Oh my goodness.

I haven't looked at the replay yet.

Field of 20 for the ring, 10 with anytime time set and I am in 4th with my 8 min 51 which is pretty slow made a few mistakes. The first lap was fairly clean but managed to spin early on the second lap and drop down to 6th, caught 6th back up at the line and they where handed a penalty so I finished 5th. Also am back up to B/S after that race :)

Have you noticed that the track record on the GT sport web site does not work correctly?
When I was driving yesterday it just updated with the latest time as I was driving Nuremburg qualifying with different cars.

yes, the fastest lap time is not recorded there.. maybe the last one attempted or something like that.

It's a scary proposition to hold on for such a long lap. But it's great when you win.
I just didn't want to get hit at T1. The rest of the race, I would manage.
I looked back the next couple of turns. Saw a few red dunce caps and just kept my eyes forward until the finish line.

With about 9:51 before the start, I did an 8:52 after slowing for a 2.5 second penalty around T6-7.

I'm m not game to do another race. One and done.

Why not simply post them on here?!
I get that you put in some work for the daily overview, but if I'm not logged in, I cant view your signature, so....

Race A: Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop - the car from yesterday!?
Race B: Dragon Trail Seaside - Gr.2
Race C: Nürburgring 24h - Gr.3

Please confirm car on race A!!! :) Please???? :)

About that car and yesterdays Race A... Can anybody explain me what caused it to simply loose total control automatically after 5 to 8 laps????? I could not understand the reason nor a way to avoid it.. :(

Didn't knew that. I don't see the point to browse gtplanet whithout the be logged anyway.
Well, if I'm at work and the app hasnt updated yet, I like to login here and check the dailies real quick. No need to be logged in then ;)

I'm at work the whole day, so I can't. But someone already did it for you

Does everyone use neutral brake balance on the Gr.2 cars? I'm a bit stumped as to where to set it to be honest!

@MikeV27 not really a short race!

Monday Total Distance: 30.88 Miles (Bathurst)
Tuesday Total Distance: 35.99 Miles (Monza)
Wednesday Total Distance: 31.54 Miles (Nurb 24h)
Thursday Total Distance: 29.12 Miles (Dragon Trail)
Friday Total Distance: 31.98 Miles (Nurb GP)

It's about average

@Alpha Cipher 3 to the front?

Basically, from what I could see. +/- 1, anything more than that makes the car either oversteer or understeer badly. And since there's only 3 cars so far..yeah, not much left open for experimenting :)

Well I never thought this would happen but I'm getting a little bit addicted to this game! Haven't played in such a long time but the release of Le Mans got me to try again and had such fun in the Le Mans daily race a couple of nights ago and I've played every night all night since. Approaching DR A but seeing people suggest that it's best to stay in B. Can someone explain why?

Penalties still a bit weird from time to time and still get the odd race full of idiots who literally don't understand the rules of racing but there are plenty of respectful clean fast races out there. It's nice to see people back off when they realise they have no chance of making a clean pass, as I do, instead of just chucking it up the inside.

For me I feel like it still has understeer even with +3, but any more then it'd have too much oversteer :(

The penty system is hell at A and above. It's pretty much a whole different system altogether as opposed to what you have at B and below

I had some landmines at ascari too, but it was actually right hander after T1 where people served penalties in my race almost every lap. Can't even see them!
Luckily they ghosted a few times I missed seeing their cars, lost a bunch of time driving like granny at that part.

I almost got away with clean bonus as well, if there wasn't for that pesky no-braker in T1

Starting in last I let go of the gas before the 200 marker, already in map 2, then simply cruise through all the resets and penalty ghosts at my leisure. L1 got so slow in some races I was in map 4 a few times not to get too close to the chaos. T2 and Ascari were always messy as well. However right before Ascari people already ghost that don't take the perfect line, it's broken there. Anything under near optimal speed starts the penalty count down.

The difference between DR.B and DR.A is in DR.B slight door to door contact without consequences is fine, in DR.A a 1 to 4 sec penalty. Get bumped from behind in DR.B, no penalty, in DR.A usually 1 sec, can be higher as well. in DR.B an accidental bump from behind with no consequences, no problem. In DR.A 10 sec penalty. Also the SR loss seems to be 3 or 4 times as high in DR.A and points are deducted for any contact no matter if you get a penalty or SR Down arrow. Shortcut penalties seem to be amplified as well. I had to evade someone turning in at me on Monza on two occasions. In DR.B I got 1.8 sec penalty for going too far over the curb, in DR.A 4.8 sec. It would have been cheaper to let him hit me....

