Makes sense. Where do we see the number of laps and all the other info for upcoming daily races?

It's all here, although all 3 are labeled race A atm.
https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/events.php

Alsace is the actual race A with standing start. N500 one make, any guesses?
Yamigawa II will be race B, rolling start.

It’s incredible how your SR can be tanked in three races because of how sensitive the penalty system is. My rating went from an S to a B with one race at the Nurb and two at Fuji. Does PD really hate good hard racing this much? A small touch on the side or from behind should not be a penalty, especially when a big hit in the same spots results in no penalty at all. I’ve been hit repeatedly from behind tonight and it has not only resulted in no penalty to the offending driver, but in some instances it has given a penalty to me. Likewise, I was given penalties because of small sideswipes coming out of turns because of a good hard fought battle between myself and someone else who was driving hard but clean. We both had penalties at the end because, apparently, hard racing is frowned upon and every small touch is an atrocity. Meanwhile, someone passed me on the Nurb tonight by not breaking at a turn and ghosting right through me.

I love the idea of a penalty system in theory because I love clean racing, and I think this current system has made for a better atmosphere overall. But the way this system was implemented has been awful. It’s like the game itself doesn’t even know what it wants and doesn’t want to be a penalty. It seems entirely random and subjective. I keep coming back to the daily races because I love some of the track and car combos, but stuff like this really hurts my drive to do it regularly.

It's anything but random or subjective, it's incredibly simple it its implementation.

- Any contact where both cars stay on the road usually results in SR Down for the car ahead, -2 SR per SR Down.
- Any contact where the other car goes off road or touches a wall gets you a time penalty, 1 to 5 sec and -2 to -10 SR.
This sometimes seems random due to inconsistent track limits between penalties and shortcuts. For example on Red Bull ring you can go wide at T1 without a shortcut penalty. However if there is contact the game considers it as off track and instead of just getting SR Down, the car ahead receives a time penalty as well.
The time you get seems to be related to the force of impact, not the result. If you hit someone really hard yet they get 'saved' by a wall, for example someone serving a penalty on the racing line on Tokyo and unghosting right in front of you, is 5 sec. If you hit someone just above the detection threshold and they go spinning in a sand pit losing tons of time, you get 1 sec.
- The consoles communicate penalties since the update that brought the actual time info for every car. That means when contact only occurred on one console due to lag, no time penalties are issued as the other console will say nothing happened. Of course one of you is still in the ditch. I have still received SR Down for a car lagging into me in the braking zone though. It seems to only negate time penalties.

Any contact is indeed frowned upon and it depends on the SR budget per race how fast you can fall or how long it take to get back. This week race B is only worth 5 points for a clean race, all sectors green. Getting tapped from behind twice is a neutral rating. One 3 sec penalty is red, which can be as simple as someone touching your rear bumper losing control and tapping a wall.

If you drive bad enough the game will indeed ghost you and not penalize you at all. This is rather stupid. It should at least give you SR Down when the game deems your driving dangerous enough to ghost you.
On the other side, if you 'sacrifice' yourself by going off road or touch a wall to avoid a dangerous driver you get slapped with an off track penalty or 5 sec wall penalty.... Follow the advise of the etiquette videos and you get penalized!

There have been tweaks in the last update as the car ahead doesn't always get SR Down anymore when bumped from behind in a corner. On the straights it still does.

Never experienced so much dirty driving in the sr S slots as this week. Unbelievable! This game is getting worse by the day. Clean racing is becoming very rare!

Funny how toughest track is stingiest with sr points. I mean, losing sr at this point is inevitable no matter what one does, except maybe starting pole and zooming off ahead.

I’ve done a 1.43.1 in the Atenza at race A today. Not bad. Then I looked at one of the top 10 replays....... absolute joke of a line!

Fuji is a FIA race track. The FIA want to be associated with the game. Put it together and Fuji should have FIA track limits!

We shouldn’t have to discover where the track limits are. There are white lines and kerbs!

I’m happy to ride kerbs and take a risk on a corner to get a few tenths by teasing the track limits. That’s part of finding the perfect qually lap.

At Fuji it’s like people are driving two completely different tracks, but the times are going on the same leaderboard.

Tried race A today. Overall clean racing.

But in 1 race I had an angry individual targeting me because I passed them on T1. They kept trying to run me off the track on the straights. Not just door to door nudging but steering into me so I had to go off road. I quit the race on lap 1.

Surprisingly only lost 5 SR and 400 DR points for that. I haven't quit a race in a long time. Last time I lost a lot more. So I was pretty happy about that. There's no sense in staying in a race like that.

