Guys, I need your feedback. First I want to show you my quickest lap around Yamagiwa. I think it's quiet good, but maybe you guys see some things to improve. Be aware I'm on a controller using X and square to brake and accelerate.

Some part of the race. I ended up third after a mistake made by myself, started from pole but couldn't handle the pressure. After my pitstop I was pushing hard, I drive best when chasing. My first component struggled while pushing him into a mistake. I immediately was going for the next one on my list. But that ended wrong for me. Am I wrong or should he let me pass. It was a hard fight but I felt like I should have win that battle. Feedback please.

And at last the fast guy on monza who could have win easily without behaving like an asshole.

Trucks are bumper cars I guess. Shame, I love the track.
Got bumped loads. Went from SR.S to B from getting hit from behind and the sides. Stayed S with Gr.1 races, that was far better

As far as the second video, well first you hit the Audi by going too wide. You're fortunate they didn't hit the wall and have their race ruined because of your mistake. They shouldn't have hit you back, but that would've been the end of it. However you then left them no room going into the chicane at the bottom of the hill. It's hard to tell where the Audi was at that point because you didn't have radar on, but it looked like they were almost side by side when they made contact, so you should have left them room instead of cutting into their line. Then you also basically try to push the Audi off the track going uphill because, as you can see in the mirror, they are still somewhat beside you. It may have been unintentional on your part, but you should have left them room. Overall, your actions were not very respectful to the Audi driver.

You should always have the radar on if you're near other cars, and especially if you're trying to pass them. You were blind to where the Audi was and assumed you were ahead of them when you were not. (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't do all this intentionally) You didn't have the clear position and should have left room on the track. You initiated three actions which could have ruined the Audi's race. Was the Audi being too aggressive in the uphill contact? Maybe, but at that point I would've been pretty mad too.

Got bumped loads. Went from SR.S to B from getting hit from behind and the sides. Stayed S with Gr.1 races, that was far better. They really need to sort the SR out.

Got tipped out into spin what looked like intentionally (easy enough to do in these, just overlap their tail end and a little side nudge) from 4th to last, then stayed mostly out of trouble to end 8th but still cost me a few points of SR. Not one driver without a red dot. Not doing that again.

Suzuka east is okay but a clean pass is pretty much impossible there so you are stuck where you qualify and wait for others to error. Rather dull.

Roll on tomorrow.

So you go wide in corners, you cut corners, and if someone bumps you, you divebomb them and rage quit, not quite sure what you are proud of.
We ALL sometimes go wide and cut corners stop acting like youre perfect 100% of the time while racing. When someone bumps me OFF TRACK and causes me to go from 2nd to like 12th yes that warrants frustration and when that same guy bumps me again all bets are off and its time to give him some of his own medicine.

Where did I say I was proud? Oh holy S/S driver?

You are right there. But you cannot expect any thumbsup because you are exactly doing what most of us hate.

However it is quotes like these that make me so happy playing the game and visiting this forum:
Did one race as well that i ended up winning. Had a battle in the first lap and my race nearly ended as i was just able to avoid a very late move to the inside. He managed to make it stick and there was no contact so i guess it was a legal pass but damn i nearly had a heart attack.

He went a bit wide from the bump, I could have passed but let off in an act of sportsmanship. He then struggled to regain composure with me behind and on the final straight he appeared to slow right down. I really didn't want to take position as I felt it was unjust, so I backed off too. He then slowed down to a crawl (maybe fuel issues, who knows!) and I refused to pass, resulting in the slowest race to the finish I've ever witnessed!

Had some really good races @ Interlaogs last night. My best finish was 2nd in the GR4 458. just 1 or 2 dirty drivers but overall respectable fun group

Had a great day at Kyoto yesterday, clean and fair racing, moved from DR C to B and SR S from 96 to 99/99, some really good battles with a good bunch of people

I really enjoyed GR. 3 at Yamagiwa today.
Very clean B/S.
Managed to climb few up in every race, though I haven't won.
I don't remember when last time I have played for 5 hours straight.

Had some fun at kyoto today. Qualified with a 1:32.4 in the M6. Got three 2nd places and a 5th against some some good competition.

I just had one of the best races since I started playing. Started very nice... pressuring players in front, passing them clean and passing unlucky ones that crashen. Both 8th and 9th made some mistakes on last lap and I was able to pass them. Finished 7th with less than a second to 6th. Got the clean race bonus. That was an amazing race! So many good drivers.
Watching the replay now!

I had a great race round koyoto driving park today, I was in last place and trying to close the gap on the gaggle ahead but the gap remained around a second since I came out the pit on lap 7, and then it all came to a head in the final lap and ended up with me runnin out of fuel just before the finish line.