Recently I've been having great matchmaking with a full A room + 4-5 A+ drivers :D
It's been like this since yesterday, and quite consistent at that. There's one oddball race with 7 A ranks and the rest D's, but yeah I've been having more fun sapping A+ people of their DR with the more competitive environment :)

Qualifying time of 1:29.070 on Dragon Trail, starting 5th. Lost the back end at the hairpin a touch, guy behind saw an opportunity to overtake while I was turning marginally slower than he was and squashed him into a wall, my bad but he still should have waited for a better pass. 3 second penalty for me.

Pushed off the track on the final corner of lap one put me back to 13th. No penalty, absolutely the other drivers fault.

Clipped the barrier at the bus stop for another 3 second penalty on the final lap, wasn’t happy about that one!

No more hotlapping on sport mode for me.

Lots of practice and set a quick for me 8:30 something.

Puts me midfield again with loads of A+ and A drivers before and after me....including 1st two in Europe top ten and the next four were all in the top 50.

Wanted to be near the front with my own B ranked drivers or at the back with the higher ranked drivers.

Held my own and even made a place or two over first half of the first lap until the refuelling warning notice came across the screen and took my concentration for a split second....off the track and spun to last place.

My apologies for anyone's race compromised by my off.

Will now set up an identical track in the lobbies beforehand and do my practice there to see where I am compared to the top times.

tell me the lobby ID :)

I had two bites at the cherry chasing the Dragon. Both ended badly. First race I qualified P14 on a grid of DR/A and B with a few Cs and a couple of Ds.

Made it through the chicane with no penalties and ahead a few places, was doing well till I got an orange SR and I don't know why. I didn't hit anything, didn't cut a corner. Mystified :odd:. I was doing ok placement wise, till I screwed up the bus stop and hit a wall, spun out and the count down to pointing in the right direction came up. Finished 2nd last.

Next race I got a better qualifying time and a better match, except for the few DR/As at the top. Had a car spin out in front of me but didn't ghost, SLAM! Again an orange SR . There were a couple of bright points. The first was when a missile came flying in at the lead up to the right hander before the bus stop. I moved to the side and braked at my normal braking point and his braking point was the wall. He pretty much strait lined it :dunce:. The second highlight was the second turn after the chicane. guy in front went a bit wide, I hit the apex and exited the corner with my rear just clearing his front bumper 👍. Finished P11 due to the penalty which wasn't quite down from 6s.

SR dropped to SR/A and DR dropped a fair bit.

Wasn't happy with the SR so I did race A with no qualy. Me and Tokyo have never gotten along, but I was hoping for a clean race. People were scraping the walls all over the place, so even with me being ultra conservative I was still making a few places. I got slammed by someone who thought they owned the track, who then proceeded to weave all over the place trying to stop me passing :dunce:. I wasn't *trying* to pass, but he was just so slow from ping ponging I couldn't help but be right up his tail pipe. Eventually he scraped the wall to the point he couldn't get off and through I went. I saw a car coming up on my radar that i thought might be him, but I moved aside anyway. Was someone else. The other joker was 16s behind!

SR back to SR/S. DR leaves me with 58 points for the journey home. Still not happy with the SR but if I'm going to go out, I'm going out with a bang! N24 coming up as my final race in DR/C.

I don't get it. After the last 2 updates, the matchmaking is a disaster for me. I used to drive in competitive rooms with a few faster guys. 2 / 3 seconds faster. So I merely started between position 8 to 1. But that was the past. The matchmaking constantly puts me in rooms where my position is at the 15h place and there are lots of drivers who are more than 5 seconds faster than me. I'm a B-driver, so I'm not the fastest around. I know that. But I leave those rooms before hand. It will only reduce my DR points. There is no way to compete for me. And it doesn't matter what rating the drivers have. There are A+, B, D drivers in the room and all are so much faster. I don't care about people being faster. The matchmaking is a disaster for me. I want people to compete who are as fast as I am. There may be some peeps in the room who are faster, but not this many. I have tried to get into rooms without qualifying and I have tried to qualify with different times and it's all the same. Ofcourse if I set a qualify time that's near the top 10 times, people won't be 5 seconds faster in the room, but than still, I start at the back of the pack. This is no fun for me anymore.

Matchmaking is based on SR primarily. If you stay at 90-99 SR you will be placed with the fastest, that's just the way the system works. The matchmaking gets easier as you drop SR to the low S - A ranks. So if you want to race a full grid of DR B you probably just need to drop your SR.

Other than that you could just spend more time qualifying. I take about 20-30 min nowadays to qualify and that puts me about 1sec off the top ten which in DR A is good for top half grid start. If your in DR B you need to be within 2sec off the Top 10 list to be competitive in your rank.

Think of qualifying as warmup and practice time. It's my only form of practice other than just racing and it has helped me improve immensely so it is not time wasted
