

I have to ask, how people married with kids manage to squeeze more gaming time from wife? :lol:
I don't know how. Luckily my wife has gotten into some Netflix series so she plugs in her headphones and tunes in once the kids are down. Special lobbies like @Pigems involve some 'negotiating' and set up. Hence why I can't get there as often. I can usually get on just after 8 but if I have a morning shift the next day it is a short run.
And i make sure she gets a bit extra attention some nights as well so I can have my race time.

Apparently unless we are discussing dogs :lol:

Nice vid @Pigems.

Ive done some Autopolis from the back today also. Good clean fun racing I found. I was using my sons low B rated account. I wasnt sure how i would do, but made it to podium twice.

So how is the week going? I was struggling for pace Monday, as its a new track and car for me to learn. After trying all the cars i decided to knuckle down and get to grips with the GTR was a toss up GTR and Lexus. Did a few 30min quali sessions and got down to 1.37.9 i was made up with that.

Tommorrow we see how i do trying to get into A rated on my Acc .. think ill need a 1.37.5 thou.

See you on track

hmmm something weird happened with my quote for reply, but my post is in reference to the question of game time with wife n kids hehe

Convert wife to a gamer is not an option anymore, I tried and failed. She has her own games and DS4, but makes no difference. She has an extra TV, that enabled me to play more GTS :cheers:

The other 2 points are a must for sure, baby bedtime and help more around the house, doing both of them already.

I'm married but don't have kids. During the day it's easy, my wife always has some project or rearranging or some things she's always working on. As long as I occassionally come out and check on her, move a few heavy things, I'm good. It also helps that's she's a bit of a gamer, as well. It's evenings when she wants to hang out, have dinner, watch a movie, stuff like that.

Yeah, baby out of the equation has its pro and cons. Because baby around and during bed time, she wants to relax too. Time for me to play. I can only play during night time, can’t play during the day because of work and she wants to hang out during evening which is completely fair.

Thats hard but managable, like recharging hybrid in gr1, little braking and careful on throttle:D

:lol::lol: Points for the analogy.

Ok, seems I’m doing ok with my current strategy. I’ll keep focusing on improving my racecraft and reduce how long I spend doing QT instead to have more time racing.

Taking notes @Pigems and @RacingGrandpa :lol::lol:

Thanks for your answers :)

Okay guys, time for another car selection based on track!

Any Gr.3 car. BOP On. Mount Panaroma. 90 minute race. Tires and Fuel on X3. RS and RSS Tires only. What do you pick?

Don't know that you will need a super fast qualifying time to get up to A there. I have been starting mainly mid pack or lower the couple days I have raced. Just kept moving up and avoiding the chaos without wrecking myself and the points have been appearing. That said I had a run in with a right 🤬 this morning for my 1 race that bumped me to A. He missed the start, so bumped or shoved 4 of us off that got near or ahead of him lap 1 because of his mistake. I accidentally ran him wide onto the curbs on the exit of the Hillcrest hairpin after he bumped me wide a second time as I got near him. Favor returned near the end as well when he caught me and pushed me totally wide but not spun out with a dive from 0.5 back going into turn 1 near the end.

Had he not been such a 🤬 at the start I wouldnt have taken the move on him and could have probably had a CRB. Oh well. There goes the streak of 4 CRB I had going.

I haven't got all that much time this week. My daughter graduates as "undersköterska" Friday, her last day in School, then work life awaits. So lots of stuff to do in spare time this week. (Undersköterska is a Swedish term, meaning beneath nurse, the ones you have most contact with if you are hospitalised, the ones who run blood samples, do the tests, takes care of you.)
But I did get one race C in yesterday. Lexus 16, p13 on grid, made it to p6 twice, first time I was going defensive, slowing on apex and keeping the door closed.
Then got run off. I thought he did it but he said I turned in on him. Haven't checked replay yet so giving benefit of doubt. Finished p6 so all good. Raise in SR and DR.

Well my first race c didnt go well Started 11th ( QT 1.37. 9 28KDR door num 12) finished 13th. Lost 800DR in lobby of A / A+ and a SS. drivers

I swear these SR S ratings are just participation trophies at this point. A whole lobby of them and yet 6 laps into race C I actually got so annoyed with it that I quit the race as I'd been shunted off so many times. Literally turn 1 I'm pushed blatantly off into the gravel and any time I make some progress I'll have my brakes used by someone else. I think the penalties aren't strong enough, costs me 10 seconds to get back on the track and up to speed but they get a 1.5 second penalty.

When in rooms with unknown drivers you have to learn to race a little differently, be more cautious about where you place you car going into corners. It’s better to take a slower line or let someone by then it is to risk putting your car in a prone position through a corner. It takes some time, but it can be done. :)

Yes, SR S is too easy to get too, max rating should be a lot higher, been said since the game came out. Sr should be deducted in every contact too, for all parties involved. There would no chance the persistent offenders would be S then and they can race their bumper cars against like minded racers, which is how the system is supposed to work anyway, otherwise it serves no purpose.

The penalties in every aspect are just rubbish at the moment too, too inconsistent, too lenient and yet completely harsh at times also because you can get them for nothing. As much as it was exploitable (and got the wrong car sometimes, especially in multi-car incidents), the whole penalty if a car goes off track system, that used to exist, was better as at least it stopped the ones who just push everyone off to gain positions.

:gtpflag:

The game is not really new, they are working on the next version, they have given us, free of charge, tons of updates along the way and yet people complain about lack of updates.
In my world that is disrespectful. How much did you pay for the game?

I know I got a lot for my money. If I calculate by the hour it's amazingly cheap!
I bought the game the day it came out. I don't remember the price but I got a discount for pre-order.
to see well I never complained about anything. the fact that I say the game is poor, I refer only to the weekly events (FIA not include), with little diversity, and above all never to include rally tracks, and 'They' have 3x2=6
A while ago I complained about the lack of the circuit maker that by chance, 'they' also have one.

Hurray - just won my first ever C-race (in a B&C/S mix) Started 3rd, changed up too early and ended up 4th, until 3rd place took out P2 at the first corner. P1 pitted on lap 5 and came out 8th. I then had a 1-2 second lead until P1 man caught me on the last lap but lost it at the hairpin at the top of the hill. I had cramp in my left hand after lap 7 due gripping the controller so tightly, lol.

Full of joy, I tried a B-race - started last in my Viper, behind a Vantage and 14 RCZ's. One guy dropped out, and I managed a clean pass after one RCZ got dirty with another.

Many more to come :)

Best way to do it at this point imo. I got the classic punt in turn 1 at Maggiore, went off track, got 2 seconds penalty and and lost 4 SR. The other guy finished 7th and blue SR.

I'm always super careful and this stuff rarely happens to me, also I don't care anymore, but if you do care I can definitely see how this stuff is frustrating.

AFAIK SR is deducted on every contact. There is the punt: -sr on both of you. Then you run off track: -SR for you. If you also run into a wall then -sr for that too.

Warning all mid-B, 99SR EMEA drivers;

Race B remains a pugfest, but is now a sideswipefest as well. Dangerous in there. Had to claw back to 5th purely from being knocked about, people very unaware out there, and then lap 3 naturally ends up getting dirty as people have cemented their grudges. Not many places to hide on this track without losing a bag of time.

The races always gets messy when you have a lot of people driving a car they aren't used to. There is but one line and they can't sway from it....

Just had a race with TRL_MANURODRY (Hope I spelt that right). On my alt account.

Gosh he's quick. Used to seeing him in the top ten times in the EMEA region. Guess this time he decided not to put in a time and do a last to first.

Quickest in race lap I managed was a 1:40.1. He pulled out a 1:39.0 amazing how quick some of these guys are.
