Strange. I thought I read here that position was important ? Because of the DR level you should in fact qualified better than you actually did. Or was that only as a statement to show that even when gaining 7 positions it doesnt matter because you would need to qualify before them anyhow ?

Where you finish is important, and the level of other drivers are important. Qualifying in daily/FIA races has absolutely no effect on your DR. It all varys on the people you defeat or lose to, and the DR of those people.

Basically if you lose to someone with a lower DR, it will go down. If you defeat someone with a higher DR it will go up. If you finish between different DR ratings they will average out.

Ive actually been enjoying the RCZ Race A. I feel the track is challenging enough to make most races interesting without to much bullying.

Clipped a corner out of the "Swimming pool complex" and lost the lead, but still finished on the podium with two clean racers.

you can now check the daily race schedules on the official Gran Turismo website.
https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/sportmode/schedule.

Thanks for the heads up, I think that must have just been added to the website as I am on there most hours of my work shift (naughty I know!)
and never noticed before today.

A most welcome addition as now I can keep an eye on the daily races, now I guess I can see how I compare against the rest of the
world when it comes to qualifying times et all.

"Hello, Let's have a clean race!"

Yeah, they're the ones that smash into everyone. I wish people would watch real races. Time and again, there's video footage of what goes wrong, when a racer tries to win it in the first corner.

I mean, come on. You'll get 'em next time, Champ. Survive the first turn and just race smart. Someone has to come first and someone has to come last. Jeez.
See that's the problem, people don't want to come last, thus the demolition derby at P5+.
It's very important to come 17th instead of 18th, even at the price of red SR, for everyone..

Shame that my favorite combo (race C) arrives when I'm at work all day :nervous::nervous::nervous:

There were some right clowns in the upper midfield when I was on, some real punishment for my mistakes when I ended up behind them, one in particular tried every trick in the book to stop me getting back ahead, somehow I only got 2 seconds worth of penalties due to him. I got more than that in other races for accidental cuts that lost me time if anything.

I only finally ran a good clean race once I got a race where I knew no one could match my pace and so won comfortably. I need to race better, like not go off track, under pressure. Still enjoyable racing all the same.

updates almost real time as in-game displays.
faster than any APP as far as I know.

Also you can check friends/region qualify rankings like unofficial app does.

What a step! PD! keep the great work.
I think we can see these features added to the official APP soon.
Yet they can't display the one-make car?

nice win @05XR8 .

I just did some qualifying laps and put in a 1:40.871. Not a fast lap, but a clean one. Could do more but I want to give my hands a rest for the race. Guess I'll see where that lands me.

Cool feature, anyway on the one-make race, can we see the car model somewhere ? I don't see the info

I just experienced a severe understeer bug in race C. My RC F was plowing in every corner.
For example, at the hairpin I couldn't even keep my line doing 60 km/h. My apex speed is usually around 70 km/h.
I had no chance of taking the 130R flat out as I would understeer off. In the esses my average speed was down 15-20 km/h.
I pitted early as I reckoned I had a bad tyre set but after a new set I was still plowing.

I'm currently the 36th fastest in the EU but I was being obliterated by people who qualified 2 seconds slower than me.:banghead:

It felt like I had one compound harder at the front or like I had lost 10 degrees of steering lock.

yikes 1 day 2 weird experience.
after I become victim now I become as suspect, but dunno what happen on here why I not getting penalty I questionable this one.

Ah yes I never intended do some hit, I just try to close as I can

When you trust the players around you...

Is Daily B safe to race? kinda reluctant run in DT Seaside with short lap.

It seems PD overlooked that in the layout of the website as I can't see the car model listed either, hopefully something that will
be added!

I don't think either player should've received a penalty there. The other player cut across into you and paid the price by going off. I'd say the penalty system got it right there, but, you know, broken clocks are still right once per day and all that.

Daily B is a bit rubbish. Theres the usual divebombers into turn one, random penalty assignment and bus stop fun.

5 laps is too short for that track.

I tried the M6 as well. Did a 39.8. Felt stable and smooth power delivery out of corners. Tried the Supra again and did a 39.5. Wasn't expecting two poles. Previous races had me 12th to 15th.

First couple of races were a crash fest. Last three, lucky to have respectful drivers tonight. Just see how you go.

You're good, that guy was being a weave blocking idiot and got what he deserved.

Yet another day chasing the dragon. Qualifying put me in P3 which came as a bit of a surprise. Was mostly C/A and D/A with a couple of B/A thrown in.

I survived the first chicane. I had a peek at the first minute of the replay just to check something and saw the chaos that unfolded behind. Sadly, the next corner (not the dog leg), which I have been able to take flat out lap after lap in several previous races and all my qualifying laps turned out to be a bit slippy. I ended up in the sand and spun out, rejoining in P13 . I kept my nose clean after that, or so I thought. Saw lots of green SR so I assumed my SR was going up. I focused on keeping it on the track, and letting the people who tried to force their way up the inside get past and proceed to crash because they braked too late. The upshot of this was I finished P5. Considering the spin, I was happy enough with that.

So, DR went up a reasonable chunk, but my SR went down another 2. At least I managed to hold on to SR/A but I don't like it there :scared:.

Ok thanks man, I just feel bit too scared about penalty currently. Can't go all out when I feel like that.

I got a penalty for a little cut
:D Not just fast, but funny also! :)
After turn1 on track, left the track completely on T2 exit, then cut T3, cut T4, and "missed" T4 exit, completely offtrack. Didn't see the rest. Was there any little cut later on? :D
(And what's your laptime on Nurburgring GP?
Just kidding.)

you are definitely right but we can see the laptime records, not only the region top 10

Also using the non-meta 'Vette since it's what always gives me a Top 10 time here around DT, no matter what region :)

I tried a few different cars and I was fastest in the Corvette. Best optimum time was with the Supra but I just couldn't get it together. For the race I'm gonna use the Mclaren. Just a bit slower but extremely stable and easy to drive. The bus-stop in the Corvette is murderous.

I also tried the Supra, but I'm slower through the first sector there. I can take the bus stop flat out though, so in the end I think I'd get a similar time

I used the McLaren in the race. I won but it was too close for comfort. I'm a second off the pace in that car :scared:
