Categorize and define are practically synonyms FYI, i.e you describe something and put it in a drawer. Again, semantic rhetoric for no reason. Your red herrings don't bite. The raw definition is clearly the latter but they are not mutually exclusive. To actually know your current plateau you need reliable data and not a 🤬 excuse when there is de facto a ton of improvement to do, on a whim.

So if someone who has a job, a family to provide for, responsibilities, and additional hobbies, if someone does the best they can with the time they have available, and know that they don’t have additional time in the week to put in more practice - if that person claims they have plateaued for the week, it’s because they’re lazy and full of bull 🤬 excuses roooiiight....

There’s as many reasons why a person might feel they’ve plateaued as there are people who play the game, being “lazy” is just one of the literally millions of reasons.

No such thing as plateaued, your plateau is the top 10. Everything else is just lazy.

Which then became, B,

Plateaued is when someone or something is literally at their limit and shows no or insignificant progress after considerable time.

All the while you have not gathered any evidence which you now believe is fundamental in determining a plateau,

To actually know your current plateau you need reliable data and not a bull$hit excuse when there is de facto a ton of improvement to do, on a whim.

It is not me stating things on a whim, a plateau in performance can be caused by an inherent laziness, just because you dont believe it doesn’t change that from being a fact. Plateau’s are caused by reasons weather you think these are excuses means nothing.

More and more posts in this thread troll people about junk. Not nearly as much discussion of Daily (weekly) Races. Sven Jurgens is correct that the end of daily races has made people bored. I realize that just wishing the races would be daily again isn't going to change much. Is Kudosprime able to track usage numbers for before and after the update change? Might be nice to see if there is more or (I would think) less participation. After checking -- from what I can see (not a proper evaluation) weekly participation might be down a little. Interesting trend to watch since I won't be racing much for a while.

@Sven Jurgens I'm not sure if you've already been talking about this, but WOW that glitched start last night at Interlagos was wild. That was my only race there yesterday and my main goal was to gain SR before FIA today, as I was sitting at 90 and I want to be at 99. Sure enough, if you have a plan, god (or whatever) will laugh at you. Even though I raced a very clean race from the back without qualifying, I still only gained 1SR for that race, I'm assuming because of the 10-car pile-up before the start line. What a mess. It's been quite awhile since something like that happened to me in sport mode, I usually only see it in lobbies.

So then I went over to NurbGP for a no qualy race to see if I could get up to 99. Picked the Cayman, as I'm loving it these days (but I dislike most of Gr.4). Started last, in 18th after a couple people got disconnected. I'm trailing the guy in 17th place, waiting for the right time to pass while putting some mild pressure on him. He gets nervous, loses control, didn't get ghosted, I ram him, 5s penalty and SR down. Ok fine. Maybe I can recover and still gain SR. I end up moving from 17th to 7th. About to pass the guy in P6 on the final lap after zero incidents aside from lap1.....as I'm pressuring him, I get punted from behind HARD, which causes me to ram the guy in front of me, also HARD. This one punter took 4 cars into the sand with this move. 10s penalty, SR down. Finished race in 13th I think, SR down to 75. Ridiculous. Now if I race FIA tonight it will be for fun, because I don't have time to increase my SR before the last time slot due to work. So now that I'm A/A, I'll probably be sitting on pole or at least top 3 in a lobby full of C/D drivers and a few A/B.

Overall I think the penalties are pretty good these days, except PD has never improved their ability to discern blame when somebody either rams you into somebody else, or somebody loses control in front of you causing you to ram before you can avoid them.

side note: oh my god, first time racing since the tire model update....and I suck I used to pull 1:31.5-ish at Interlagos, last night I didn't qualify but I think I was on a 1:33-34 pace and oh boy that Lancer was tough to keep stable on those undulations. On the flip side, driving the Cayman at NurbGP was a pleasure and didn't seem much more difficult, if at all.

Back to daily racing talk. First off, I want to say that I'm still not in favor of the dailies becoming weeklies. However, I found a bright spot, which I had anticipated, only not so soon.

During the old dailies, I remember how much it sucked when the day ended, if you've found a car/track combo that worked really well for you. I'm having a lot of fun at Willow Springs. I've already had my fair share of wins, but also really enjoyed the races where I didn't. The top guys just aren't racing there, much (tangled with one A+ guy, who was a 🤬 and I still owe one to). I know a lot of people hate it there, but it works for me. So, I'll have fun, there all week. People who are not open to using driving aids, will not like it.

I knew eventually that I'd have a good week-long situation like this, but I wasn't expecting it on week 2. I would still prefer to have new races everyday, because last week, I just wasn't liking any of the 3 races, and didn't race for 6 consecutive days. Got smoked at B & C, and A at Tsukuba is boring.

This is the only positive that I can see in weekly races.

Ha, I'm used to pile ups at the auto drive start. Starting last, any 1 bar connection can stall at the start and create a traffic jam. What's more annoying I had 2 disconnects last night and now again start 2nd lap at Interlagos disconnected, Not enough laps done to prevent SR loss. It's only -4 yet still nothing I can control.

