First race I got punted off by someone in Lap 1...
Thing is I already completed T1 by then! I'm not even mad I'm amazed at how people manage to divebomb after a turn
Got held up pretty much the whole race after that, and I got a bit too aggressive, it must be said :( Sorry :(
Also saw @Baliwa :D
I more aggressive than you on that race by the way , and only once try pit without change tire I learned the lesson in hard way after drag test with you I get punted and on last lap I spin out

time learn penalty system is done now, time to back to 29K again, will back again to Sport mode on 11PM +8 GMT maybe we will meet again :p

looking forward to that ;)
I was more aggressive towards the end when we were separated so you didn't see it (thankfully )
One particular guy we both raced with (the one who punted you) isn't the cleanest guy either :indiff:

none is clean on every weekend  but at least I learn big trick now how to put out guys like that to gravel without get penalty but still touch they, I use that twice maybe he punted count as karma

That's less hectic than on 4pm, total carnage Monza become as temple of destruction

some guy hit me, it was his fault but probably not intentional, and got a 5 second penalty. i got 1 second (we are both A/S). he had the flashing penalty thing so i let him past so i could take his position on the line, but when the race was over he didn't have a penalty and I still had my second -_____-

Twice at the Thunder Dome (aka BB). "Better send a meat truck" pretty well much sums it up. First round and I went with the Vantage. Qualified P8 amongst DR/Bs and Cs, but mostly Ds. I was the second highest qualified D. Sadly I had this one guy who kept weaving and blocking which really held me back, added to which was the constant brake checks on the exit to the first turn. Very frustrating :irked:! Finished P9, DR down, SR up... a bit.

Second race I decided that since there was only one Supra in that race, I'd splash the cash and give it a try. After making it look respectable, I took it for a burn. Beat my Aston time in the first 3 laps of qualifying, then knocked a little more off that. Would have qualified P6 in the previous race. This race, P7. Half the field was DR/Bs and an A. Sadly, baaaaaaa! Baaaaaa! I was a sheep :O. Lots of Supras. Cleaner race second time. Misjudging the first turn on 3 laps put me tallied up in P10. DR down to 211 but my SR is back into the 90's. :D

Wait a minute. You put your hand in the fire twice?

Monza was surprisingly kind to me tonight. Dusted off the NSX, Qualified P7 with 4 DR/Cs above me and the rest DR/D... my peeps :p.

The race started and I braced myself for the carnage that was sure to follow. I wasn't disappointed. I hung back a bit, let a couple of people slip past, then picked my way through the mangled tangle of the fallen. I hit the high speed curve after the first chicane in P3. Spent most of my time there just focusing on staying on the track without picking up penalties. A couple of times I was in P1, but the NSX is a thirsty, thirsty beast, and I'm no good with the whole fuel map thing. I only know 6 settings. Full throttle, coast, full brake. Full lock left, centre, full lock right :dopey:.

I had to pit twice for fuel, but I didn't change tyres, and I was quite happy with the handling all the way to the end. I was carrying a 2s penalty and dropped from P3 to P4 across the line. DR up by over 1k (that's a lot for me), and SR maxed out. 👍

Another day above DR 1 :D.

Nurb24h was frustrating yesterday, it was very hard get a satisfying race in. Always a bloody penalty at the start from someone not braking or trying to dive into T1. So I lowered my DR down to DR.B by waiting in the pit for everyone to pass after lap 1, which did get rid of the penalties for getting bumped from behind. However I still got penalties for getting dive bombed hit from the side. Not that you can evade, as there's detour penalties everywhere you leave the track or 5 sec for hitting the wall.

The only way to get a good race in was to hit back and drop SR a bit, then race clean with the top 5... Starting mid field with the max SR crowd was simply not fun. There were still good clean drivers yet the laggy overly aggressive drivers kept messing things up. The last 2 races as DR.B with SR starting at 84 (after a ridiculous race at max SR) were finally good fun. Competitive and clean. No wins, yet it did advance me back to max SR and DR.A. It's hard to stay in the sweet spot.

The sun is back out today, so no racing this afternoon. Monza maybe tonight. I wonder how badly the "get a penalty and hot lap through cars" is going to get abused. Perhaps I'll wait in the pit again to get back to DR.B, SR will lower itself on Monza :)

I have been away since the new update. Is this really a thing now? They just solved the penalty stop problem by making every car with a penalty a ghost?!
I need to speak with the manager...

I raced there 5 times this morning. Didn’t do to bad in 4 of them, top 5 finishes with qualifying mid pack. “Drivers” kept hitting the wall on the first turn, numerous penalties. I even bagged a win with the fifth race, qualifying 3rd. Clean driving for the most part too

Best feel ever when just need 1 day back to A, race with GT500 always bring big fun regardless what happening on track.

Let be honest in this video I tryhard doing some psy attack by do some late brake and doing door to door, at least this one work in 1st chicane  I dunno if this one fail  Good thing I get 2nd position after start in 8th

It gets abused yes, yet the rules are still a mystery to me. You now ghost as soon as the penalty time starts decreasing, normally when slowing down yet there's a few spots on some tracks where you can shave off and ghost by lifting off the gas. As a result people were serving penalties in front of the pit again and then they go solid as soon as the time depletes, which you can't see when approaching, so they might go solid one inch in front of your bumper, which happened to me.... twice.

However in one race on nurb 24h people with penalties were drafting through me at full speed, I had a penalty as well and also saw other cars with penalties go through each other. Yet when I tried to test it out in another race I just draft bumped into the car in front of me on the long straight instead of going through.

So no, you don't automatically ghost with a penalty, yet I have seen plenty instances where people with penalties went straight through other cars. Perhaps when you have a penalty you can't hit penalty free cars (as a crude harassment protection?) or the higher penalty car can't hit lower penalty cars. Of course since the system only guesses who hits who it might all be random in practice.

It's a confusing mess creating yet more problems and uncertainty.

Bad braking point?? Ramming people in everywhere?? Welcome to the Monza Circuit!

This is why i hate racing in Monza...

The people want to discover the fun fact in that race (video)??

Anyone else notice people with penalties being 'ghosted' without appearing so? Does this happen to anyone with a penalty?

I doubt I'll ever make it out of the ~15000 DR points range. Every time I'm running anywhere near the front some :censored:head takes me out near the end of the race and I'll finish in the teens. Sure, my SR keeps going up but it isn't much of a consolation because every SR class seems to be full of those same :censored:heads.

What's the best group 2 car for fuel? are they all about the same?

For fuel, stay away from the NSX. I had no problems triple stinting the tyres, but was only getting 4 laps fuel wise. The tyre wear and fuel thread has it listed as 213km/tank, whereas the GTR at 241km and the Lexus at 240km under X1 fuel I assume.
