Some dude named TPC_Megatrone keeps starting at the back and blows by people, in a 86 of all cars smh. One race he started 18th and finished 3rd.
Is that someone from this forum? I see that name every so often and always seems faster than his qualy position.

Doing RBR this week, qualified with a 30.2 and that's about all I have in me. It really is an Aston fest, i can get into the 30's with stang and the Merc but in the end, the aston just powers on by. It used to be my sleeper car and it seems everyone is now onto it. Though I saw one guy in the M3 give us hell somehow.

Cant drive aston martin just dont like cockpit view, and i cant adjust to other views, peougot rcz 1.30.4 maybe i can be 0.2 sec faster but that is it

I've just had 4 players get hit with the tyre penalty in the Race C I just had. I can't complain, that got me onto the podium after a 12M/3H strategy in the Slophy.

EDIT: After qualifying 7th for the 20:30BST race, guess where I end up in the next one? 17th. In fairness, I am trying to mine some SR.

@Trone_Colby is MegaTrone. :)

Good call @sturk0167 on the beemer. It feels really good there...
The Stang feels really solid too, but not as good as beemer.
Well, then here ya go. I wouldn't want you to be out there with a stock livery Beemer. 👍

Yes, you were in the same race as me - I got P2 in my Huracan as a result! I thought the guy in the Porsche was a bit fast - bet he was spitting feathers when he saw his penalty come up.......:gtplanet:

Race C is pretty fun. I started 12th, didn't make a single overtake on cars that weren't in the sand realm, repeatedly got passed, and finished 10th. I managed to do a 1-stop in the TT but that might be because I'm not even remotely pushing my car to the limit.

mm tires x6 is probably just on the high side of a no-stop being possible so hopefully mediums are available?

Nope, usually it would say whether mediums are available and they are not. The difference from the last race are multipliers. Fuel: 3x > 2x, tyres 7x > 6x. It's a straight up no-stop.

The race from March 2019 was more interesting, it required a pit stop and medium tyres were available. Regardless, it's Bathurst so I'll be racing it anyhow.

Here's my fastest lap so far for Race C of 1:15.292 in the Scirocco, which is currently ranked ninth in the region. .

It is more consistent than the TT but I still think the Audi is about half a tenth quicker with an optimal lap.

Yeah, I found the 1 lap pace of the TT is good. Used it set set my qualifier time. Haven't used it in a race yet, opted for the Lancer and the M4 so far.

Been great blasting past the front row off the line in both cars as the Audi and VWs struggle to gain traction.

Pretty bad luck at Race B today. First race, on the very first lap, guy forgot to brake on turn 4 and sent me from P2 to second-last, without even getting a penalty. He did apologize in postgame though.
Second race, the Beetle right in front of me lagged out the rolling start, immediately ruining the race, and as soon as the race started, he spun me out at the very first turn. Clawed my way up from dead last to P11 but didn't even finish thanks to the insurmountable gap caused by the rolling start gaffe. This is part of why qualifying is so important, lol, because people don't always have good internet.

I managed one from my only attempt (snuck in a 2-stop in front of @Redneckchef) but it really doesn't hold a candle to the TT or the Scirocco

Nothing worse than that sinking feeling that you could've won if you picked a better car
And let my race with this guy be a lesson in staying focused to the end. Start of 2 to go, I am cruising p3 behind @ShiftingGears, maybe 3 to 4 seconds back, massive lead on p4 amd so I check out. Not a good idea on Willow as I end up drifting off track a couple of times real fast, dropping to about 8 back or so. Only ti see him pit!:banghead:
Could have been a nice fight for p2, but oh well. It was good racing with people I know anyway.👍

Ha ha. I get it. I much prefer sprint races at Big Willow. Balls to the wall for 6 or 7 minutes. 👍
In a 15 lap race, I'll usually lose focus at some point. Particularly, late in the race, with no cars near me. It may be a lack of stimulation, when there's nobody to race. :indiff:

Why else do you think I took the joker lap twice in my race last night?

