Came away with another top ten time ( last time I checked at about 8pm ) and 3 wins today - I'll take that and finish for the day rather than get rammed off the track again and end on a bad note  good racing to those who are still going 👍

Why would I ram you if I'm out accelerating you? squeeze you a bit for sure because it's hard to get through that chicane cleanly off line but I wouldn't ram you, what gain would we get from that? was I lagging at all?

FWIW I can't remember that incident so tar me with the idiot brush if you like...

I was in the TS030, which is rwd and can't compete in acceleration out of low speed corners, against a Veyron, it's a bit of a sitting duck.... Considering you were easily going to get to the chicane first, was a bit miffed you swiped me, because I was turning back in a bit, I got the penalty.

Didn't or not meaning to call you an idiot, just said you got a dose of karma...

Anyway, these things happen, Dragon was a total 🤬 fest yesterday, there were plenty who were alot worse than that, so don't worry about it... 👍

I didn‘t bother racing Maggiore today, spent way too much time in the livery editor to get the Citroën done and started a new E30 livery. The moment I had it finshed my game decided to crash 🤬 Luckily I‘ve learnt from the past and saved it once after applying the basic design, so I only had to place all the decals again; still lost a lot of time...
I then only tried to set a Q-time, struggled a bit but then managed a 55.9 (opt. 55.8 but since it was more of a lucky shot time I didn‘t enter any race.
So sorry to everyone who expected to meet me today but didn‘t :boggled:

was this the case? (me in blue, you in red)

if so and I cut you off I apologise, I probably thought I was past you and trying to get a good line for the chicane

Just finished my only race today, daily C. It was a bad joke. Nothing surprise though, just more muppets than usual. I wonder why I need provoking myself, instead of spend my 10-20 minute free time with something funny. Getting the penalties like there's no tomorrow for others bumping me from behind, ramming from left, from right, is anything but car racing or fun. I even achieved my first ever DSQ at the finish line. (I decided not to take care of penalties not mine, after a while.) Starting from 3rd, penalized to somewhere around 10th... Thank you "just a game" DS4-jockeys, and thank you PD assisting and building the playground for them. Driving simulator, khm. With countersteering assist and with such a rewarding system.
It is here for thousand times already, but as after several updates it's still a crap, this is a +1:
PD, your matchmaking and penalty system s*c*s. It is bad. It is the definition of failure. It is disgusting. It even smells. It works for the sneaky and the aggressor, why you call anything "sportsmanship"?!?
It is good just to upset even the calmest driver, I feel shame that I lost my habit and after several bumps and seconds received, I started the redemption. And luckily I don't know any PD head personally, 'cause I'd go on with that redemption IRL. My time is stolen. Again.

Where can I trade in all of the "new" cars and Tsukuba for a reasonably working online system? I'd happily... But I used to be a nice guy, so I give you all the "daily workout" gift cars back as a gift in case you succeeded in what you are trying. (And selling.)

I hate this, the last two races I've been hit from behind - and then got a penalty for it while they get away with it.
People seriously need to learn to drive cleanly and it's only gonna happen if PD penalise the car that hits from behind.
Goodness me the second one wasn't even a megane driver!

I hit an Argentianian guy in the back and got a 4 second penalty, so the car behind definitely gets penalized. I am racing in the American region and he had about 2 bars and his M4 was all over the place. I gave myself enough distance between us to brake but I think it was the lag. Either way, I felt so bad after that and tried to let him pass me but he just stayed there and eventually finished 14th.

FFS finally get to sit down and do a race after qualifying for the last hour, waited for entry to open, then waited for matchmaking, then waited for warm up...

Disconnected ARGHHHH

Tried an Atenza on Daily C today at Interlagos. Those things do not handle curbs very well....hit a few and had to save it like it was RWD. This is with TCS off, is it always like this?

Well Interlagos is fun, I made sure I was the shining example of sportmanship. I didn’t want any blame to fall on my shoulders for anything. I can safely say I did not cause one incident.

Lap one was messy, but I avoided nearly all of it, a side swipe early on gave me a 2.000 penalty but over 11 laps I can claw back those precious green ticks. I set consistent 1:42.XXX lap times up until about lap 6 (when I SHOULD have pitted) I passed up the opportunity hoping to pass the pitters and hope they smash into each other enough the following lap to come out of pits next lap in front.

I was side by side with another driver when an unghosted car, lay stationary in the centre of the track, waiting for its victim. I went around the left of the car while my current rival when right, the stationary car had turned into my rear quarter and sent me flying!

I recover but find myself dead last. Managed a few overtakes and apart from a guy hitting the brakes on an apex but the game picked that up so no penalty for me. I still end up with a red rating! Wasn’t happy.

My second race was a stark contrast, the racing was clean once I’d broken away from midpack. Every position was a joyful tussle and I’ll certainly be uploading that tomorrow. Started 10th finished 3rd. Would have been second but for 0.077 seconds and he was swerving. Same thing I’d have done so fair enough. Buzzing from that one.

Just took the win at Lagos on my primary account. This puts me one win away from 20! First race of the day too!

