Yes you can, or at least I did on Race B this morning. I pulled over to the far right of the track, and just before the finish line slammed the brakes on and squashed my 2.6 second penalty. Crossed the line without losing a position and no additional time.
Fair enough. It didn't burn at all on Maggiore last week where it used to, so I presumed they had made some changes.

Don't forgot to permanent leave on your hazards and also, remember you go faster if your flashing the headlights for the entire race ;)

Anybody else finding the Ford Focus to be a great training tool for trail braking? I can't even make a balanced turn with that thing unless I'm feeding brake and throttle at the same time through the turn.

That tendency extended into how I drive other cars and now I'm finding it easier to turn any car even if I'm breaking them a bit loose on the oversteer sometimes.

Did a couple of race B. All clean races. I climbed back to A/S again on EU. 👍:D

Watch the replay again, the Spainiard did nothing wrong

Well I just had what would have been a great race at Suzuka spoiled by the game. I had a 10 second penalty all race thanks to someone pushing past at the start into the S curves, nothing you would not see in a real life race (without punishment) but no GT Sport gives me a massive penalty for it for some bizarre reason. Also had the guy on pole not made an aggressive defensive move 3rd wouldn't have had a run on me in the first place, shame because they raced very well and fair on the whole and quick too. ;)

I do wonder if the lag is the main culprit in these cases and sees and sometimes causes things to be much worse than they really are. :irked:

btw were you disconnected in that one race where we were matched on the Ring? :(
Yeah, if shutting the game down counts as getting disconnected

Wasn't up for starting last against you and your alien friends :)

I had a >10 sec penalty after the S-es, too! How stupid is that! Normaly I'm more or less a defender of the harsh penalty system, but in combination with a start from standing its just ridiculous and disgusting!

No wonder most players who reached a certain high DR-level are creating smurf accounts, to test the races before. And Suzuka failed today. The whole field was a christmas tree after lap 1

Shame on you:ouch:
Maybe.

I wanted to see where my Q time would put me... someone said before that at least half of a Nurb grid don't qualify, so I thought I might start in 10-12. Then I get matched with aliens

Fed up of being matched with people I have no chance of competing with and losing DR.

@Alpha Cipher were you there too? Saw you were online...

Ahh no I just relate to that statement
I just log in to all my accounts when I start the PS4 so I can see all the messages I get

@Robben if you just keep the car on track you would‘ve been in the upper half at the finish line I guess. In the lower SRs it‘s actually true that almost nobody qualifies, I had one race at SR89 where maybe 8 people had set a time

I just had a great five lap long battle with a fellow Aussie who goes by Digg_One. I started from pole with my trusty Viper, he with a Scirocco in second ahead of a field of much lower rated drivers. Very clean, fair battle. It was fun blasting away on the straights only for him to catch up again in the fast corners, great balance between the two cars.