Damn, I made a mistake. Thought I would do a couple races at night. Down to SR 83 after 2 races from the same idiot. First race he gives me a 4 sec penalty bouncing off me in an impossible move, costing me the win and 9 SR. Second race he punts another car into me for 2 sec, costing me the win again and another 8 SR. (Together with bumps from behind) That's at least 4 more races to get back to 99. Better start a pot of coffee.

Lol, now I lose DR for finishing 2nd, matchmaking...

Hmm, what do you do about a dirty driver that keeps getting matched with you. I made it back to SR 93, then he bounced off me again for a 5 sec penalty. Still managed to win, yet back to 87 SR.

It's a real piece of work. Swerving, brake checking, barge passing, penalty serve blocking. He's down to the lower ranks of SR.A yet matchmaking is filling up the room with A's... I blocked him on psn, reported every race, nothing matters...

Starting 3rd next. He's on second, another not too clean driver on pole. Perhaps they can take each other out.

Well, he pushed pole into the sand trap, then he crashed later. I passed him, however he twice made up a 2 sec gap as if their is a new grip bug. He's all over the place, going over the grass, not getting penalties. Either lag is making his car look completely out of control or something fishy is going on. He hit me another 5 times at the end, tried to bump pass, then bump me wide, then barge pass in the final turn. However he got 3 sec penalty for all that and then tried to block me while ghosted serving his penalty  PD stop matching me with this lunatic. I got a neutral rating, no progress.

Starting 4th next, behind the lunatic yet again. Now he can punt of 2 cars before bothering me. Correction, 2nd got booted after loading, why couldn't it be him!

He crashed early. Luckily that ghosted him so his blocking failed. Pole got away and finished 5 sec ahead. I got a whopping 24 DR points for 2nd place, however clean race bonus +5 SR to 92. Making progress. The lunatic is now down to SR.B, will that be enough...

Drum roll, starting third behind the B/B lunatic :banghead: Same driver as last time on pole. PD matching SR.B with SR.S is not cool.

He didn't crash! Sort off. He still got some track cut penalties and scraped along the wall at the start. I kept my distance and instead of scrubbing he chose to chase first instead. Suits me. He didn't catch first and scrubbed his penalties at the finish. I have no clue how that driving style can produce a 8:07 race time... Bouncing off kerbs, swerving through corners, half or full over the grass. Anyway clean race bonus for me, +5 SR again yet lost 22 DR for finishing 3rd. Need 2 more points to get back to 99.

Oh and this is the driver PD keeps matching me with:
7kWc.jpg

Thanks PD, really making my efforts to maintain 99 SR worthwhile  sigh

For my hopefully last race for tonight, starting 2nd, behind mr lunatic, in a room of 8, scratch that 7. He's still there of course.

Perhaps his high wore off as he was a bit more stable this race. He still bounced of kerbs, I stayed about 1.5 sec behind him which might have helped him stabilize his nerves as well. It paid off. A couple corners before the straight he took too much grass, got a penalty while I closed in on him. He choked and went wide 2 corners before the straight, then was too far behind to draft back up. A win with clean race bonus to end the night

Back to 99 SR and a whopping 89 DR points for that victory. All risk, no reward. I'm still 44 points short of where I was when I got disconnected at the start of the evening and lost 1618 points while in second place. Why do I suddenly care about DR, I'm 311 points away from A+

After finding the 911 GT3 too much of a handful early in the week I now seem to have come to grips with it.
Have been enjoying some great battles with various drivers and I must say I'm impressed with the level of driving.
Here's one of many good battles I've had today:

I had similar problems at the start of the week, struggling with the chronic understeer, but eventually got the hang of it! Was pleasantly surprised by how clean the racing was, and I managed podiums and even my first ever Nurburgring win :)

Daily Race B, 19:30 Room

Qualified 5th, finished 3rd. Could've beaten the Korean if not for the twitch exiting out of Pflanzgarten... At the beginning, two Japanese guys (one B/S, other one C/S) crashed into each other. Room itself is filled with B/S drivers, with one C/S, and two A/S drivers, including myself and race winner/polesitter.

It seems that when there's not enough players to fill current quota it will just match whatever there's left.
This seems to be like 100 times more common than it was when dailies were, well, dailies. Just not enough people bother racing.

I literally can't remember when I got into sr mixed room before, maybe 1 level above if I'm closer to higher rating, or below if I'm closer to lower rating, but never got into shishkebab like now.

That guy there seems to be quite familiar with DR resets :boggled::lol:

Daily Race A. My first ever Sport mode race in the full game. 2nd. In a McLaren. Miles behind the winning Megane.

