Done daily race a, was the only one that interested me, with the rx-7. I don’t care for reverse dragon trail as much as the regular variant and I don’t have the regular x2014, so there we are.
Got some good results, and also got two wins out of it.
I like Tsukuba too. Always a fun track.
Don’t think I’ll do a lot more though.

I went to Dragon Tail and it was the wrong way around from when I drove it in the learning circuits thing. So being of high intelligence, I did three laps before a race in the qualifying mode, but could not escape from the qualifying mode, not sure why or maybe I mucked it up. So I ended up in the starting sequence point and then I could escape. At least I found out that my 1:45 isn't going to cut it - it looks like I'll need a 1:42 or so, there were 1:40s there ... so I got out, and then found out my manners rating has gone down from 99 to 93 I think ... and I lost 900 points off my driving rating. Sheesh I guess it counts as another Did Not Finish. Sony loves giving me that award ... There were only 12 cars in the line up too, so I did not hurt anybody. Boy ... and I reckon when I start racing things are going to go downhill further.

SR killer. Race C. Get rear ended by a clown, 5 second penalty and A+/S drops to a A/B. DR reset from 60K to 40k.........

Getting rear ended once won’t decrease your SR by 30 points.

True. I was coming off of a a previous race full of heathens. My SR was a low S before my doomed race. I was on pole and spun at the Porsche curves hitting a wall which gave me a 5 sec penalty then was rear ended later in that race getting which gave me another penalty.

Then my DR reset.

Ran a few Race Bs with the no-quali acct. Enjoying the fast downhill section and drifting around the left hander before the hill but rest of the track is a bit meh.

The chicane is satisfying when done right but can be a bit of a lottery when it comes to avoiding the carnage ahead.

@GA 52

Here's my 2.26.5xx

WOW! FAB mate - you guy's are FAST! Great to watch. Thanks for sharing Mr616! Cheers

Tried a few cars round seaside reverse but couldn't really nail anything special, so I'm going to take the week off. Such a shame after a really good week last week on Kyoto! !!
Which cars did you try out Arcflyer? I have tried the Alpha and the FordGT. So far I got the GT around 3 sec. quicker?? :) Cheers on you vacation from the races this week. I tried the RX7 in race C - nope, not for me and race C is not really to my liking either. It's not for slower ol' bones :) hehe. By the way tried a little more today but can't get the speed up. :( . I think I stay back filling up my bank account with some Euro (credits) this week (GT-League). No racing here. Cheers.:cheers:

Is it just me, or is close racing a lot easier now after 1.29? Less unintentional bumbs and if bumbs happen they have less conseqences in a good way.

Here is a good example from yesterday. I could have been a gentleman on last straight, but i was too hungry for the win.:O:lol:

13 seems to be my lucky number:cheers:

Did some qually and knocked out a 2.54.9 good enough for 3rd in asia/pacific atm!
Good to see you in a race! I was "only" 6 seconds off your pole lap and "only" 19 seconds behind you at the end :scared:

My race was rather quiet. Started P6 and due to mistakes by other drivers, climbed to P3 by the 5th lap only a couple of seconds P2. Unfortunately for P2, he got one of those terrible 29 second penalties for cutting the inside of the Porsche curves, therefore handing me P2.

The X2014 is too fast for me and I find the huge speed and downforce kind of makes the car/track combo a bit arcade-like, but it's still a huge challenge to master. As much as I like Le Mans, they've already had it twice in the weekly C rotation already. I'm pretty sure Fuji, Red Bull Ring, Bathurst have also been twice as a Weekly C, but tracks like Monza, Dragon Trail, Interlagos, Alsace (plus many others) haven't featured as a Weekly race C. Oh and St Croix; I think was the first ever weekly C race, but have never seen it since?

Man, race A and B are gonna be tough this week, spent the evening doing hot laps with not much to show for it so far. Best I could muster was 1:05.658 in the RX7 on Race A and 1:42.051 in the 911 on Race B, I didn’t do well enough on either track do an actual race yet, as of now I’d just be gifting people DR points. The RX 7 is basically like driving around on a skating rink and the Porsche is squirrelly as hell, I had to run TCS2 just to make it around without spinning out. It’s gonna be a tough week.

It's a lousy track. I started with a SR S rating and after 3 races being nudged, rammed and bumped, I'm down to a B

First time I've had a go at Seaside II and my god it has no flow to it whatsoever!! Such a clunky track if you know what I mean, much prefer the original. Chicane is still as sweaty as ever though

I spent half an hour lapping yesterday in the VW GTI and didn't feel confident enough to race so called it a night at 1:41:200, however I've got optimum of 1:40 so will be back at it again tonight.