So I did the daily A that was coming up next. The car behind me dives past me in T3 half of the track to pit manoeuver the car in front of me with two bumps (he just kept pressing the gas after the first hit) so that car spins out in front of me. Luckily I can avoid the mess until he ghosts, then the next car see his chance to bump pass me the next corner as I'm off the line to avoid the first dirty driver. I get the clean race bonus with a white S. The car that crashed the car I was following off the track gets blue, no penalty, same as the car that bumped me out of the way.

Imo the system is still as bad, SR is still deducted from the wrong drivers. PD just turned (most) penalties off to stop people noticing how bad it is.

I'll be back on Interlagos later with the Huracan. Or whatever my eye lands on next. This week I'll drive the same car until my clean streak gets broken, then pick another. It's actually quite easy now to get the clean race bonus. The Huracan likes to slide though yet still way better than the M4 on Willow.

This was an exciting race for me on Interlagos in the 911 RSR Gr.3 Got a small penalty for going to wide from braking to late in the first turn, so I messed up my clean race there, but I managed to stay ahead and race the rest of the race clean with a german guy in a WRX pretty close behind me the whole race until the end of the race where I guess he probably went off track. I had fun

The Corvette so far, Viper was nice as well. I haven't driven those 3 yet though. Clean streak of 4 now with the Huracan, when will I mess up, getting bored of this car

Edit: Did one more clean race with the Huracan, then the next race I had to go wide to avoid a diver and got a track penalty for it (in the last turn). When you see a diver coming you have 2 options, stay your ground and lose SR or avoid and lose the clean race bonus. When they hit you off track you likely keep the clean race bonus yet lose SR. If you avoid them you end up with a track penalty even though you lose time and the position. It's a lose lose situation.

My DR is slowing down less now, slightly under 20K atm and I'm still grid filler for the A+ A crowd, still running 1:34 laps in rooms where the front runs 1:32. I can break into 1:33 with drafting, yet that's about it. Different car tomorrow, jag perhaps.

Tonight I started near the back at Nürburgring gp. All bs as room. Had a lot of bad luck but fought hard. I was impressed at the aggressive clean driving and the leaders pace was way beyond me at low b s.
I was stuck behind from the first lap and kinda waited and regrouped on my pit. I decided to save tires for a late charge. Went from 15 back to 11 after starting 12. All in all good fun.
Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes he eats you.
I made some small mistakes here and ther and got a bunch of mini bad breaks and couldn’t string a couple laps together early.
The late charge was fun. Really my pace needs improvement. I just cannot seem to get that first section dialed in.
Some people are DAMN fast in the AWD cars there. I swear as a non FIA level player I am gonna do my best never to drop my sr ever again. I was at 99 and went to 96 after this race due to a first lap first section guy who spun rejoining badly. Ah the back of the pack lol.
I have been s except for one moment of weakness where I sacrificed a few of my South American friends to gain dr and had to work back from b. What a pain in the arse!
Never again. I like the s sr racing. To me regardless of my finish this game is awesome! I know maybe some play to get these ps4 trophies or a rating or whatnot but I don’t care about trophies or ‘gaming prowess.’ I just enjoy racing and I am happy the new penalty system doesn’t have me freaking out about it.
Respecting other drivers is just as important as kicking their asses!

Raced B yesterday evening 8-10pm, never had full room, usually 12-14.
I thought it could be FIA, but it never was like this.

I say this had to be up there with one of my best or thee best Sport Mode race ever. Super Duper fair racing by the other M4. Also, for the TT not blocking when it went off and rejoined, while I got a run on it.

All race, that M4 kept abusing the exit at the 'S' turn. It bit him with a penalty, on the penultimate lap.

I'm seeing too many dirty drivers on the Group 4 race. Every time I've raced on it, one of the drivers who bumps/dive bombs me tends to win the race, it's disgusting.

Thats just how it is now it seems... theres just no punishment for ramming someone from behind or the side. I got a reset simply from qualifying well and trying to make it around T1 nurb gp for a couple fun races...
Nope, people just do not care now and i didnt have one race out 5 or 6 where it doesnt matter if you're faster they just wont brake and push you off course get no penalty for it and you end up with big sr downs.
This always happens just as an fia season is about to start. I get pulled into sr <S hell and cant claw my way out of it before a reset back down to B.

Edit: So far its just been gr.4 that has been screwing me, (need a faster class on a track i actually know) and i normally dont even enjoy gr.4 but ever since the tire model it has become a much more compelling class to drive.

Nice overtake, but it would have made more sense to let the 4th guy through the bus stop chicane in the first place and overtake later in a safer manner. If damage was more realistic you would have been out of the race instead.

Because, I like Virgin Australia Supercars. Plus, the pirtek liveries in the series appeal more to me than in BTCC. Although, I didn't mind the one used on the BTCC Civic type R(Jordan?).

The Mustang have been working well for me at Interlagos. I switched from the Lexus and AMG after the tire model made them too hard to drive. I'm driving a 1.33.557 in qualifying time with my Mustang.
The upside with the weekly, is that you have time to work yourself in to the car you want to use. So I perhaps work on a good qualifying time the first few days and then at mid week I start racing.

Ran two races at Interlagos yesterday. Started both on pole with a 1:31.5 and finished second in both races. First race i got pushed out of the lead, second race i maintained the lead but had to coast off a 0.8 sec penalty on the line for a minor off track in T4. This had the guy in 2nd beat me by 0.019 on the finish.

Lost about 70 DR points coming 2nd twice
