If anyone wanted to do a fast qualifying time for Race B, I suggest anyone to use the RCZ Gr.3 as it's a good alternative to the 911 RSR. I did a 1:39.684 with it

So why will they lend you a car for Race A but not for a Race C? I’m not buying the Red Bull car just to donate DR points to people lol. I would have liked to try the track though in QT’s.
:cheers::cheers::gtpflag::gtpflag: yeah right.....

I seem to be one of a few that enjoys the reverse layout. I do prefer the 'normal' way around but I like this version too. The only corner I really struggle with is the hairpin after the chicane as the braking zone is on a curve and I just cannot handle that!

I've had a couple of great races here but my last one went badly when some sap caused havoc the first time through the chicane. Unfortunately that sap was me ..... :guilty: I put myself to the back in shame but the damage to A LOT of peoples races was done.

I like the reverse too, the bus stop seems easier to get through, probably the angles I guess. I was struggling in the pig so tried the Supra GT3 and it was much better, doesn't slide about as much. I've managed a 1:40.567, of course that's not enough when the game insists on matchmaking me with A and S drivers :grumpy: (I'm DR B)

Race A has traditionally been a one make with car provided. One makes for Race B and C are usually garage cars. The Red Bull Sr isn't such a waste, because this is the second Race C to feature it. There will no doubt be more. If you are interested in finishing all the offline races you need it for that too. It's a fun car to drive. I've found this weeks Race C less of an SR killer than the one ran at Red Bull Ring 👍.

I've been using the Corvette as I find it much more stable than the 911. I'll give the Supra and the RCZ a go as I haven't got below 1:41 yet (also DR B).

Sheesh, fast pace on b.
I’m setting my mind to this. The Supra is a beast with the bop bump, but I’ve only gone sub 41 in time trials. My 41.3 is 3 seconds slow currently.
I definitely prefer the track the other way, but this ones ok too.
I dunno if I feel like buying the Red Bull, plus I have no experience on there...
Good luck out there...

Just thought I’d throw something out there, I found more speed in Race A qualy by using 1st gear for the hairpins and 2nd for the final corner. It allowed me to be a little more aggressive on entry.

Is it just me or has Sport mode gone very toxic the last few weeks? Been doing a few race C's today and everyone is driving like lunatics. It's hopeless when you get spun around or reset. The rear tyres are gone after one incident and the rest of the race the car drives like a Yellowbird. Gone from sr 99 to 67 and lost almost 3000 dr points in three races. Ugh...

Starting to feel like GTA V online with griefers and try hards, even in the top lobbies.

Key for me on Race A has been the final turn.

I ease up while straight, "swing" the back out, lightly accelerate out.

I use the safe approach, 110 km/m I stay on tarmac. 120 km/h puts me in to the dirt. A brave driver could get a lot out of that turn in this car.

Hitting people off gets you like a two or three second penalty now, it's no wonder people are starting to driver dirtier. No way I'm doing race C this week it's just asking for idiots who'll smash into everything in sight.

The sooner the penalty zones come to the weekly races the better.

Only did one race c so far and it was alright. Except for some Argentinian driver who liked to play dirty and caused me to get a bs penalty and lose SR. Luckily karma bit him in the ass and he spun out and finished near the back.

The penalties for cutting a bit of the track seem pretty harsh lol. The think the leader said he got a 42 second penalty or something. He dropped to third after serving it.

I have one question, reason.. I honestly don't understand how this racing schedules and penalty systems can be created in such a messy way. I just wonder ____ "what is the reason for this as its seriously unfair to the community?"

I was in your race just now, please ignore my erm... embarrassing lap 1 incident. 🤬

I was fighting with the American driver towards the end and he hits my car going into the corner before Indianapolis and then slows down intentionally, giving me a 🤬 two second penalty.

Is it just me, or is close racing a lot easier now after 1.29? Less unintentional bumbs and if bumbs happen they have less conseqences in a good way.

Here is a good example from yesterday. I could have been a gentleman on last straight, but i was too hungry for the win.:O:lol:

13 seems to be my lucky number:cheers:

Great drive in the Stang, enjoyed that video very much

There's a new glitch with the rolling start. I was in P2, race C, waiting for auto drive to start but to my surprise the countdown started with all the cars stationary. And when the countdown finished all the cars were released like in a regular grid start!?!?

I also discovered that it's impossible to upshift with a trailing throttle (red bull standard).

Bring back harsh penalties and let people cry about them. I never had a problem with them.

I sound like a broken record but driving standards even at higher levels is awful. People desperate to not lose position and kill anybody in front of them. I now race later in the evening because early evening and weekend daytime is suicide.

This is why world fia events should be showing the community what is expected. Not being lenient with the best in the world and letting certain players dive bomb for fun.

PD.Throw the book at the idiots please.. I'm close to begging

It's 12PM here atm, there's too much disparity in pace between players for race c at this time of day for me. Just did another race, started 2nd. Me and the guy in pole position were in the 2:56s while 3rd was in the 3:01s. There's too little to gain and too much to lose for me to keep racing right now. I'll try again tonight.

I wish I could race with europeans in sport mode with my main account. Then this wouldn't be a problem.

If it isn't for the looks, don't "swing" your back out .

Seriously, you're right - there's a lot of time to be gained there. You should be quicker though, if you turn as smooth as possible ... don't unsettle the car.

Tried 911, WRX, corvette, viper, vantage plus a few others, but just couldn't better 1:40.418 - optimal was only a few tenths better. May do some more testing but not racing GR3 here.
How are you guys are coming up with your optimal times? Is it a judgment call or are you finding this info from one of our many GTS tools?

I'll be sticking with Race B this week as I climb back up to A+. I started with the viper and was able to do a 1:40.0 with it but I switched to the Renault RS01 and its been a blast. My pace in that car is consistent and sub 1:40.

I do want to try to break the 1:39 barrier before the end of the cycle. I'm not sure the Renault is the car for that goal, but it sure is a fun car to drive.

I've seen this twice before a long time ago, can't remember where. It's similar to the one at Interlagos where you start rolling back down the hill.

I have no idea what causes it but it must be a network conflict somewhere since it's very rare.

In qualifying, if you used your split times instead of radar, you will see your sector times with an optimal best shown at the very bottom.

If you are in the qualifying menu page (after you do a few runs) go to session results next to replay in the top left corner. This will show your laps with best sectors in green, and will also show your optimum lap time in black under all of your listed times in that session.

I like the reverse too, the bus stop seems easier to get through, probably the angles I guess.

The short run to the next slow corner makes the exit less crucial, and the exit in reverse is more open. Going in reverse you pick your angle and see the tightest corner up front, but normal way round you have to get the right line with the tighter exit blind. I find it way easier in reverse.

When you have completed your test laps, your are presented with a list of your lap times. If you look at the bottom lines of sector times, it has your optimal time. If you best time is close to your optimal time, then there may not be much more room for improvement. If on the other hand, there is a big difference then you need to keep trying to get that special lap.

Stang is not the fastest there on single lap, but its pretty easy to put down consistent fast laps even with others bumbing on traffic. Stang doesnt seem to care if theres something a bit off.. :cheers:RSRs seem to loose it if they are event slightly off the optimal line.

The Pony also seems to handle a bit of rough ride over kerbs without losing it.

Been running with the ford since vanilla. In beta i drove 458, but it was such a difficult pony for a long time I found my self driving Tangs.