I enjoyed this race far more than the one I won earlier on in the day that’s for sure.

Kuddos to all respect drivers and waiting for the promissed replays 👍

S/S...I wish, i agree everyone has a bad day on track, the point i was trying to make was that you were a little all over the place and it is not clear from the video that he intentionally tried to hit you...like you did him, you became what you hate

I knew that Dragon Trail today is going to be fun, scored a victory after setting a quite fast 1:45.7 pole time
The race was really intense, I made some small errors as I was under constant pressure for 6 laps from a Huracan and in the last corner I went wide but was ahead just enough to stay in front :scared: After the race I saw that guy had a 2 seconds penalty

I'm after a bit of advice. I've been playing GT Sport for a couple of weeks and thought I made a bit of progress over the last few days winning a race and getting my ranking up to C / B.

Then I entered the race yesterday at Interlagos. My lap speed was so slow even after watching top lap replays in the Audi TT that I was racing in. My naptime was 1:42 Which placed me at 12-15 in the grid and I just got smashed around and lost my driver rating and am now D / E.

On other tracks I'm usually top 5 on the grid at start just wondered what I'm doing wrong on this track...

Can you post a replay of some of your laps, it's difficult to give any comment without that....having said that i am in the same boat, just can't get to grips with that track:rolleyes:

Interlagos yesterday was a pure disaster for me too, got demoted to SR A. AND I was starting int he lower half of the grid as well, which isn't usual for me I was getting a low 1:40 but almost everyone else was 1:39~. It's a Saturday so all the weekend warriors are on which are harder to race against than during the week.

Again, playing after long time.

Still I'm missing dealing with pressure...

At Interlagos in the second sector, as you do the long right hand sweeper going into the 3 tight corners (sorry I don't know the exact corner name), you can run wide and if you then start the breaking for the turn as you are returning to track most of the time the game won't give you a time penalty. This is what people were doing in qualifying.

This allows you to take more speed through the long right hander and opens up the angle for the tightest corner on the track. Doing this can reduce your lap time by almost 1 second.

Isnt 2:17 a Divebomb?
Yeah it is. But he was able to slow down enough to make the corner and not touch me so i consider it a legal pass. Though i would never go for anything as risky like that myself, especially on the first lap. It basically required me to take evasive action or eat gravel.

Race around Kyoto Driving Park in BMW M6 GT3.
Damn, was harder than I expected, managed to get 3rd tho. (Subscribe ;P)

That is a AI race. This thread is for the online daily sport races :p;)

Not a daily but did the wrs online race last night at Interlagos with the GT86 grmn.
Predictably came last after a first lap self induced lawn mowing session. Decided to go for a 3 stop instead of 4 stop strategy but misjudged my last refuel.
Never had a first corner like it. Orderly, rapid and respectful. At Interlagos! There may well have been a nudge or 2 but nothing from my view. Then the race really started.
Awesome time. Learnt some stuff. Great bunch. Hopefully next time I can keep my **** together and learn even more!

Didnt you plan to post a replay lol. A great tip usually is to watch the replays of the top 10. You must see things that they are doing better than you. Did you try that ? Maybe you didnt know it was possible ?

Hi, thanks for the reply I did not save any replays so I ment I'll do a lap and post it. My frustration was I watched the top 10 replays with the same car and copied the gear changes / line etc and did not get close. Most odd.

Its not strange. You cannot see the speed in the replay. So you think you do the same, but probably a tad slower.

1. Remember that 2sec slower doesnt always (although sometimes it does) mean there is a certain part or corner in the track where you can win 2 seconds. It most of the times is the track is devided in like 20 important little parts and every of that little part is adding 0,1 seconds.

2. What also is important: exit speed is much much more important than entry speed. Most of the times the people in top 10 are going out the corner much faster so they have more speed on the straight part after the corner and thus gaining 1 or 2 seconds. The trick is too brake more early and make exit speed higher than braking later which most racers wrongly think is faster !

But as said, without posting a reply we cannot see if its point 1 or 2 which is applicable. Could of course be a lot more reasons, just mentioning these two that apply to myself most of the times.

Don't know what on earth is going on with the daily races today but I'm a D rated driver and it's matching me up with a near full grid of A and S rated drivers. I'm D because I'm not very fast so why on earth is it pitching me against them? I gave it my all in qualifying and I'm 9 seconds off the S rated leader and 2.5 from the guy in front of me in 15th. Pointless even starting.

There's always reason to start a race. most of the time you don't end up last due to rage quits

Probably you have a high SR(a or b) ,the main criteria to matchmaking is SR

Yes I'm SR S but its always, without fail, pitched me against identical rated drivers for a good close race. Pitching me against people 9 seconds a lap faster is just crazy.
