Jeee, I made it!

With all that stress, but somehow I prefer to be better when hunting....

Thanks for watching and support, it's easier than!

Keep cool and race as per your qualifying laps.. you got a couple very close so you know your lines :)

Unlucky... but this is a good race now with you top 3.

You've got the guy in the M4, for sure!

Well done

Uh oh... two wide into the chicane

going for a late pit... good tactic.

Literally everyone else has pitted!

20 second lead into the pit...

Comes out 1.3seconds ahead and with fresher tyres than the pack 👍 got to be a win.

6 second lap with 2 laps to go

Crash behind! Lead extended to 13 seconds with just over 1 lap to play

Up to 15 seconds by T2.... fresher tyres making the difference

Over the line with a 15 second lead :gtpflag:

5th win - congratulations

Now I see there was full race commentary, fantastic, thanks!

When I had to go easier with lead, I was chasing times - like Vettel :D

Almost in DR B

👍 it was a good race. I thought you'd ****ed it after braking too late for the turn before the chicane on lap 1, but you got yourself back together and then won it with a late pit strategy.

Just did two dragon's races, managed to qualify with 1.46.5xx on the Vantage, started the first race 2nd and finished 6th, for the second race started 4th and finished 15th after someone sent me off the track and then crashing on the fast chicane... At least was able to set FL 1.46.069.

I'll give it another try after work.

Did you race against @zaxs? He had a very similar qualifying time

but you got yourself back together and then won it with a late pit strategy.

To be very honest, there wasn't any strategy, I'm pitting when red warning starts to blinking

It was my 18th race overall, for now, only strategy is to push hard, but fair...

But I would always prefer to stay as long as possible and then maximum pace with fresh tires.

Oh

Well, good tactic anyway... most go in at 5 as the tyres start slipping but you held it together nicely on lap 6.

Personally on gr. 4 10 lappers, I use the Huracan and either pit late or not at all. The 4wd means you get good traction even when the tyres are shot.

You could have pushed the Huracan harder when you were doing your Q trials earlier... you don't have to pay it as much respect as the 458.

Edit: 5 wins in 18 is good... you are better than your rating, evidently.

Not ready to jump on the Vantage bandwagon just yet! :gtpflag:

Who thinks the 911 needs a nerf?

I know that in theory every track has a car that suit it a bit better but everyone drives this car in every track, its not cool to see the 911 dominating like this.

It's easy to drive fast, but not the fastest. People use it because they are to scared to try something else.

If it got another nerf, it would never get used at all imo. Don't concern yourself with others. Use a car that you want to use.

I am struggling on race c - for a start, I have no idea how anybody can drive the Atenza quickly, it understeers all over the shop even with brake balance set to 5. Secondly, even in the M4 I am way off the pace. Current time is 1:45.846 and I think I could get down to .5xx but top ten is currently all comfortably under 45s..... Hard day ahead

I'm actually gonna disagree a bit. I feel like the 911 is pretty difficult to drive on the limit. It's difficult for me at least to keep the rear tidy when I'm really pushing because of all that weight back there. But mastering that is very rewarding because it turns in so well and allows you to really rotate the car.

I can't drive it without TCS on 2

Edit: welcome, parkman :gtpflag:

Do not over steer the car. I find it has good traction without tcs but you mustn't put the power down until you've opened up the steering on corner exit.

Try doing about 10-15 minutes with the Ferrari GT3, then go back to the Porsche and it will feel like easy mode :)

Edit: Ignore me. you're SS and quicker than me lol. Don't take my advice!

I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but I struggled at first in the 1:45s too, but I just focused on getting my corner speeds up during the races and then went back to qualify and it seemed to help. Trail braking really helps with corner speed, after initial braking just *lightly* breathe on the brake pedal all the way up until the apex and then smoothly/progressively apply the throttle as the weight shifts backwards.

Hehe, that's what I mean! I agree, getting the power down with even the tiniest steering angles without TCS on that car is very hard.(but imo, necessary to be really right on the edge) The 911 just has such peaky power delivery. Like 6000rpm or whatever it just turns into some angry monster. But---it really, really goes when you get it right! Fun car. But yeah, not something I enjoy going around the Nordschleife in tbh.

I can't drive it without TCS on 2

Hey thanks! I've been a long time reader but recently made an account. Thanks for the warm welcome

Just watched @mcsqueegy pull off a convincing win at Dragon Trail. Watched him put up a good fight for first place in the first stint before pitting, then saw him drift off into the distance. I almost got a GTP 1-2, but messed up the final corner.

Oh that was you fighting for 2nd/3rd? I'm pretty useless with knowing any GTP users online so sorry I didn't say hello

Thought I'd never see the day (or at least within a year) but I'm starting to drift off sport mode and ending up going back to AC, PC2, Dirt and WRC7 on PC lately. Guess I'll give it a go with the GT-R Gr4 on Dragon Tail for a change tonight.

That was me! No worries, man. I wouldn’t expect you to recognise me, before GTS I rarely engaged in this part of the GTP community.

I’ve only just (after months of driving this car) worked out that it’s possible to take the bus stop chicane at Dragon Trail flat out with the Viper Gr.4 while setting some qualifying laps. Scary as hell, but at the same time makes the section easier providing I get the angle just right. Great fun.

You can take that chicane flat out in the Bugatti VGT, if you have balls of steel, I managed it once or twice but most times.... BANG!

I ll try Dragon Trail today, first Q's maybe until daily workout, then race, I guess...

I just average DS4 driver, but if you interested, stream is now live:

Someday, I'll get that victory screen. I'm still winless in spite of participating in nearly 280 races.

I don't think I've quite got it yet and I've got multiple laps around the 45s with a best just in the 44s but it still doesn't feel quite right for some reason, even when it's quicker than I managed in the Viper (late 45.1 in that). It's not as easy as you think to keep on the road either, as you may have seen. The understeer is a nuisance.

It also eats fuel when you rev it right up which seems to be the way to go quick, that and maintaining good corner speed as previously suggested. I and the entire field then just got owned by a non-stopping M4, which you can shift very early without much speed loss, how he carried on driving without crashing with wrecked tyres was very impressive though. I struggle with good tyres, the grip seems to disappear at this track for me for some reason and I even bump the barrier before the chicane, nevermind in it.

Timing is everything with exiting that bus stop at full throttle, I can do it only a handful of times without clipping the corner of the wall.

Are the wins counting for you?

I won my 24th race yesterday on Nurburgring and today also it showed 24th win only when i won 1 today at Yamagiwa.

Only thing that happened was when i won 24th yesterday,i got into another race and just before start lights went out so ps4 switched off.

Is that the reason?

Must be the disconnection I presume.