I seem to be one of a few that enjoys the reverse layout. I do prefer the 'normal' way around but I like this version too. The only corner I really struggle with is the hairpin after the chicane as the braking zone is on a curve and I just cannot handle that!

I've had a couple of great races here but my last one went badly when some sap caused havoc the first time through the chicane. Unfortunately that sap was me ..... :guilty: I put myself to the back in shame but the damage to A LOT of peoples races was done.

I tried the RX-7 a little bit, on my third lap I got a 1:05.029 but since then I can't even get close to that lap time anymore. I'm not sure what happened. :D

I managed a 42.5 but that's still not enough. S drivers just walk away from you at that pace.

It reminded me of the RX7 in the original Gran Turismo, that one was slidey as hell too 👍

Yeh I was last on the grid but I thought if you pulled out before starting I'd not cop a penalty. I am 41.8 something now though and am ready to race I guess. Until last week I would learn the track by racing, but that was hurting my points and it wasn't fun. My points would spike right now, I'd loose manner points too and then I'd end up in a pack of Hyenas on manner points of E, D and C. They'd hit me and down would go my manner points. So now i am not going to race until I think I won't be smashed up. I have no problems finishing way back though, but I'd rather it be because I am slow rather than someone punting me and then I loose points because of someone else. I don't like that much at all.

I have driven the Porsche a lot and its becoming instinctive with that car. I still don't understand this track but racing I might learn something. I may race with TC on too - I was going to do 15 qualifying laps in the Porsche after trying several other cars - the plan for the 911 qualifying and track learning was TC off for 5 laps, then TC on 1 for 5 more laps, then TC on 2 and by the 13th I thought I'd be ready to go for it on TC-2. . But I got the time on my third lap without TC and then I ran one more and stopped. If find the Porsche un believable accurate in those curvy bits which follow the left turn after the main straight. But then maybe I am just very used to the car. I could hardly drive the thing 4 weeks ago.

If I race with TC on and get some space behind me I might turn it off and see what its like turned off at this race. Lately I have been fastest in the Porsche with TC on 2 so who knows it might work well for me with TC on 2 for the first time in the race?

My big concern is I haven't worked out several of the important corners which come after the fast parts of the track ... so I reckon I'll get eaten alive until I get them right because those are overtaking spots.

Tried 911, WRX, corvette, viper, vantage plus a few others, but just couldn't better 1:40.418 - optimal was only a few tenths better. May do some more testing but not racing GR3 here.

Second night at Cirque du Soleil. I was expecting not many in my class given the speed of the vehicle and the price tag. I was right. The matching was even worse, so I can only assume there just wasn't many players interested in Race C. I was also expecting faster times from everyone since they have had time to get used to the track/car combo. Last nights qualifying time would have had me starting P13/15. I knew i had more in me since during last nights race I was putting in faster times. 3 qualy laps tonight and 3s shaved off my time from last night put me in P7 👍. Was pretty surprised with that considering there were only 4 of us DR/Ds. We had a grid with every DR except E.

I hate where auto drive dumps you if you are below P5, but I managed to get through, but lost speed on the exit of the chicane. I kinda figured that my position would drop eventually from better race craft of the other drivers. First position lost on the strait before the first of the two chicanes. I was fairly incident free and holding position till lap 3 where i was rear ended twice braking for chicanes and getting the orange card for my troubles, as well as knocked off. Luckily I didn't find the sand and didn't get a penalty for track limits .

Lost another couple of positions when I went wide on the exit to the last chicane and found the sand at the beginning of the start/finish strait. I managed to gain a couple of positions back. The tyre wear didn't seem to be as noticeable as it was last night. I never felt like I was going to slide off. I did get a heck of a scare when someone decided to serve a penalty on Mulsanne and I didn't see them because they were in the shade. Messed up my timing for the chicane. I stayed on track, but lost a couple of seconds trying to gather the car up and get going again.

Last lap and I was so close to the 3 cars in front of me. The car in front had a penalty, I was just about to cross the line, when the bloody race timed out and his penalty didn't count to my position :nervous:. I finished P10 and one of very few in the race with no red dot :scared:.

SR back up to 99, and because of the number of higher ranked players, still managed to gain nearly 60 DR. So far I'm having a better time of it than last weeks Race C. Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

Me too, do some more tests tomorrow. No racing. Trying to keep some of my Sr/Dr. safe in the "bank"..... ;)
