And why reverse Seaside?

I suspect it's not a person doing this but a bot.

I have heard it is actually a committee of 10-15 people that have a discussion around a big conference table for about a week in order to use mathematical models to decide ... :gtpflag:

Just think of the bug as a fat Porsche :D.[/QUOTE]

I washed my hands afterwards. Dirty piece of excrement that car is. It looks just...... just

A Porsche it is not lol.

Did it. First time ever in the top 10. Old guys can race too

I haven't bothered touching my 1:36:636 lap time in Gr.3 because i don't have enough consistency with my lap times and can end up in a bit of a disaster if i manage to place myself high. Luckily that time is pretty bad for my DrB\SR S rooms as i tend to start back pack.

Finally managed to do full 5 laps without spinning or bumping into anyone and getting it clean, from 14th to 5th with the SLS AMG GT3 (I felt using since i i read some history of that car), i'm satisfied!

Did two Race Bs in the 05:10 and 05:30 rooms. Gotten myself a pole position on both races using my 1:33.436 time set in a Beetle. In the 05:10 room, I used an FT-1, while in the 05:30 room, I used the AMG GT3. Both races end in a pole-to-win for me.

I read several players on this forum have had a bad experience with Race B. I have to report the opposite. I have gained 6,000 DR over the week and went from SR 60 to 99.👍
So how is this possible ? Well, one of the keys I noted is to get a second or more in front of anyone before you get to the S chicane on the first lap and ALSO try and not get too close to the guy in front as you go trough it .... I've been starting in the field between 4-7 and with drivers with SR A and B and DR A or B. Once the field starts to stretch out a bit, then it gets easier to avoid a punt.
(Thanks to @Mr616 @zzz_pt @Alpha Cipher I have managed to get my qualifying time down to 1:35.223 )

Below is a nice clean battle with a driver for ELITE team in Brazil.
I'm starting from 4th place ....

UPDATE: Today I started 12th and got punted hard in the hairpin ! I looked at the replay and he completely missed the braking point and used me instead 🤬
I guess that at least solidify my theory that a start up in the field will help ....;)

sorry pal but at min 1.50 at first chicane it seems that you brake sooo late that collision was unavoidable, there is room there you should turn close to the kerb and stay on the inside, leaving him enough space on the outside. I've done some nice battle there tonight, if both are fair two cars can turn together there.

Is pole farming a thing? I have always wondered about that because I watch race replays and see drivers that qualified in front of me and they drive awful and their whole dash blinks like an Xmas because they use every aid available. I dont see how anyone can be fast with ASM.

What is pole farming and how do I view other people's replays? Both dumb questions I'm sure but I'm really new to online racing

Pole farming is where you set a ridiculously fast time to start yourself really high up the grid, usually results in a guaranteed pole position.

You can check out the Top 10 replays by clicking on the one that has an orange play button right next to their time, and then you can either just watch the replay or download the replay for future reference.

Gotcha. So just so I got this correct.....you can only view the qualifying replays from the top 10 guys on a track or your own race replay? You can't view the replay of someone you just raced against?

Only the Top 10 replays, plus the occassional replay of yours and non-Top 10 drivers if the replay is saved. Some Top 10 guys didn't even save their replay!

Lol wtf are you talking about? That's not pole farming... that's called qualifying. Literally everyone tries to set the fastest time they can. Why would you not try to get pole position?

If you want to term "pole farming" as a thing, it would be intentionally lowering your SR so you're more likely to get poles/wins against lesser racers.

Oh boy, I've created a monster with my pole farming term .

Seriously, though, as others have stated qualifying is qualifying, period.

That said, what I mean by pole farming is when you are not an exceptionally fast driver but you happen to click with a certain Daily car/track combo. Sometimes it clicks so well for you that you're able to beat not only your DR peers, but also those who are thousands of DR points above you. So basically you just keep entering races and you're spamming pole positions.

It's all legit. If you put in a good time, great job and enjoy it. My "pole farming" term occurred to me because it's not easy to be a frontrunner no matter what your DR is and when things just click it's easy to keep doing race after race and farm poles. And if you can back up your qualy time with consistent fast pace in-race as well you'll probably end up farming wins, too.

I try my best to win but have messed up a few

I never called it pole farming but I try to do exactly that whenever I see Lake Maggiore on the list of Daily Races (especially Race C). Not to collect poles, but to collect "easier" wins and faster DR points. Since it's my fav track, I do "farm" a bit more over there. I've raced on a lot of different tracks and I think I get poles and wins 50% of the time. In 212 races, I got 117 poles, 97 wins and 173 top 5 finishes.

I don't race as much as I'd like mainly because of the combos I see though. It's rare for me to see a combo I really enjoy, even if I go and put in a Q lap fast enough to give me a pole or front row start. It doesn't help that in the last 2 weeks, I got kicked out of lobbies a bunch of times too. That just makes me not even bother with Sport Mode races.

So dizzy my head is spinning..... yeh, I did Race B and Race C tonight. Race B up first. I qualified a hair faster with the Auto Union product, and started P9/13 on a mixed grid of DR/B, C and D.

All in all it seemed fairly clean, and I did have some good battles. There was one guy who was right on my heals, but just couldn't get past me. I'd open up a small gap and he'd close it. Finally I went a bit wide and he was able to make a clean pass. I'm still irritated by the difference in handling between qualifying and the race. The new tyre model isn't giving me any cause to celebrate either . I've been hating it since the update . I only recall seeing one orange SR during the race, yet finished with a neutral SR. Finished P6, which upped my DR 300.

Entered Race B again, did some more qually laps and beat my time, which would have had me starting P6. Yeh... freakin bug :yuck:! After restarting the game, Race B wasn't open for business, but Race C was. I started P12/14 on a mixed grid of well.. just about everything!

The race was chaos. At one stage I was up to P8, till I was knocked into the sand and dropped to P14. I got rammed a few times and each time got an orange SR for the privileged . The whole getting slammed up the rear in the braking zone and getting an SR down is really beginning to wear thin :banghead:. I finished P11, but really wanted to finish P10 just so I beat the 🤬 who came from behind and decided that he was the only one on the track. I'm coming to the conclusion that my fellow countrymen in the lower SR groups are the dirtiest drivers in Asia. The lower SR ranks is also where I seem to be finding most of them .

Dropped 100 DR and gained 6 SR. Another 18 to go :odd:. Another day above DR 1 :boggled:.

Something i didn't pay atention after my draft bump race BMB that low my SR from S to B , is the big lost of DR in one unique race , even with a win.
I went from 54390 DR to 40000 DR = A on Kudos , but still S on my profile, even if i do a good performance top 50 in nations or / and manufacturers , perhaps my S DR will not be maintained after this round. Let's see !!
SO DON'T DO DRAFT BUMPING !!

As soon as they let me pick the races, here's what you're gonna see:

LOW-GRIP RACING

'67 Chevy Nova - Interlagos
Gr.B - Fishermans Ranch
Gr.1 - Circuit de la Sarthe ~ It will be raining!
That, my friend, will be the death of is all
