Monza is just broken. Started as a B/B today, and generally started around 5th on the grid with a 1.59 qualifier. I am now a D/E due to constant barging and being ran off track. I just had a fellow racer run me off the track on the back straight, sending me onto the grass and armco .....I get a 4 second penalty. I was the victim!! I just spend most of my time around Monza laughing now. It's that farcical.

I am so done with idiots not knowing how to serve penalties. YOU DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAST CORNER AT SUZUKA! You pull to the side so there's space for another driver to get by, not be a blockage where you either run up their arse or go off the track. I decided to avoid the slow car in front and go off the track. I had no choice and I essentially gave up after that. AND THESE ARE GUYS WITH S LEVEL SR'S! I sometimes wonder how these people manage to get such a rank...

Had that during the GR2 race a few days ago, people stopped on the chicane serving penalties stopping others getting past on the final lap, disgraceful

A) One Make (Alpine 1972) -- Kyoto Miyabi (9 laps)
B) Gr.3 -- Blue Moon Infield A (7 laps)
C) One Make (GT-R NISMO '17) -- Tsukuba (19 laps, 4x fuel, 9x tire)

Even better than last night! /s

Think Pd are definitely on something not normal. Definitely on the disco biscuits. Renewed my xbox game pass, giving that a go instead.

For the third time since they‘ve added that track :boggled: Why not Gr.4 or reverse layout? :banghead:

Good thing that I‘m not at home for most of the day :D gotta watch F1 when I get back and then do some lobby racing

I have been playing Monza for most of the day. I have cracked that track, no more SR hits, it has been extremely fruitful.

After 2366 races, for the first time I managed to breach DR.S

Monza was still carnage behind, yet with 1:57.112 qualifying lap I always started in the top 5 and managed to survive T1 every time. The other trick to learn is the exact point to start braking for the finish to get rid of the inevitable penalty. It's funny to see the top 4 all crawl over the finish. Penalty management for the win.

Now let's see how long I can hang onto DR.S on the Infield and Tsukaba tomorrow.

I do like the track although my only sport mode race I did on it (I think it was nation's cup, B/S driver) was rather peculiar. I was somewhere in the middle and after the start I was squeezed and punted and contacted from all sides, I felt a bit like being in the middle of one of those *insert NSFW word* videos. At the same time, penalties were raining on me and there was now way to figure which contact the game deemed to by fault and which not.
After I served the penalties, the rest of the race was actually quite good and thanks to cars going wide on the grass in the numbers, I finished somewhere near my starting position.

Then at the same time, I wonder why a sportscar heavy game focuses on a fantasy oval with a fantasy infield while Daytona is nowhere to be seen...

Believe it or not, it seems to have sport mode divebombers as well! :boggled:

Oh, Max!

I know man, how the hell do you get it to turn? Think i have tried every brake balance setting already.
Currently got brakes on +2.

I don't mess with brake balance, but essentially, I've got a 1:00.9 by braking towards the corner, as opposed to the exit of the track. Don't take a conventional racing line, just brake early and aim towards the apex as much as possible. Treat every hairpin as a double apex turn really with hitting a very early apex, and then a late apex for a good exit.

Into the Europe Top 10 for the GT-R race. Not fully sure how.

Brake Balance was +2, and I gained a smidge of time (maybe 0.05) by running wide at the final turn. Other than that, it was mostly treating turns as double apexs, and perfecting the right hander in the middle sector.

Cool i had a nightmare in the race not the best quali time so was 8th and the standing start caught me out, got bumped off in the early laps and feel back through the field only 4 of the finishers didn't have red S/R.

I did 1 stop but i could have finished without stopping, thought i would try and grab the fastest lap so just pitted for tires with 3 laps left. Worth a go as i wasn't going to get a decent place. Crashed off pushing hard on the last lap and came dead last.
Did a no stop for the second race, finished 6th but the tires where shot with about 3 or 4 laps to go was running 3rd at that point but my pace dropped a fair bit, would defiantly try a no stop in the lower ranks but i reckon there is probably no point otherwise 1 stop is quicker.
Going to do some more quali now need a bit better time got my S/R back to S after the first race where i was down to A, the race was a lot cleaner though which helps a lot.

First race was quite the disaster. Started in 2nd, got 8s penalties on first lap due to another driver trying to force me off the track before the right hander. Later on, took the lead and was there for ages. Then about 5 laps to go, got punted round, then at the exit, I had huge oversteer which put me into that same driver, racked up 12s penalties there. Slow down, down to about 5th. Make a mistake, come back on track dangerously (my fault) and was hit right at the moment I unghosted. Get another 10s penalties due to the same driver from Lap 1 brakechecking me. Finished 8th I think? Down to A SR but I don't mind that.

I really hope the driver with 5 laps to go watches the replay and sees I got oversteer and not purposely sideswiped him after he hit me.

Tried out race C today, should've had a podium but didn't realise you had to take the pit entry at that first entry point as this was my first time doing a pitstop around this track. But pace seemed ok given that I was up against drivers with a higher DR.

The state of that lap one though

I raced with you multiple times on the day at monza. I've been able to reach S for the first time to. Turn 1 killed a lot of my races... Almsot felt like some of the guys at the back were not braking at all.

Why brake when they have a 4 wheeled brake in front of them? :p

Had to work my way through the field due to being pushed wide at Turn 1, ended up preparing quite a nice clean overtake at Tsukuba in these GT-R's. Took a few laps of hounding but pleased with how it ended
