It's so finicky. Bump drafting works in A/S yet you have to slow way down to practically be pushing, not really bumping anymore. Just one bump was too hard and instant 5 sec penalty for me, 1 sec for the car in front and red rating after the race... (I also had to hit the wall once for 1.5 sec to evade a car) Practice makes perfect I guess.

Initiial bump started, when I was boxed in(I started 13th finished 11th). Car behind me got a perfect run on me. Car ahead was coming up pretty quick. I just eased off and tapped. Car ahead went a fair ways. So, next i caught up and it was a clear bump. No penalty. Just kept doing it until pit stop on Lap 12. Short fueled and car I was drafting, came out ahead. Race over and not one penalty from me, but I saw plenty red dots from many of the front runners.

I didn't say I'm wrong, at that point I already let some room but I dunno what happen with 2-4 so I accidentally bump number 4 (can't judge behind me hit me or not so I wouldn't talk about him) well I didn't expect get 3 seconds penalty :lol:

my race on that time clearly ruin by that incident.

2:02.5 for me at the nurburgring, didn't get many laps in though before heading to the in-laws. Optimum was 2:02.3 grrr. Have fun racing guys

Gave up on this one for qualifying as it seems to depend so much on how well you can drive off track on turns 2 and 3. By the end of the first sector I was already 2 seconds down.
 
After extensive testing, bump drafting is very bad for the pusher.

At least the one in front never suffered, blue rating at the end. I never got penalties from the bumps, nor saw SR Down on screen, not a single time, yet every race big drop in SR afterwards, no matter what DR rank. Plenty fun though, helped 2 people to victory and snatched one myself.

Did one more race in SR.E. Definitely a different driving style lol. The leader had a yellow connection which didn't help things. I didn't draft bump this time, just kept up with the top in fuel map 2. I was hoping to get ahead in the pit, however it didn't make much of a difference. Despite getting bumped around a bunch of times and driven into the wall, no penalties, finished 2nd, +21 SR, +2726 DR. Enough Mario Kart for today.

Daily C is GR.2 Suzuka tomorrow! 10 laps.

B is GR.3 on Interlagos
C is GR.2 on Suzuka!

I'll test what SR.C is like on Interlagos, then flee to Suzuka :)

Nice, great suzuka proper race. No shake and bake today.
 
They're being a bit stingy with the Gr.2 track selection, as Suzuka is a repeat. But glad to see Gr.2 more in the rotation.

Why on Suzuka again, I’m all for GR2 but Suzuka is on all the time at the moment.

Interlagos GR3 should be good though

I have a lack of GR2 cars at the moment meaning I am only racing Brands Hatch Indy and Interlagos today
 
If I have time it's definitely C.. My only problem is that the second Gr2 race is at Suzuka again.

Cant wait for tonight gr2 at suzuka.
Love these cars on this track, was able to get a 1:50 the other day which netted me a couple wins against lower B drivers until a dude called sinibaldi showed up and we had a couple extremely clean battles trading positions (1st and 2nd) and wins. Glad to see more than 4 laps Im starting to hate these shorter races, i think 6 laps would be so much better for the short races considering how much time you end up waiting in between.

Wow Sven you really tanked your rank tonight eh...? Im sure we'll see you back up in rank by tonight with fast cars longer races tho. Lol

Btw, who tf at PD decides what cars are used for the one-makes? Why no Ferrari, or at least a fast car from time to time? If I want to drive a Megane, I'll call my mom :lol:

Thought I would start at the back for the Gr.2 race as normally I qualify up front but quite fancied a challenge. Didn't realise the magnitude of the challenge I faced. I started 14th, made a blinding start and got to 9th after the esses. Come the right hander before going under the bridge I get rammed off. By The time I've lurched out of the gravel I'm a lowly 15th. Within 1 lap I'm up to 10th and just one corner after the previous shunting, the hairpin, I'm rammed off again. Recover myself, heading into the final chicane, rammed off again!! That was enough for me, quit a race for the first time in ages. Lesson here is always qualify and get high up that grid, preferably pole!

Did the Interlagos race, got a 5 second track penalty because I went into the grass for a couple seconds. That cost me two positions because the race was basically a parade. They need to tone down the penalties in areas where it's obviously not corner cutting.

Some days it really feels like the track is more slippery than others. I was having a ton of trouble keeping the back of the 458 Gr.3 from coming out, much more so than the Gr.2 I raced on the same track earlier in the day.

I opened another party with 2 friends and did lobby racing.
No sense for me to stay in a party with a random guy who plays another game :p

You couldve joined anytime though (forgot to invite you, sorry) :boggled::)
 
That sucks. thats how i tanked my ratings after 1.16 couple bad races like that...a rage quit or two, down two ranks and 3 in sr.
I feel like they punish quitting or just disconnects way too harshly.
Ive had one or two times someone knocks at the door or had to leave and forgot about the race and was disconnected.But even if you rage quit it doesnt really negatively affect anyone.
