I saw others trying to do that but with no real success. I pitted, lost time but still catch up and pass on fresh tires with ease

I found myself qualified in 3rd at the Tokyo Gr.3 last night behind @Sven Jurgens, who got the win. I stayed in 3rd, which was nice although I was miles behind. I entered again later and found myself in 3rd on the grid again. Thanks to the draft I got the lead by turn one and managed to pull away from a hard charging fellow in second place for my second ever Gr. 3 win, at the thunderdome none the less.

Cool, congratulations. The highest I could achieve was p4 in NSX, behind 3 peugeots :crazy: :dopey: :D I felt the temptation to try it later, but thought to myself I must keep to the real thing, not any virtual ;)

Same for me, I crashed myself off way too often :lol:
I liked the 86 a lot, I was able to outrun most of the 4Cs :D

86 is a good car! I think you were behind me in a pink 86 on the first race? Then you switched to the M4? Seem to lose loads of time in the pits compared to everyone else, I need to practice these longer races more but not keen on the races today seems like I would lose a lot of my DR and SR today!

Yes I did multiple races with the 86 and then switched to the M4 to try if it's still possible to shortshift my way through the race without pitting; it isn't.

It was but it's rubbish, not sure how the guys who had top tens in it did it, they replays didn't fit with what I experienced driving it. I wasted far too long trying to lap right with it, I then went to the Ferrari and was finally running consistently and got just into the 1.06's. It's either that or the Vette in this race out of the few cars I tried.

So I get 4 seconds penalty cause this aftermath effect, I give you video from conrod to turn 2 which is the incident happen to give you clear speed between me and that two. I know how the yellow RCF user driving since I have been meet him 4 or 6 times and today he driving way too crazy. When the crash happen I have been think about if I go right I'll get random penalty or worse make another crash or that Atenza will be ghosted. Incident happen on 0:47 if you wan to skip it


Sorry for 360p I still confuse how to trimming and rendering on Vegas :crazy:

btw, why every infield lap 1 race literally become some pinball? :lol:

Well I went back on and improved to a 1'06.75 or so with the Ferrari and I can see how the fast guys get their times in that, I just can't quite match them. I like the car though, seems to go mostly where I want it to, well at this track at least, I was even not using CSA too when I usually do more often than not with the Gr3 cars. :cool:
 
Monza was great today. Just great. :ouch:
Went from SR S to B and a guy named bigot kept hitting me by the side multiple times at the straight. Thanks bigot.
 
Just normal behaviour at Monza sadly. I'm not that bad there when I'm not accidently cutting the track and I get bashed about constantly, it must be awful there at the lower ranks.
 
I got owned super hard on lap 19 of todays tsukuba FIA race lol



I didn't react cos he was supposed to be a lapped backmarker qq.
 
Only did one blue moon race today and the nations race. I set a low 1:07 (beat @Alpha Cipher and optimum would‘ve beaten @PirovacBoy), qualified 4th for the race, P2 was a Beetle. Guess what happened... Beetle ran wide, cut the driver in front of me off and the two of them basically parking on the racing line in a corner were impossible to avoid; 4 second penalty. Got another second for being tapped and then spun myself out once... Finished the race in P5.
Nations Race was really fun, I got matched with a lot of really fast SS drivers but managed to qualify 4th :dopey: Races were almost entirely clean, only some [insert red-yellow-red-flag country here] driver wasn‘t too keen on leaving room when overtaking me but I guess it was ok-ish. Finished the race 5th :)

Only recovered a lousy 700 DR points tho :dunce:

Monza has been going surprisingly well for me today. I'm still at 99 SR and even gained some DR. I still get hit, however the penalty system is getting a bit better at recognizing when it's not your fault. Still not perfect though, 2 races I ended up with a red S and one a 5 sec penalty from someone running into me at the apex. However I never got a penalty for any bumps from behind, progress.

This happened after a getting hit in T1

I managed to salvage the turn to get this thing stuck on my windshield.

This guy that punted me at T1 tried to block me while scrubbing the penalty

He punted me again, then quit in such a way that he couldn't be reported, just a globe icon and no name.

Anyway next race I got a win from T1

One and two crash into each other, three misses the turn, four takes the win. A/S drivers, top of crop!
They couldn't catch up after that mess.

Nice one, you still managed to recover after all bad luck xD

When I see the flag you mentioned I know 1000% I'm in trouble, I even leave them space, but nope.. Ran against 3 black hurracan-crew last night, one in lead and 2 buddies cleaning up anyone coming close lol
 
Well today's racing was going alright until I tried the Skyline race around Suzuka and lost a lot of points on
my DR due to the penalties around that track and trying to take them in a one make car without loosing too much
positions.

Blue Moon Speedway is a good endurance Race C today though but am avoiding the unmentionable Race B as my
one brief entry the first corner was the usual expected carnage...
 
It seems that there are still a lot of odd penalties occure (and sadly some muppets also).
Today I just have 1 race, Monza, ~an hour ago, and it surprised me. Started 5th (I think) and survived T1-2 with _very_ careful and safe approach, gained 2 positions there, lost 1 later in the lap, then nothing happened. Being too comfortable, I missed the entry of the Ascari, got 3.xxx penalty. As the gap behind me was more than this at the end, I served before finish. At the end - and this was the surprise -, I was awarded with "clean race"...
Thanks for the one started behind me for not bumping and making a clean overtake. (Though I helped a lot unintentionally with my mistakes :))
 
Well the muppets came online. Playing Monza is just playing Russian roulette. It was going well earlier yet now I'm down to SR.B in 3 races. SR 40, 3K DR down as well. Brake checking on the straight, excessive swerving, diving into T1 and hoping to clip someone on the side to get a free reset after...

Upside, now I'm on pole. Or more disaster waiting to happen.

Why is it that SR.B can brake for T1 while SR.S can't or just won't.... Easy win, long way to get back. 6 points for a clean race at SR.B

Wow the Lexus absolutely smokes the Vantage on the straight! He couldn’t pass you after slipstreaming you and you flew past on lap 4. Nice of him to let you pass again, I’d have held that line like my life depended on it

I think he just wanted to secure the inside line for the next corner but didn't expected that good acceleration of the Lexus.
