Missing braking point, bump drafting, bad (or not) defending you name it from me in this last races yet still get clean races tag :(. Still trying stabilize my lap time, and not so good from 8 races only get 3 races with almost same laptime per lap. Maybe get some luck in Lago today or Brands Hatch in saturday.

I did some more N24 races sticking with my no qualifying strategy. My best result was gaining 13 positions

No penalty yet bumped from behind a few times, no clean race bonus.

I did manage to get the clean race bonus when I went with a no stop strategy. Not easy with the Vette, it doesn't even make it in map 6. I still had to lift off the gas early not to run out. Surprisingly I still finished 5th and 6th without qualifying driving the whole race in map 6. I did let anyone pass that came close yet apart from the top most people couldn't stay in the road.

Since I kept finishing 5th or 6th I wandered back into DR.A. Luckily I managed to avoid most contact apart from one particularly dirty race where I got pinballed around for slowing down for an accident yet it didn't take long to get back to max SR. Since not qualifying had me still starting in 15th on average (lot of non qualifiers) dealing with T1 wasn't any easier. Outside seemed the best strategy, then slow all the way down and pivot on a dime for the second part when there's a gap available, usually marked by several ghosted cars...

Interesting night, multi class racing with all the A+/S to D/S rooms, starting behind D and catching up with A as the races progressed. I wanted to race more, damn server maintenance when my favorite track is on!

On course for 2nd place, but this guy had other ideas!

Totally your fault, you should know racing is a contact sport and going over grass with all 4 (without penalty) in order to get 1mm closer is perfectly normal, because that's how overtakes work: if you can't pass clean, cut the grass and bump off car ahead who absolutely has no right of choosing his path since you just cut grass to get closer.
Instead, you should have left 1 car width when you saw him behind, so his majesty can pass when seem appropriate.

What some people justify, really. No wonder sr S is as bad a sr C.

@VeeDoubleU yes I use radar, the front of his marker was still behind the back of my marker so I assumed I still had room to come across.

I have to back off to avoid colliding with a slower driver all the time, that’s what he should have done.

Edit: In addition to that, from his perspective he can clearly see I’m coming across, even if I gave him the room I’ve still got to turn at some point for the dog leg. He does not change his line whatsoever, he should adjust accordingly for the leading car.

I doubt this has to do with the update yet perhaps they changed match making? It's probably just not many people on yet after the maintenance. It was the 1:30 race, server came back early.

Great race for me, finished second, 1.014 behind first, no penalty. I would have won if my Vette wasn't so thirsty. 14% left vs 29%. I was right behind first entering the pit, came out well behind second, lost a place as usual.

Next race was even stranger

Is Matchmaking putting the non qualifiers together now or coincidence?

Starting that high up didn't go so well, punted to 14th in T1... After I finally got passed the slow mid corner braking drivers I had a great battle for 3rd place. I took 3rd on the final straight yet ran out of fuel on the way to the line. Finished 4th.

Why make this a one-make? PD plz
Oh well, at least no meganes this time. :)

Yes, that's one of the more competitive cars there so why the need for a one make race and this isn't the first time they've done this either, just odd.

Definitely should have kept the "real" One Make raves going. I think the Genesis GT4 is a One Make in Thailand. Mustang GT is another. Veyron? Oh well...

That one is on him, you came slower out of the corner but that does not give him in any right to drive into you, he could clearly see where you were going and he didn't care. If he was besides you or maybe just half way up on your car we could have a discussion about what a cool move it could be. He does not lift or touch the brake when he makes contact he just pushes you of the track.

Lago is silly. All I have to do, is start from the back. I make up 7-8 spots by the 2nd lap. The work all gets done for me at T1.

Nice to see the registration areas appear to have been sorted now, I can finally select an accurate region and sub-region. At a quick glance the options for both looked much better across the board, of course this is only for England, I can't speak for anywhere else. ;)

not sure if I will be run tonight, only get 1:57:994 (or 922) atm and already have 3/2 second difference from top 10 :boggled:

Thankfully I've checked the whole week's schedule and decided to go out with friends for some drink tonight. Thanks!

btw it really hard to earn some decent points in low rank rooms.

Grabbed 2 wins from the first 3 races last night and earned 2500 DR with SR99 guys.
but have 3 bad races which cost me 2000 DR and dropped to SR C (Thank god my DR haven't been reset!!)

though I won the next 10 races in a row I can only managed to crawl back 1800 DR and It was too late for me to continue by that time.
(There were only 11 guys in the last race I did!)

guess I've missed a good chance to join the A+ driver club last night despite I managed a good quali time in DT Gr.2. :banghead:

You're right it is. I'm absolutely substandard in racing that Maggiore GP course in Sport Mode and I will never race there again.

Went from SR S to SR B on Dragons Trail thanks to both the bus stop (my fault) and some incredibly stupid drivers, dive bombing, shunting and thinking just because they are a little quicker out of a corner it entitles them to ram me and flash lights constantly, ******* idiots.

Yes, that is a bit weird. There's an actual announcement on it too:

https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/news/00_5280485.html

The weirdest thing for me is that, in 1.19, my primary region wasn't anything vague like an area or county grouping. It was practically my village.

I've been playing this game offline for several months now and only just decided to have a go at sport. I am now hooked as it is far better than racing the AI! One question though, i see everyone on here is discussing how much their SR and DR is fluctuating, how can you tell? I don't seem to be able to find this info in the game at all. Many thanks.

KK78 I feel for you, I did better still I got the full reset to D/E after 2 very bad races full of people doing just as you describe....

This whole mechanic whereby if a driver positions himself up your inside (divebombs) but doesn't hit you and you invariably lean into them (either because you don't know where they are or because you have the lead going into the corner and want to, you know, make the corner) resulting in a penalty for you but not for them is totally wrong, it often helps them make the corner too which they probably would not have. I swear it is how many people make up many passes in a race, leaving a wake of bemused drivers with penalties in their wake!

Hope PD address it.

That's just ridiculous! He was never in a position to overtake there.

Todays races:

Race A - One Make - Subaru BRZ S '15 - Tsukuba Circuit - 7 laps - Rolling start
Race B - Gr. 3 - Lago Maggiore GP - 4 laps - Rolling start
Race C - One Make - Bugatti Veyron Gr.4 - Dragon Trail Seaside - 9 laps - 7x Fuel / 8x Tires - Standing start

We just had DT yesterday. :(

Australia is still the same.

This has been my night.

And after all those races, I just now, didn't get a clean race. Daggone player smashes into me, coming out of the LiquiMoly underpass.
The car infront of me is skittish, trying to navigate the esses. I release the throttle and this 458 that was way back, didn't even attempt to brake. Hits me and I get a 1 second penalty.