That type of racing looks familiar.

It was pretty clean tonight really...I was the problem car more than anything, felt bad lap one turn three (left uphill turn). I was inside behind a Veyron with a trophy to my right side by side. I was planning on making a move on the Veyron but he didn’t catch traction well, and bogged down right in front of me... instead of slamming brakes I went for the gap and shoved off the hapless trophy...
Felt bad but then a strange thing happened, a split second later I was shoved off track at the top of the hill I was like oh well karma...
I looked at the replay now, I messed up forced the trophy off but there’s a jump I forced him to take, he caught air and landed perfectly t boning me off rofl.
I still feel bad but not as much...
I did make a podium too on a no stopper iwith your livery...
Good times, did a time-out race then back to full strength at S...
It’s not a track I’m really good at but awesome fun to race it. The s rooms people were really making space for one another, good to see!

Only one race so far this week...at RBR. A 1:30.0 got me 8th on the grid. Was running well in 5th when I got nudged and went wide. Ended with a 9th. Tried a bunch of cars at willow. The beemer really does work well, and you can take a lot of curb, or dirt, and it stays stable. I ran some laps in the 4c, and I would love to see what the aliens could do in that car there. The corner speed is insane. I hit T2 and never dropped below 111 mph. I think if I could actually do a clean lap, it would match anything I drove. It's got no power, but with the corner speed I was getting similar top speeds at the end of the straight as I was with most of the "power" cars
(147mph). Any of you fast guys decide to run some laps, let us know how it went. I may try it from the back. I bet I could get by almost anything on the inside of the last corner.

Managed to get the aston down to a 30 flat. Picked up 2 wins with pretty Fiesty fights for the lead but kept my head and took really annoying lines that made me hard to pass, but i stuck to one line!

At rbr, anyone changing lines under braking causes havoc. The key corners carry huge momentum so you have to carry speed, if you take the inside to defend i will take the outside to carry speed, don't be changing lines last second cos I can't bail at that point.

Been against a lot of 4c in the races I have been in. That thing is flat scary coming behind you in the turns as it is superfast in the uphill downhill middle section. It just seems to have the most microscopic error margin. Haven't seen anyone finish a race in it without a trip to the beach. Might have to fool around in the beemer and Scooby tomorrow. Will be crashing my way out of FIA tonight.

I had a good first race at Willow along with @PirovacBoy in his Ferrari (I was the other no-qualifier in a TT Cup, a pleasure racing with you). It played out similar to a last car standing race, cars were dropping one after the other, engulfed by the desert and never to be seen again. I went 7M/8H, considered a 2-stop but I wasn't fast enough to make the most of tyres. Finished 8th.

For an A+/A lobby, it was very clean. Maybe the penalty system has finally weeded out some of the 'rubbing is racing' crew and bump passers.

I also wanted to pay my respects to this poor 4C on the final lap.

Thanks Mate, actually it was my first Race since a long time ago, i was just doing a little sr repair. I didnt took the Race itself Too serious though judging by my poor finishing result. At least my Plan worked out 5sr up 2000dr lost...:D;)

I prefer the challenge of not using the 'better car'. Given that I'm usually starting P10+, a podium is a good result for me.

It seems to really upset people when they feel they have a right to be in front of you, just because they have chosen the fastest car - what they forget sometimes is that the fastest car over one lap is not always the fastest over a race distance. I'm also usually one stopping, and most others are doing two.

Used the Huracan yesterday and, whilst not quite so quick off the line, it does have better whole lap pace than the WRX. It's also quite difficult to knock off line - had a guy in a TT try three times to ram me off in one race, he picked up a penalty each time. On his fourth attempt on lap 13, I moved quickly out of his way, and he passed me. I stayed close behind and, sure enough he pitted at the end of lap 14 - I sailed serenely past, and finished 1.5 seconds ahead of him. Bet he was the one with the sinking feeling