Physics seemed different to qualifying. Is that normal?

Finally decided to play a bit of Sport with Daily A and started 7th with a Megane. Wow back pack just don't care at all on the space.
Instead of slowing down seeing there was some traffic on T1, decided to just book it and use me and a car as "wall" and somehow managed to cut the turn without getting penalty (luckily the victims didn't get penalty).
Regardless i managed to recover from last to 4th, many mistakes.
Only used Megane because i wanted to show off the livery, ended up well with also a clean bonus

Yeah I was yesterday playing a lot with the nissan, mclaren with overall good results but many times on the straight the meganes just pass and say goodbye, got some 1st place lost with that. Today I then tested racing with the Megane: still totally unfair, almost won all races or placed very well.
unfair Megane Gr4

My room only had me and the winner as Megane while there were 3 TT, 2 Veyrons, 1 Huracan, 1 Lancer and mclaren.

Man, the Dailies (weeklies) reset is literally at the worst time (Sunday @ Midnight) for people like myself, who can only squeeze in a couple hours on the weekend. By the time I get on I'm racing people who have been qualifying and running the event for 6/7 days.

Luckily I have a clutch and shifter so on race B I'm top 50 qualy after only 3 qualifying laps. It's crazy how big of a difference this shifter makes. You literally walk away from people. Not sure if I approve of forcing people to spend money to compete. But whatever.

They really nailed the intricacies of this Porsche. Lots of understeer unless you drive it correctly.

Hi there, I don't know where to post this but this is happening to me with Daily Races, I can qualify but when I'm going to enter in the actual race I'm back in the screen to choose what race do I want to enter. I can't race. I have a qualifying time in every Daily Race but I can't race. Does someone have the same problem?

Thanks.

Known bug for 1month++ that PD still hasn't addressed.

Restart the game. After that, you have to restart the game after every single completed race.

I hope you reported him every time. You should make a highlight reel.

Well, I finally did it. Proof that any monkey with a worn out DS4 and too much time on his hands can reach A+
7nWc.jpg

After 200K km driven, nearly 4500 sport races including over 400 wins.

I started without qualifying, qualified with 7:44 on Wednesday and updated it to 7:41 this morning for a steady climb with only 2 major set backs due to disconnects in the race. Poor matchmaking made it take a long time, starting from B/S on Monday.
DnWc.jpg

My best run from pole was a 8:07 flat, while drafting another player all race 8:05.8. Enough to carry me to A+ eventually.

I never left SR.S after the first day (briefly touched the 70's)
For once all the wins were at the highest safety rating, 54 in total.
1mREWpT.gif

Here comes the crazy part. I somehow managed to finish 177 races on Nordschleife in the past week. That's 25 a day :scared:. I have no clue how, I was home for a couple days and haven't slept much in a long time lol. So tired. I'm glad next week races suck!

That brings my stats for Nordschleife to 267 races completed in total with 61 wins, only beat by 65 wins on Monza (out of 298 races) However there were a lot of wins below SR.S on Monza. 46 pole positions on Nordschleife, most of all tracks, average finish position of 3.88, also best of all tracks.

I did briefly reach DR.S before on Monza and lost it the next day. First time in A+, sure, it's the same, A+ looks better :) I do not expect to keep A+ either. I'll be back to no qualifying runs soon, after a bit of a break. Can't resist a couple more Nord runs tonight though!

Best GT Sport week ever, due to the best track ever being on for all week! See you all out there some time

Wooohooo congrats Svenno!!!
Done the hardest way possible that deserves an Fia GT award on its own. You Da Boss.

Holy crap...the rating and penalty system is absurd. The amount of times I have been penalized for some moron to dive bomb me....its rage inducing.

I have a time of 7:45 on the nurb ring and I have won at least 50 races in a row. Why do I still have a skill and sportsmanship rating of B?? How many races do I need to win? O_O

Did they change the penalties in the last update? Seems it is much more strict again.
I went from DR 99 to B after a few race A battles.

I love how the 911 GT3 felt super heavy and flat footed compared to the up-on-its-toes and agile 300 ZX TT.

The real driving simulator.

Yeah the standard....man is it fun.
Didnt reset after a rest mode so got kicked on my second race. Cipher did I see you on the american server this morning? and you got disconnected?

Nope, I'm in school. My US PSN is Sigma_Cipher1 :)

Yeah, win #69; everyone's favourite number! Only taken me 626 races :scared:

This is the benefit of racing as soon as the new races of the week have just rolled over. 2 races, 2 poles, 2 wins and now I'm a nervous wreck! Even improved my DR by ~1000 which is a surprise!
