Did a couple Gr.3 Brands Hatch races, first race was matched with really good players that are probably out of my league right now. Not sure why I was matched with them. Started 8th finished 9th I kept screwing up. Second race started second and finished second, was surprised a few of the guys didn't pit, including guy in first. Tire wear didn't bother me but I did pit lap 5. It probably is pretty doable to not pit as long as you have TC to like 2.

Nah you don't use TC control, just CSA, it's just better and does not slow you down, unrealistic but there you go. You still have to drive carefully near the end of the race but doing it without stops was the fastest way even with the worn tyres, as long as you don't crash you'd finish ahead of all the ones stopping.

Group1 at Nurb sounds interesting, finally time to get out the Porsche or the Toyota and actually try them out 👍

The Pug drives really weird, I was so off yesterday at Kyoto it was embarrassing

I found the Gr. 1 Hyundai pretty good, aside from the Mazda which handles ridiculously easier than any of the others.

Yeah the Pug is really weird! Really slowly round the corners was the only way in the end...

Hence the wink at the end! Ovals are pointless.

What happened to your SR last night?

the Manufacturers killed me! tbf my fault I was a bit too agressive on a corner and ended up braking late resulting in a penalty for bumping the guy in front. I can't drive SR99 all the time haha

Made a 1:26:918 around Lake Maggiore East to reclaim the top1 back. ^^

Love the track but the car not really.

Another sweet lap using every inch available 👍 After watching it my quali time improved a bit, to 1:28.6 - mostly down to copying what gears you were using :)

Car's OK, but before that I'd been messing around in the 512 BB - quite similar, but enjoyed it more.

Lol i love to watch people fly away all the time. :D

I did 3 races... got 3 poles, 3 fastest laps, 3 wins, and 3 clean race bonuses - best tally ever for an evening! OK, it was late and a very mixed field, but the two behind me had close-ish quali times. The main difference was that they were fighting each other some of the time, and not being consistent the rest, while I just focused on staying within the cars limits :nervous:

I just want to know where the Gr.4 race is on!?
Better for my SR atm :D
That's what I thought, but I ended up at the back of an SS/AS race where quite a lot was happening. Those recovering from spins and off-road excursions seemed to think that it was okay to use me to vet around corners instead of their breaks...

That's great! :) I watched all the other top10 laps and some were going even wider than me into the grass xD

Man the sense of speed in the Gr.1's round the nurburgring is incredible! Probably partly due to the fact I did the Peugeot race beforehand lol but wow, great fun.

Anyone noticed that the hybrid system on the Porsche actually works? Braking gamers energy and use that energy out of the corners. It sounds silly because we know the 919 is a hybrid but it's fascinating to witness the difference.

Race A (Peugeot) is a boring ass race damn. I hate that car. :(
PD need to step it up, they could create soo much better races than this.

Gonna try the Hyundai with its weird rev-indicating penis later. It gives the word "cockpit" an entirely new meaning.
 I didn't use interior view so presume it something in the car?

I did quite like the Hyandai on Interlagos though

Screw that, -- bhp and SS is bad enough on tarmac! I did use some of the new tarmac where the variants join though, seems fair

The 919 is ridiculous, must practice more gradual application of throttle, or start reducing steering lock much more quickly, one of the two! I'm on a 1:40.9 currently which is still 0.5 seconds away from top 10, likely 1 second by tonight. I'm really struggling with it bogging down and then suddenly taking off like Apollo 13!

I FINALLY got my first pole position in brands hatch daily. I did my qualifying last night and got into the race today. (I’m quite happy with it because I’m using a controller and x and square for gas and brake)

BIG mistake, I felt too tense for some reason and honestly ran a bad race and finished in 5th after way too many mistakes on my end and it didn’t help I got punted twice. Worked my way back to 2nd and lost the rear end in a corner and back to 5th :(

Did it with the GR3 evo. I’ll try again later and hopefully more relaxed.

There seemed to be lots of no brakers on Brands Hatch last night ...it's so cheap can't race won't race went from 6th on grid to 14th kept getting back doors smashed in by idiots ...at least I had the pace to pull back a place or 2 but the race was over ...been my experience on that course every time people either ram you off (including leaders) or try to overtake where you can't and push you off ....ho...hum I won't lower my standards and stoop

Yes 919 Hybrid, Audi R18 TDI, and I think TS050 has the energy recovery system, pretty cool.

Damn, i managed 1.27.4 and really happy to be near at your time, but now you get a 1.26.7 and the difference get bigger now... :D

First time Gr.1 for me. Finally forked out the $1M for the Porsche... More than worth it. I was struggling with 1:45.000 in the Toyota, Bugatti as well as in the MacLaren. 10 Laps with the 919 and I am down to 1:42.200 with ease. At least 3% too much power in comparison.

When you're dealing with race cars over 600HP, sometimes less is more. Think of it like a natural traction control. You aren't putting down as much power in the turns as other cars so you can take them more confidently and carry more speed. Unless you're dealing with a half-mile or longer straight you usually don't have to worry about the HP difference causing an easy draft overtake.
