Down to 5th but with at least one dirty driver ahead...

Awesome pass!!

COD flat is totally overrated vs a little lift on the entry curb then flat going through.
In race you lift anyways.
Lifting mid COD bad. Lifting to shift a little weight to get turned in good.

I usually am on the throttle entering and through mid COD, lifting a little to line up on the left curbing for exit. Once I started working this into my practice I have very few exit problems.

You were far enough ahead. The other guy had no reasonable expectation to get the spot. Good try on his part but nothing for him to complain about.

When in the outside position and side by side or even a little ahead I concede as the outside spot has more to lose.

The problem is many racers believe you can go through COD side-by-side (I have even seen 3 wide attempted). Single file is the only way I can get through without hitting someone (but that is just me).

ANyone passing into the Chicane before the COD is bad enough, how about just getting a good COD run and pass me into final turn? All you are doing is compromising us both at the most critical pint of the track. Muppet.

Hehehehe.
I ran across the guy who punted me. He started second behind me in the lower sr s room.
Hehe slowed quite a bit at t1. His countrymen attacked him and he came out A SR!!!
I shook down the Stang and moseyed back above 90.

I think this was the one of the only times I’ve ever made it through 2 wide without dying.

2nd Race A of the day 1st lap 2nd place I put my feet on top of the coffee table (my F1 position) and accidentally hit the input button on the TV remote. By the time I got the PS4 back I was in last place with a 1 second penalty. I stayed out of the way for the rest of the race.

I had three races today in the Daily B this morning. I bet they overlapped with you when you were in "timeout" lobby. My nemesis today was quick and started behind me. Rear-end punted me at T4-Larini righthander in the first race. I caught up to him by Lap 3 but he quit right then. I wasn't planning on revenge since most times I don't know who hit me until I can watch a replay. In the second race he made a reasonable pass attempt at T4 and I botched the defense. He also finished badly as he dove on others - full dives with contact. Judging by his "Latest Races" his method sometimes works.

Does he sound familiar?

Have had a go at race A this week, I'm rated B/S and it keeps putting me on pole, finding it hard to maintain because you get slip streamed and then bumped at St Marys/Lavant, which means you're in the pack and just get hit by everyone, I've been down to 10th after the first lap in some races.
The other thing I noticed is watching the replay of the No.1 quaifying time is that out of the last chicane the guy is on the grass right up to the pit entrance, no idea how he makes it work, but he's got a lot more speed across start/finish straight than I can get by exiting the chicane properly. How that isn't a penalty for running that far on the grass and clearly not backing off I've no idea.
That corner really needs a penalty zone or a sand pit.

All I know is the last few lobbies have been STACKED with top people. I started 13 just now at 44.5
Lol the guy ahead of me was the punter. He tried to run me off in the esses, but launched himself off then he tried ramming a no qual famous streamer and HE had to put the guy who hit me in the wall.
The guy who hit me is the dirtiest player I’ve ever seen in good rooms.
I’ve been doing ok. Generally you wanna stay in line at these speeds. Anybody breaking the train creates issues bad.
I’m going in again. Hope the rooms stacked again.
I dunno if I know your guy...I’ve been racin all day.

Really good info and advice reading this week post. You guys are awesome! :gtpflag:

This week combo are really good choice, I race all of the 3 quite a few time.

Race A is the one I was hopping to have the best races but it didn't turn out that way. Too much people in a hurry on lap 1 running quali like line even if there is a 8 cars wall in front of them. Start in the bottom half and finish on the podium or start in top 5 and finish bottom 5. Got bored quickly.

Race B is good, but man do I need to see clear in COD. Cant follow a car too close going there.

Race C is the one I spent most of my time on. Such a good combo. The track is fast and flow really well with the GR.2 cars. At the beginning of the week, I was all over the place with the car but the speed came bit by bit. The downhill esses can flow so fast but it's not easy to get right every time.

The grid is spread with the smallest of margin. Except from 2-3 alien at the front, the grid is less than 1.5 sec spread. This meant I start my race from the bottom of the field but manage to gain place at every race. I also lost my DR.A rank. It was going downhill pretty steady after my peak with the Supra Race C couples of weeks ago.

