I actually ran m4 a few quals today, using med and I don’t care for the feel, plus for me they aren’t much faster...
I like the mini balanced drift effect of the car in a fast sweeper vs the weird sharper turn in but more weight transfer of the harder compound...I find on meds it’s easier to get my car out of balance somehow. I’m pretty smooth too, weird.
Plus I like the way hards feel with some wear...Predictable....

I'm not sure if anyone will agree with this, but I really like driving the Gr.4 cars with hard tires, instead of medium.
It sounds weird, but having less rear grip gives me better rotation. I started a C race on hards, then stopped for mediums. My Vette got understeery on the mediums, because I think the back end was just too planted to give me the power-on rotation, so the front end plowed wide.

I just did all 5 laps on hard tires in the Trophy, and it was really fun. The tire wear was very minimal. Consistent lap times.
It's not likely that anyone would win the race in that car, but I enjoyed it. 👍

In the FR I agree completely. The small slide into turns and the steering with the throttle is much more balanced on hards.
On the MR's I prefer medium or soft.

You can try the Nostalgic 1979 win+clean race = 240.000 credits in 7 minutes at Le Mans (and at the others locations it's a good reward too).

I think that the offline mode is very enjoyable with clean races and some selected combos



I'd say it's 10 to diamong everything.
I've achieved only 3 diamonds and 10 golds.

Hamilton drives with some different lines compared to aliens and compared to IA, it's interesting and a huge challenge to beat him.
The only "easy" track to beat him is Dragon Trail, his lap has some important mistakes there.

Cool thanks for the suggestion! I agree with you though I have found the offline/campaign to be extremely enjoyable. Enjoyable enough that I've actually 100% everything minus a few Endurance races which I prob will at some point haha

Try the Gr.4 Citroen. Not much power, so you won't win. I'm just talking about driving for fun.
It's really fun to drive on hards. The back end gets just a little bit loose, but it's very easy to control. 👍

And if I remember it right that thing is fairly allergic to any type.of curbing. Or at least putting down power on them. Fun car to drive though

Thanks! He got a little blocky there coming up to the line, I should have got past him before the line. But I got my CRB, that’s what I’m mainly after.

Had some cracking race C's this evening. Came up against 2 YouTubers EERIEISSSS & BasicOllie. Managed to hold my own against them which considering they're both A+ drivers I'm really happy with. I've attached the results which i screenshot from EERIEISSSS stream. Been a good day today in general. Managed a 3rd place this morning and in the first race tonight i came 2nd. Managed to gain 5.5k today.

As for strategy I used 3 different ones Firstly 2 Hard, 3 Medium, then the usual 3 medium 2 hard, and finally a no stop on hards. I think the best strategy is starting on hards and seeing how the race pans out because then you can choose to either 1 stop or no stop depending on how that particular race is going.

Some of my best races have had some fender rubbing. But, most people think you're trying to run them off the track if you so much as touch their car.

That's it!! I mean, it's good to race clean but that puts you in a complicated position if you aren't fast enough. I play maybe 1 hour a day, some days I don't play at all and I don't intend to reach pro levels. Maybe if I get a wheel I'll improve a bit or a lot, who knows.

I'll tell you now, a wheel won't make you better enough to magically gain A+ status. Hell, it won't make you dramatically faster. The only thing a wheel could help with is consistency. I've noticed it myself. This week's C race is a perfect example of that. The transitions in the track can be exaggerated on a controller, but can be smooth as silk on the wheel. Keep all of this in mind before spending anywhere between $400-$2,000 on a wheel setup.

I just try to adjust the best that I can. The mediums this week are awesome! I've had to coast less through some sections of the track where others are coasting to save their tires (no stop strategy).

Cannot see the split times but a 37 at seaside? TBH I see a few errors and early braking and late on the power but a 37?????? How? I mean no disrespect but I just cannot see it other than on the stop watch.

I haven't driven DTS this week, but that looks like a nice smooth lap to me. It might be interesting to compare speeds after exit between that lap and something slower.

I haven't qualified, but in the race, my best lap is usually in the low 50s.

I’ve seen guys swerving late every race, learn to race. Stop driving like idiots!

Still trying to learn the new track, so no racing yet(on C). Have been having fun at tsukuba. That car is SO much fun. Been in some fast A/B 99 rooms, usually starting 4-6. Not a lot of passing with the lead group unless someone gets dirty, and I've lost a position more than once trying to get past someone, but the attempt is always a blast with plenty of sideways action and tire smoke. Did pull off a nice outside pass in T1 once, though I suppose (technically) that I didn't really complete it until the hairpin (T3?4?). Last race had an 04.2 on pole, I was 6th with an 04.57 and 8th was 04.9. Ran as high as 4th, finished 5th in that one. Guy that finished 3rd pushed me off exiting T1 on L1, and did the same to the guy in front of me on L4. He's lucky I didn't catch him before the end. Lots of close racing at the front, but if you drop the lead group, (I haven't yet) it looks like you get caught up in dive bomb hell.
I do hope I get the time to learn St Croix. I can tell I'm going to like the track once I learn it. I might even go well there. I may just do some races on my alt to help me learn lines there, but not until I can make a lap without looking at the map.

I haven't raced at Seaside in a while but if I remember correctly it's just the gearing in auto drive. Supra always starts off a little slow, in the GT LM I'm usually right on their bumper starting off if behind one or I have a nice sizable gap if I start in front of one. The same can be said for the Beetle and Porsche if I'm not mistaken little lag getting started in auto drive before the count.

Think that you get a bit of a jump if you have the accelerator floored before the auto drive starts vs. waiting for the green light...

I agree with you - in the C races with hard or medium options I often run my fastest race lap on the hards!

You have to consider all the factors.

Typically you run Medium/Hard in that order, right? And you rarely refuel in group 4.

So on the second stint on hards:

You have less fuel (weight).

You're warmed up to the track so you're hitting your reference points better.

You're likely in less traffic than during the first stint, meaning you focus on speed and not racecraft.

All that stuff matters too during a race. The difference between meds and hards is less in gr4 than gr3 for sure, but it's not like hards are faster in and of themselves.

Plus if you start on the hards you can change to a no stop on the fly. That's what I was doing last night with some good outcomes.

Eh, which way to go depends a lot on the circumstances. Start position, your pace, the opponents pace, your car, their cars, the track, etc.

Sometimes it's better to start softer and finish harder, sometimes the other way around. There's no one size fits all solution here.
