I did 8 races on Monza this evening. First 4 were clean with 3 wins, mainly due to starting in the top 3. The first one I had not really qualified yet, 12th was a good starting place as well and climbed to 6th in the first one before the win streak.

However in the 5th race I dropped to 7th place for the start and that invited Monzilla to come out. First we have this lovely fellow forcing his way through at T1 giving me 5 sec penalty, he only gets the 1.

Followed by someone serving a penalty in front of me, I can't really go left as there are cars behind me so through it must be yet of course he goes solid right as I get there, resulting in the GT pinball hoedown.

Add another 5 sec for 10 sec penalty to start with. (Other car blocking the road got 1 and a nice launch)

For that I was deducted 18 manner points from 99 to 81. Not that bad as that got me 2 more wins starting 1st and 3rd. Then the last race I started 7th again and got taken out first in T1 and in lap 2 in Ascari, finished 12th. All 3 were clean on my part, just a 1 sec penalty for getting rear ended in one race (still blue), the others without any penalties. However the 3 together were only good for 12 SR, so still down.

But whatever, 5 wins, 2,600 DR up, the penalty system can suck it.
 
nice matchmaking in AS get lumped with DS in 2 race and get nice brakechecking and tap :lol: all way fall to AA. In this morning trying back to AS by playing safe with GTR but still get tapped and brakecheck. 10 sec penalty 4 times good enough to fall me into BC, just stop racing for now and wait for next mix.

I didn't blame anybody I just blame myself why I can't adaptating with situation or just stop when everything get worse :lol:

nice matchmaking in AS get lumped with DS in 2 race and get nice brakechecking and tap :lol: all way fall to AA. In this morning trying back to AS by playing safe with GTR but still get tapped and brakecheck. 10 sec penalty 4 times good enough to fall me into BC, just stop racing for now and wait for next mix.

What a game - what a feature! You have to blame yourself for playing it... However I understand your point. Slowly I get out of the habit of entering races. Car racing used to be a completely different challenge than what we need to do here.

And this is completely (thoughtlessly and unnecessarily) different, intended to anyone:
A usual, huge WHY? after the dailies announcement, anyone? That's so funny.

For those complaining about matchmaking, check out the guy on pole (and P2) in my race at Mt Panaroma a few hours ago! My poor little Honda had no chance! Anyway, it's actually good to see a top alien(s) doing daily races with the rest of us mortals. I "only" finished 28 seconds behind the winner (L-Shooter_RB26 of course).......

I'd rather blame myself on that point rather than blame other racer just cause I really know I can avoid all incident but I still tried hard to make some gap or late brake. All is learn I guess.

Changed the meta running today. Currently race B is Veyron, Vantage and the Huracan. Race C is 911, Supra and the RCF 17.
 
I’ve got to say, I really enjoy Dragon Trail - Gardens. I wasn’t so sure on it at first, but the Grp. 4 races there earlier in the week, and now today’s Grp. 3 race, have won the circuit over for me. Flows very well once you start to get the hang of it.

Agreed, a track mixed with long straight and tricky corners. Still haven’t won there but really enjoy the clean races I have had. Matched with A+/A racer. Finished 3rd and got clean race bonus. 2 races 2000 Dr. Great and fun races.:yuck:

I agree. Clean racing from us at the back.

I think my move from last to top 10, was inspired by today's Virgin Australia Supercars race. Scott McLaughlin won from 19th and Craig Lowndes scored 3rd from 25th. Fantastic group of racers in the daily.

Feel much better racing with GR.3 in Gardens compare running with GR.4 car, last race just lumped with A+ and A I just forget if I only B on race or there's another B guy on race. Suddenly feel so slow :lol:

Really is a beautiful track.

For the first time, I felt no pressure. Just made my plan: Shift before the second yellow light, maximize my corner speed at the back chicane and stay smooth on the "Four Brothers" right handers. Pitted lap 10, no tyres, short fuel. re-entered with a pacey car behind. I let it go after turn 4 and brought it home. Also helps that I'm comfortable with the AM. Sweet car.
 
I did a little pre-qualifying stroll through the gardens. I've done a few races against the AI, but I still don't feel I know the track well enough to race in public yet. I managed a 1:36.xxx. Knowing some of the mistakes I made, realistically the best I'd be able to manage would be a 1:33.xxx. It's roomy... bit less hectic with the RSR than it was with the Chaparral! I can see The gardens being a good place for Gr1/2 dailys.
 
Just not getting the hang of the Gardens today did ok on Group 4 just cant find a good rhythm, what is everyone using? Predominantly 911s as on the timing board?
Edit: Very quiet in here today!! Going to try the Lancer.

I set a decent lap in the 11 amg and the lancer can go fast too, so can the corvette. To be honest, as long its not something down on power then it's down to personal taste
 
Thought as much just need to keep practicing am down to a 1.33.504 in the Lancer. So far i have tried the RC F, Lancer, Supra, C7, Vantage, RCZ and the Genesis.
