Wow, that’s so weird.
Never had sr depleted in qualifying like that.
I suppose you would know, but you sure it was the qualifying that did it, and not a previous race that you haven’t noticed?
I don't think so. I am usually a very clean racer, a bit on the slow side maybe, But I stay on track and don't get into wrecks. I had been D S and was working on getting my D up.

I am probably the only person that didn't know this, but I was driving poorly during the end of a qualification session, crashing into everything, driving backwards, just killing time. At the end of the qualification session my SR rating had dropped from S to B, due to my messing around and driving like a jerk. I didn't realize that this kind of behavior in the Q sessions was reflected in SR. Guess I know better now. Expensive lesson.

???????????????????????????????????
Are you sure that maybe you did not enter a race and maybe everybody was invisible to you?? You SR should only be affected by how you drive against other drivers. Something sounds fishy there.:eek::eek::eek:

Hah, getting your d up! As in, yeah.
Anyways, I have nothing. I’m clueless

I thought it was just something that everyone else knew not to do. You would have to have a really bad race to drop that much SR . I'm not interested in trying it again to see if I can repeat my experience, once was enough for me. I couldn't believe that it happened either. It does seem really fishy. It was during qualifying and no other car was on the track, as is typical in the daily race qualifying. I wouldn't have driven like that if there was any chance of messing up someone elses Q time.

Are you getting confused with warm-up?

I can't reproduce that on race B. Hit every wall, took every short cut, still SR.S. I did get an SR Down in one race in the daily B for hitting the wall at the Dipper which I found odd. Same way you get SR Down for hitting the pit wall in a race. Couldn't reproduce it in qualifying though.

I think you got it right first time but if anyone wants to experiment with mad combos like H7/M6 or M7/S6 I don't think it would be faster but I would be interested.
Now that you mention it, I did actually run into someone today who one-stopped on Softs! His tires were completely gone by the end of lap 7. He did manage to finish second though, while I basically cruised to victory about 10 seconds up the road. Absolute mad lad.

I tried a couple more daily C races on Fuji. I am getting better, I'm also getting very bored of the track and racing there. The spread is so bad with matchmaking nowadays that for most of the race I have a 10+ sec gap to the car ahead and behind. Last race I finished 8th, or nearly finished 8th as I still got timed out right before the finish. My best lap a 1:33.8 is no match, plus I keep losing concentration when basically driving alone on the track. Picked the wrong tires as well again lol.

Race B is infinitely more fun and I'm starting to pick up more places in the Mustang. I still feel like going back to the Huracan as the better choice, maybe later. Race B is harsh on SR though. Get tapped twice in the back by a car not braking in time, 2x SR Down is red S.

Thanks to Fuji I now sunk below 20K DR, from 36k last week before the disconnects started happening. Still at 99 SR at least. Matchmaking is still the same, A+ to D, mostly lower DR, rarely full rooms, be glad when it's all SR.S.

Race C is a tough race, because I struggle with tyre management. It's incredibly difficult to balance the throttle, steering and brake in a car soo volatile when the tyres are worn right through. I only did the race twice but I was buggered, due to the amount of concentration required. Both my arms got a real workout; that's how hard it is. My best result was third, starting on the mediums and finishing on the softs. But I was a long way from the leader, probably 20 seconds or so. I just couldn't find any pace at all.

Yes! At first I thought it would be good for my "racing from the back" strategy, however matchmaking keeps filling rooms up with lower SR, down to SR.E in the off hours. Besides that, there are so many lower DR drivers to pass now, I'm slowed down so much in the first few laps that I can never hope to catch the DR.A or DR.A+ on pole. Especially not in a 3 lap race on Mount Panorama.

I'm in the opposite situation. I'm one of those slower erratic drivers (DR/D) you complain about :p, but the grid is primarily made up of DR/A and B. It's harder to finish any higher than where you start, and then if you get fast drivers like you starting from the back, you finish even lower than you started and the points start haemorrhaging. Everyone is so much faster than you that there isn't anyone to race.

