Unlikely to happen, the whole point of Race A One Make was to keep everyone on the same settings, if you start adding personal cars
into the equation it opens up the tuning options so unless it's coded to disable any advantage from a garage car (i.e locked BOP)
it could make races biased to those who go for tuning/setup.

The idea would be to have the settings fixed just like race B and C. With personal cars you can run your own livery, and track wins with each car.

Yes I know but the problem from my programming experience looks to be that they haven't coded it for the two different
car types, i.e it can only be one make default car or one make garage they haven't made code to include both in the one
race type and given it's PD I suspect it might be beyond the current game to do both.

Time will tell if this is allowed with a future update. Hopefully it is!

Next week's races:
- N100 one make - Monza No Chicane - 3 laps, grid start with false start check
- gr.4 - Mount Panorama - 3 laps - Rolling start
- gr.3 - Tokyo Expressway East Outer Loop - 10 laps - Rolling start - Fuel x6, Tyre Wear x9

Oh great. Tokyo :scared:

I thought I'd still race at Maggiore today. Don't know if I'll risk it around Tokyo. I need to practice a bit and put some decent Q lap to avoid starting too far behind in the grid.

I have always avoided Tokyo in Sport Mode but ill give it a chance.

As much as I hate to admit it, whilst I'd never drive one in public, the 'stang is a bit of a Mad Max mobile... "last of the V8 interceptors..... very towy".
So you keep it on the race track eh? Lucky you :P

Look forward to seeing you and the rest of the aliens!

Found myself, again, in 2 races at Maggiore with you and the other quick guys yesterday, my usual last place start. Then found myself in a group of A/B/D drivers (presumably because my DR dropped) - interesting to see everybody driving quickly from the off, nobody went for no-stop strategy. I started 6th, finished 3rd, next race I was back in the room with the S and A+ group......

Ha ha very funny . Only against the AI and only if it was a series that specified it :yuck:.

Race C in the Atenza, and I just couldn't get it to work for me. Fine in quali, but couldn't get it to turn in .. the T1/T2 chicane was a nightmare, had to keep dropping to 1st to get round the second corner. Qualified P7 in a grid of 20 D/Ss.

Race starts. Then someone shouted "Contact!" and the driver behind me swore. We hooked in there for 8 laps, then a god almighty roar! There's me, in me helmet, steering wheel and racing suit. Brock help me, I was only P12.......

I was struggling the whole way and whilst I did have some clean racing, I also got mugged every time i backed off to avoid a collision, and then get orange SRs for getting rear ended. Apparently is is no longer the person behind you's responsibility not to hit you.

SR down to 96, DR down a few hundred. Another day above DR 1 .

I had this happen for side by side racing as well yesterday even though I could swear there was no contact between me and the other car but up pops the yellow SR symbol, I can only guess because the opponent was squeeling tires and had to lift off the game thought we had contact and
gave me the warning.

No racing until later tonight for me but I finally have a full weekend for video gaming so I have plenty of time to play later.

So close to greatness, although we already had GR.3 Panorama for race C. Sprint in GR.4 is both boring and another SR death trap. Still no N24 :(

Did you reboot in between disconnections? Once it happens the first time it keeps happening. At least the disconnects that send you straight back to the race select screen.

I see people disappearing every race when the room opens. I had 2 disconnects yesterday, today it's working fine. I'm on Wifi with an unstable isp and kids streaming all the time. I have no clue what's causing it.
After the third one, I did reset the system. Then I was able to race. Not everyone was so luck. It was race A and only 6 of us made it to the final starting grid. It's the fewest I've ever seen.

I am confused now following the post about next week's races as it shows the ones mentioned above but also the
following:

Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop for N100 on 23/9
Brands Hatch GP Circuit on 24/9 for Grp 3
Tsukuba Circuit on 23/09 for N200 One Make from Garage.

I am guessing these are the following week 24/9 to 30/9 races?
According to KP, it says the C race will be 17 laps around Tsukuba in an N200 one-make car. That sounds god-awful. :yuck:
Have they done one-make C races before? Actually, all six races for the next two weeks are labeled Race A. :odd:

Bought the 650. Supremely stable. Went 0.4seconds quicker than my qualy time in the Mustang. Nice car.

I think the best part of it is the interior and the cam in there!
I wish gts had interior cams like ac or pc2 where one can go closer to dashboard and have no wheel in cam.

Otherwise it's superb car, just a bit slow with certain tracks.

I remember racing a Cayman GT4 one-make C race at N24, and again at the same track with the Audi TT Gr. 3, and I did another one-make with the F1500T at Nurburgring GP.

There was a one make Race C for the BMW M3 at Tsukuba circuit which was a fuel map no stop style race in the end.

How does one beat no-stoppers without no-stopping? :D

Since yesterday when i want to start a race, i have some issues with the connection.. Who got this problem ?

Finally got the chance to play Sport Mode after 2 loooooong weeks at work. Decided to run Race C with the Cayman without qualifying (could only manage 2:08 in practice.) I was ranked B/A.

In the first race, I gained 7 positions from the back with no penalties, avoiding T1 carnage, short shifting a bit and keeping it tidy to build SR. Made it to SR S again or the first time in months.

In the second race, I made up 9 positions, but lost 1 SR point overall for getting a 2 second penalty when a crazy WRX tried to overtake in the S turns, bumping me from the side. Still hanging on to SR S at the end.

Wanted to keep up this good run, but the wife wanted a massage before bed, so had to end it there. Not a bad night.

Starting from the back is fun, I made up most of the places within the first 3 turns. Great way to build SR, though DR gain is negligible, because I’m never in contention for a podium.

Yesterday I tried to enter 3 races after 22h00 and I couldn't. I got to the screen where you see your opponents and then was kicked out before the warm up.

Was trying to get to 71K (it should be enough with 3 wins at 500 points each) but for some reason I was unable to do it. My connection was good, as it had been all day during the other races.

At least I wasn't kicked during the race... That would mean a huge DR loss.

Have either of you tried: Settings, Network settings, Clear cache?

No racing for me tonight. I'm off out for Scalextric and getting smashed :dopey:

Yep. Was kicked, cleaned the cache, waited for the next race (30min) to be kicked yet again. This happens 3 times.

I also had cleaned the cache when I booted my ps4 for the first time as well.

Why am I being disqualified?
I do not know since when this adjustment is in it, but it does cost the fun in GT Sport right now.

Looks unfair I didn't see what got you the 2 sec penalty at the beginning. Anyone can see you were staying cool and trying to race clean. If this is an accurate example of how you drive this penalty system will end up helping you more than hurting you.

Wonder why some people are getting this more than others. I've not had a disconnect since 1.13 update. It may catch me as I'm racing more lately though.

100 wins, but that penalty system is really unfair if someone touch you from the back you could be disqualified for no reason and you lose your rating too i'm tired of it... :banghead:

I'm usually pretty bad at fantasy tracks, due to lack of time and this being my first ps game ever... So this is the first week I see the reasoning behind weekly races (and I'm benefiting from it). Racing with nsx on Maggiore doing the no stop and trying to save my SR because everyone is bumping me for the first two laps...
No stop and nsx is not bad, had a couple of podiums, and I can make a bunch of places every race, but bumping really hurts..