Yeah I was in a lobby where 44.014 started NINTH
Last night, for my final race(actually, I think it was after mid-night), a player was in a 4C with a 43second lap. A couple of players tagged the pole sitter and added, "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO". Something must have been up.

Mixed A/S, B/S and D/S(from 8th to 16th).

Lol

Dirtiest I’ve ever seen. Others saw as well. Went 99 to B!!!!!!in one race.
Somehow next race he matched. Then pre race his sr went B just before it began.
Then he rammed me again and quit.

@Little_Guppy

Yeah nice job up front there. That was decent until that guy went for the worst dive I’ve ever seen.
Had to put him down, like a lame horse.
I think I did like 11 hours today lol gettin a little fuzzy

Confirmed, we are talking about the same guy from the morning races based on the scoresheet. The matching system has a flaw. Looking at the records he was penalized heavily after the first race I had with him. But, alas, we were matched for a bit of a repeat performance. :banghead:

I walked away for a few hours after that.

@DelboyD ,

Thanks for the race today and the bump draft - now I know what that is. Unfortunately, I did not have the pace to catch the front runners.

Cheers!

I kept trying to bump draft with guys today but most swerved all crazy and went defensive.
I did see @DelboyD gave me a bit of draft help too down the straight.
Thank you for that. Unfortunately you saw the guy listed above take me out.
Lol I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have large part in that players demise.
I consider it my community service :)
Lol @Little_Guppy does this word mean anything to you? It rhymes with a players name...

Nev, kids adult now. Been wifeless a few years. It’s brilliant.

Race B is full of dirty drivers. Chaos. One guy tried to push me deep into the inside line on the approach to T1...I was in a heavier car so he bounced off, missed his braking point and ended up in the wall. I love karma.

I've had many good races in the Golf though (mostly podiums but not a single win! :banghead:). Decent DR gain.

Ding, ding, ding... that's the guy.

I shared a race search tag tpc with some heavy hitters and that guy starting ahead of me midpack. You might find it enjoyable.
In fact, looking at my replays...
I interacted with him quite a lot today. I waged war on all fronts but maybe the biggest was psychological in chat.
I’m quite sure he was incensed with me. I gotta say I trolled him masterfully.

I think I may have been in those same lobbies. A 1:43.715 was starting me 3rd or 4th during that stint.

I watched. That was some good Lap 1 fun.

I watched. That was some good Lap 1 fun.

First one he was in with me this morning...I was just looking at the replay...He pulled junk turn 4, I then sideswiped but he got out on me up the hill.
I pile drove him at the bottom of the hill, but he got out on me again after we both reset.
I caught in the final turn same lap and sent him to go desert exploring...put him last but got me those six seconds from earlier.
I have his last two races, too.
The last one I pit maneuvered him at the bottom of the hill but he survived, only to get run off turn four lap two and reset.
Then he spun himself and just disappeared.
The one before I cost him 7 seconds of pen. He kept ramming me but I was braking full...
Lol
There were two or three others I will have to look.
Maybe I’ll share more...
Today was a little rough in country, but tonight he sleeps with the fishes

I’ll dedicate this track to him

A weekend, finally! Had a free morning and participated in five races B. Had a great fun and some really close racing, even I raced ok for a change.
Got on pole twice, from P6 and P8.

Most drivers were pretty clean, but in the last race I ended up in tail and people there were brutal, my "favourite" move I saw these people do is to go into COD side by side. Wanted to address them all in the post race chat but they all left in an instant.

Had a fun little moment in another race where I passed two drivers who had a little bit of contact between them. Happened on the last lap, too, so finished fifth from P7:

I also wanted to ask a question about one incident that happened in the same race. I didn't hold the inside on the hairpin before the COD, so let some drivers through (my mistake clearly). As we reach the entrance of COD I try to move into the line just to end up touching the guy who was following that line just half a car behind me. From my point of view I didn't really noticed him and I had to get into the train. From his point of view I pushed him. Who had the priority? I was first, but he had the inside line. There are both mine and his POV in the video:

I say he is taking a chance and goes for a gap. Then the gap closes and he lost out. Racing incident.