I'm going to try the Mustang next, still refusing to join the Megane crowd.

Might be a bit differnt at the pointy end, but as much as I hate to admit it (being Ford and all), I found the Mustang really stable and so easy to get round the track and not come off. The M4 was more of a handful.

Effing Penalties..... :(

Hmmm, tried to farm sr in race a. I don’t recommend it. Seems so simple...
I’m just gonna keep running the mountain.
I did 2 a races in the first I gained one sr. The second I lost 2 by the inexperienced guy behind pinballing me under braking for the orange arrow! Net down 1500 dr and sr at 87.
At this point I am gonna run the mountain best I can and see what happens.
Starting tomorrow lol. I honestly feel safer there than on la Sarthe which I don’t know, and Fuji...
I don’t get along with Fuji.
This run of bad luck for me stops tomorrow.
I guess sr s ends at 85? Anyone know?

It goes down to 80, and I think A goes down to 65.

I raced with you today, I knew the name sounded familiar, it might have actually been in that race. Congratulations on the 91 Wins! :D
Yeah I saw you. ;)
It was the same race we were in, yes.
Woomy
Thanks. I think I’ll relax with some Black Ops.

Cool stuff man, it’s always cool to race with someone from here. You were fast!! Great race. :)

So close, I want that sub 4:40 time. But I did finally beat my time without a penalty though lol . :)

Does anyone still use the GTS Companion app? Or, did the region switch screw that up? My Q time hasn't registered in a while. I can still see the top 100 times though.

Wish they'd give us a TCR International type race at TESl. It's be like Macau. BoP the Megane, Scirocco and Peugeot at 340hp.1265kg. 25 minute race , no pit stop. Even if they did an FiA race like that, would be epic.

Combination of a quasi-prototype feeling car and Fuji, one of my favourite tracks to race on, is a winning recipe indeed.
Indeed it is, finally met you in them races haha.

I'm wondering the same thing...

I use it for race info etc. however the region switch has made it think I am now in Europe, not in Oceania where I really am.

Yes, but only to check SR/DR after each race, which updates as soon as the results are in. Everything else seems to be working fine, it has mostly up to date stats but things like fastest laps and so on can have a short delay on updating.

Can anybody explain the matchmaking in this game? I'm at DR D and SR A and the game keeps matching me with B/A an A/A drivers on Fuji. I dropped from B/S to D/A because I went from a controller to a wheel and am improving daily and the matchmaking was fine at lower SR rating. Just because I set a lap time better than some DR B drivers, doesn't mean I am quick on race pace and I lose many positions on the first lap. I'd like to compete against players with similar pace and move up when I have earned it.

I doubt you are still erratic pinging off walls! I'm in the same boat on Fuji anyway, there I am one of those slower erratic drivers as I really don't have a clue in the second part of that course. In bumper cam all I see is road everywhere, don't have a good fix on the edges and everyone in the back is driving differently through there. Then after the first lap or two I'm pretty much alone with growing gaps in front and behind. Only one race I made it to the finish before time out at +1::02 behind the leader. Yep it's kinda boring racing like that.

I switched back to the Huracan, it's a bit faster in the twisty bit yet lacks some acceleration. I'm still slow though, barely breaking into 2:14's while pole is doing 2:12 in the Huracan.

There aren't enough people playing for good matchmaking.

Matchmaking prioritizes SR, so first round up everyone within a small SR point range then sorts them across rooms based on DR. However there usually aren't enough entries for multiple rooms within that SR range and you already end up with DR.A to DR.D in the same room. When the room is still less than 2/3rds full or so it starts increasing the SR range to add more people. I've had rooms with S/S to E/E in off hours, pretty much everyone that entered the race in the same room.

Depending on which region you are racing in, there just may not be enough players in your region at your level. That's the problem I have. The DR/Ds are mostly at lower SR levels. At SR/S I find most of the players are DR/B.
