Race B is crazy. 10 lap sprints bring out the rabid dogs. Did steal a fastest lap at the death though. (50 sec video)

 
Generally I usually enjoy the daily races. Race B (Monza) and Race C were great yesterday. I particularly enjoyed Monza - didn't qualify so the the incidents were in front of me, and then battled through to finish in the top 6.
 
does the ds4 aliens have any tips for faster laptimes in general? i run well on race c today,mostly second because always there is that guy that uses csa, i tried b for the lols(rip my sr)expecting nothing, and i still got disappointed,its a fun race but very unexpected..

You were in my race c i think at 3pm (uk) seemed to do ok winning it.
 
Wow, this is the worst selection yet for me. Sports tires and an oval sprint. I should have stayed in bed.

Monza didn't get me any wins yesterday as I didn't get dropped down in SR far enough. I only got a penalty in two races from getting cut off and bumped in T1. Just 7 SR down doesn't cut it to get rid of the aliens that are still over a second per lap faster. There was plenty of chaos again of course, but it gets easier and easier to avoid the mess. It should be after 200 races on Monza :)

DR up 5K by finishing in the top 3 consistently. I could have gone on to raise it a lot more yet played GoW instead. Maybe today I'll get to finish the main story as well, the races are poop today. I could do some Bluemoon races to set my SR up for a win tomorrow...

I have a Fanatec with load cell V3 pedal set with clutch pedal, anyone know if I can use my paddles like a shift lever and use my clutch pedal or do I need to get the separate gear lever to make the clutch pedal work?

The Golf race at Brands yesterday tore up my SR. Started the day at SR/S, and by the time everything was said and done, I now find myself in very unfamiliar, very scary territory at a low SR/B. Looking for all of your help on what I can do to recover quickly. It’s horrible racing with this crowd. HELP! SOS! :confused:

Very simple, I stopped caring about my precious SR S, now I just go race, if someone wants to start pushing me around on track I push back. I'm SR B at the second, I'm guessing I may go down even more today but when real race tracks and cars come back my SR will go back up. Last time I checked I was not getting any awards for SR S.

I needed 7 days to finally get back to DR A+ after that reset. Happy now :)

You get 0 DR for spending hours hotlapping getting to the top of a Daily Race or FIA leaderboard, some guys seem to forget this ;)

Decided to skip daily and go nations instead.. What a mistake to do that as B/B. If I didn't get reset now,I never will lol
Hope we get something better tomorrow.
 
I did a bunch of daily B races, cause well, it was raining. It started out not so bad, even a few clean races bonuses yet it never takes long until someone crashes in front of you and taps you on the way down for a 10 sec penalty. The rooms were also mostly DR.B who get away with bump passing and sometimes even give you a penalty when bumping you into the wall. I could make a reel of all the unfair penalties again yet at this point it would just be beating a dead horse.

So as expected I'm now down to SR.B. On the positive side, there were also great clean racers around that provided fun battles. Actually I'm down to SR.B cause after a while I just said F that, back to draft bumping. No point in trying to maintain SR on Bluemoon. One room had one blue rating at the end...

Worse than the penalty system, that doesn't know any better, is people that accuse you after the race of dirty driving. I always save the footage, checked it, send him the screenshots where he bump passed pushed me into the wall in T3 and another where he gave me 5 sec penalty when diving to the inside at T2 exit from high up. Haven't heard back. He did get screwed by another player in T1, yet I got the blame...

I had 2 virtual wins, although thanks to people crashing into me giving me penalties I lost both at the finish. So no wins. Unfortunately I only lost 2.5K DR so far, still a long way to DR.B to get to drive without stupid penalties from other players. Most of that loss came from picking up the wrong controller at the start of one race, finished last as I couldn't find where I put it fast enough. -1862 DR lol. Kinda lopsided when a second place only gets me 170 points.

Saturday on Bluemoon, still the same as ever.

This crap where the lower DR driver basically has a license to cheat needs to come to an end by PD. These guys that are not happy to be passed so they force you into the wall and get away without a penalty is preposterous. Why does PD figure that the slower driver should be able to push the faster driver into the wall without being penalised?? PD already allows someone to use every assist and not be slower because of it. They will never even out the DR skills of every racer on the interweb, there will always be faster and slower drivers, time to even the rules out for everyone regardless of skill level.

What I managed to do today (other than throw a race win away on the last lap) was figure out I'm losing loads of time in acceleration zones. On Suzuka it was a constant, even after getting a better exit from the corner and being in the slipstream I'd lose at least 0.2 of a second on rivals by the end of the 'straight' (S/F straight, from hairpin to Spoon, and from Spoon to 130R), and I lost it quicker towards the end. So either I don't know when to change gear or the sticks on the pads aren't working properly. Ran into that Miura bloke too, didn't see much of him but he won comfortably according to the race results!

(Serious note if anyone has an idea why I'd lose so much down a straight using the sticks - throttle appears to be on full according to display - help is very much appreciated!)

I don’t kno how competent a driver you are, but I’d say if you’re losing 0.2 by the end of a straight over another car I’d say because he’s maintained a marginally higher speed through the previous turn, so work on getting the power down earlier

Even if they don't give you a penalty, SR points are still deducted. I just did a race, got bumped a plenty as usual yet for once the penalty system did it right and assigned the penalties to the cars bumping me into the wall. I went from 5th to 2nd at the finish as all the bump passers had penalties. I got the clean race bonus, 3 consecutive now, however i still dropped from SR.A back to SR.B, no penalty, no SR down, red B...

I did manage two wins though, one from 8th place with the clean race bonus. So whatever PD, keep my SR low, I'll still race clean and actually the less subtle attacks are easier to avoid.