Gonna give it one more go then eat dinner. Might try the GrB race, then probably going to grind Lagos on my secondary account. Hard to grind the C races though, they wear you out!

I always run TC at 1, and it handles the kerbs well.

Just did a race C in the Atenza. Started 20th, had to endure a lot of petty bumping and barging for no other reason than it was what the backfield wanted to do. Pitted at the end of lap 6, and finished 5th. Only racer in the whole field without a red dot at the finish.

Had a great time at Race A this evening with that sweet BMW !
Had the track really dialed in (except for last turn) and posted a great lap time.
In the last race I started on pole and managed to stay ahead the whole race.
Possibly very frustrating for the follower as I watched the replay from his view :-) He gained on me in the last turn every time but my breakpoint was much later in the first turn so I pulled away in the first sector every lap.

I was driving -2 brake balance. One key is to take the first turn by braking where the fence is ending on the right after the straight. Then you just stay on the brakes after down shifting to 3rd and steering into the apex on the first turn. Immediately after you pass the apex you get into 2nd gear and give it a push until you gently drive very tight in the second turn. This was my secret sauce. Tell me what you think !
Also: IF YOU HEAR YOUR WHEELS SQUEELING - you are loosing time.

My replay is posted in the game under Hiortintexas.

5 races at Interlagos tonight, 2 awful, one so bad I quit, but 2 absolute beauties.. makes it all worthwhile

Saw a potential member GTP_Padded_Cell in my final race but not seen that name on here before

It's my first time racing in the middle of the day. I don't usually have the opportunity. Interlagos, I tried a bunch of cars and none seemed to feel better than the Viper, so that's what I ran with.

I cut a second off my previous time, but qualified a position lower. Aside from the other 4 DR/Ds, the grid was made up of about equal numbers of As and Bs. I did get banged about a bit, but generaly things were fairly clean. I had a close battle for 11th with a guy in a Porsche for most of the race, swapping positions. I'd gain 2 seconds or more over him, then loose it all with those two tight turns mid track.

The penalty system seems to be fond of double dipping. If you stuff things up, you loose time, and then on top of the maybe 3 seconds you've already lost trying to correct, it hits you with a penalty. Had to pull over to bleed a 6 second penalty and finished 12th. On the plus side, I only dropped a few DR and went from SR 85 to 91. 8 more to go!

Man, I hated Interlagos for the longest time. I'd completed maybe 2 or 3 sports mode races there since the game came out, prior to giving it a go when it was a daily a couple weeks ago. I had a lot of fun and some success, so went for another run on today's GR4 daily. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite tracks in the game. I was able to qualify .5xx behind the top ten using the Megane (heard of it?). Never finished worse than 5th, and that was due to a 5 second penalty.

I was quite alarmed to see a Group B race on Streets of Willow yesterday. Then I thought brilliant, I can actually race one of these things. I started second and ended up third. However, doing the track in reverse was a pain because I'm not that familiar with it and I really struggled with braking points and driving lines. I find the track too cramped for Group B cars, they need to be driven on larger tracks. Or, more preferably, rally tracks.

Didn't have the time last night I wanted bc real world car trouble..

Did 4 race A's.. Got a qt 0:56:06 but had a fl in a race at 0:55:8. Started 2nd in the first two and finished 2nd also. Third race I was bombed for the first time @ SR99 and it cut my clean race streak as I hit the wall. Fourth race I spun out badly and was last :(

Today looks pretty skippable.. I'm not as competitive in the E30 as I would like to be and I just can't get it going on @ Alsace..

I had a bit of a go in time trial. Whilst a lot of fun, yeh, you really need it to be timed stages rather than massed races. The GP tracks would be better if you are going to have more than 1 car sharing tarmac.

Beat my PB on Interlagos (previous was 1:38.950 and last night managed a 1:38.778 or 877 (can't remember and can't get on Jasguer) after an hour of qualifying. Was pretty pleased with that so entered a race... started 17th. Fun-ish race, nothing particualry of note happened... finished 17th, lost 1000 DR. I don't see a way out :/

Edit: definite night off tonight!

Oh man, I missed yesterday (maybe thats a good thing?:p). But today,!? Boring...

I'm sick of the same old races over and over...
Alsace? No thanks! I can smell the divebombers already.
Suzuka? Raced it countless times now and I dont think I'm in the mood for Gr.3 races on there tonight. The track just needs too much concentration. :nervous:

PD could have added so many fun races by now (looking at Gr.2 or Gr.X, heck even a Sambabus race would be more fun than the current selection...), but we're stuck here, with the same old tracks and a crappy penalty system that ruins most of the fun...

I need my coffee now, fast :lol:

They should let us vote for next days tracks.. Or cars.. Or both. And just take the one's that start to repeat too much out for a period of time. Probably been suggested already :D

Best of the day was a 1:38.9 but that was in a race, best Q time was 1:39.4 annoyingly. Interlagos is not my strongest track

Can anyone help me been trying race A but can't get a decent time, my best is still a 1.09.841 which only gets me half way up the grid. What settings are people using am on DS4, been using counter steer only [on weak] and brake balance 2 forward. Need to find a second or 2 somehow?
