Tried to have some nice quiet races. First at RBR, forgot to turn ABS back on. Dropped to the back 10/10 from 5th, to not mess anyone's race up. I was catching a couple cars at the back, a kind Beetle slowed after T1, to let me pass. As I was catching a MUstang up ahead, by the end of the lap, I wasn't going to pass to keep my CRB, I slowed before the line to give the Beetle back the position.

N24. No qualy. Just wanted a smooth race. Another gtp member(in a TT) says Hi. At the start, the TT got a run on a 458 ahead. The 458 has hazards on and starts running the TT off the road. I'm trying to keep my distance and the cars behind see this too. SO, noone is trying to pass with this 458 all over the road. When I get behind it at the beginning of the NOrd, it's too slow. goes wobbly, I avoid and wind up off track. 2 seconds for me.

Continuing, I see someone has knopcked that 458 off track. CArs pass and later, the 458 quits. I'm catching a struggling GT-R. That player gores off. I go by and must have been contact as I get 1 second for avoiding.

Now, this next race, the 458 is back in.

Edit: Now, down to A/A. Due to that 458(in 9th) again.

The Vantage is great fun at RBR. The racing has been surprisingly clean so far with a strong mix of cars on the grid.
I’m sure the T1 dive bombers will appear later in the week, but for now the worst I’ve had has been one guy thinking he could run me off the straight between T1 and T2, and then ran several players behind me off over the next couple of turns before attempting to push me off at Lauda. I’m not proud that I simply continued my regular line and put him in the sand at the right hand kink. But I’m not feeling bad either.

Also kudos to the driver who genuinely missed the braking point at T1 and tried as hard as possible to avoid contact with anyone and apologized after the race.

Wow... I hope he missed his brake point but why didn't he steer left then?
That RSR was ahead from the start. After T1 of this last lap, it steered right and went off. Stayed on the gas, but rejoined cautiously behind the Vantage. I have no idea why that player didn't steer left. Might have got caught out with speed difference, in trying to brake three-wide. Or maybe wanted to take us all out for losing P2 earlier?

No one's mentioned it, but I do wish word would get around to turn bright lights off at the start of Race C this week... it's impossible for the lead car to see when a car behind has the brights on and is right behind you...
Well unless you use a view with no mirror.

I had no idea you could even do that... What's the default button?
I've no idea, I have mine on X, but I think it might be L3, you'd have to check.

The worst is when people push down the analogue stick when they are turning (I'm not sure how side to side and down are totally different movements). I was leading an American lobby with p2 flashing like crazy every corner, if he had blue headlights it would've been a police chase.

It also doesn't help anything when they're flashing from 1.5-2 seconds back like that does anything.

When you flash the lights, it actually toggles between brights/regular lights... most people probably don't realize it.

I think it's the Square button on the G29 by default.

The blue high beam light even comes on on the dash of the road cars. Nice little detail. :) There's also a high beam indicator on the HUD.

I have my wheel mapped to use X to toggle.

It's really easy to roll your thumb on top of the stick while turning, I'm not sure if it's the ergonomics design of the DS4 or what but it's probably why most games that involve heavy and fast use of the L stick don't map something important to L3, if anything at all.

I'll probably spin out at T3. I've been busy playing my new game...View attachment 981689

Can't wait to see the carnage you post in one of the Wreckfest threads. :mischievous:

On one of my accounts, I have the flash on one button & the toggle low/high on a different button. Other accounts are like DS4 default settings: one button to do it all.
