I don't kid, Kaz tweeted me personally. He said they were looking into adding a daily D option to spice things up. Streets of Willow springs with a random GR.X onemake each race would be first week's experiment. The next car will be revealed when race entry opens giving everyone 15 minutes to qualify.
👍👍👍 All that sounds great.
Just a tad bit disappointed though, that we won't have La Ferrari at Fisherman's Ranch. :(

@Milouse did a lot of work on the leaderboards during the week, maybe that's stopped the site from being able to auto update.
The autoupdate still works, i even run the update scripts manually several times today and watch the logs, but there are still no races for this week. PD is either changing their web system or they planned to introduce the new races very late. They still have time though, as the Monday is just starting in Japan, 8 hours before the deadline.

Odd. Is it the first time this has happened?

A GR.B rally week would be nice for a change. Colorado springs race A, Sardegna Windmills night, race B, Fisherman's ranch race C. Sunday potluck, use any car you like, no restrictions! Yet get this, based on performance each car you choose will have a different number of laps to complete. That will be a fun puzzle

I finally have a chance to race this afternoon. On my old tv without sound however, different display lag, now starting in the middle likely. I'm scared :scared: It has a wonky hdmi cable as well that might cut out any moment. Starting 5th of 20, yikes.

Got bumped up to 4th after loading. Got to 3rd from a crash, then second, then back to fourth after going wide and finally finished 5th as the Mazda from this morning caught up. Switching tvs is never a good idea. Display lag must be higher as my braking and turns ins are slightly too late on this one right after switching. Best lap of 3:10 instead of high 3:07. I'll get used to it after a few races, then brake and turn in too soon on my good tv tonight lol.

If the rally tracks served any purpose they could do something similar to Dirt 3's online, or one of the modes. Everyone sets off at the same time, but everyone's ghosted.

Thanks for clarifying

Went out and did Race Bs in the Peugeot VGT and the Lambo, both are lights-to-flag victories thanks to my 1:31.346 qualy time set in the Lambo, albeit in a different livery compared to the one used this morning. Also, that Lambo race gave me the 50th Sport Mode win and probably the fastest total race time I did in form of a 7:47.5! I totally went Rush B in that!

GR.B has been in the daily races before. It was a bit like that.

It was on Brand's hatch Indy circuit with avg -0.6 SR per player per race.
Streets of Willow, avg -1.0 SR per player per race.
Streets of Willow II, avg -2.4 SR per player per race.

Suzuka was the exception, GR.B there had people gain 16 SR per race on average. No clue how.

It's a shame Jason Guernsey's site doesn't work anymore as it was a treasure trove of information. This is what I saved from it.

All those red entries are track/car combos where people on average lose SR, ie reduce the total SR point pool.

Other fun facts:
Max SR gained in a single race was on Tsukaba circuit, GR.4, +124 SR in a single race. SR.E boost in full effect.
Biggest recorded loss in a single race: -190 SR on Monza GR.4.

Monza no chicane GR.4 is the worst race you can enter at -6.3 SR per player per race.
The best place to farm SR was Tsukuba GR.4 at +22.7 SR per player per race.

I just had FANTASTIC Race at BMB Daily races.

Top 4 cars were awesome. racing super close all of us the whole race nobody bumping or cutting it was just awesome fun position swapping down to a side by side finish. I got 2nd it was great

MK2VR6T something something is me

Good run up front suuuucks if further back bobo prevent better guys getting in on the action up front

Ugh, back to racing. Started 4th in my last race, got dive bombed at Indianapolis slight right into the wall, to 11th. Made it back to 9th, got dive bombed by the same driver at the Ford chicanes, avoided him yet missed my turn in for the final chicane and got 2.5 sec penalty right before crossing the finish, dropped to 11th. Where is the erase quali time button.

21:30, started 5th. Got punted into another car at Indianopolis by a driver that managed to hit us both in Mulsanne right before. This time we both went off and the rammer made the pass. It's a dirty Sunday night. I eventually made it back to 5th, rammer finished 3rd.

22:00, started 9th. Got bumped wide in Indianapolis yet not disastrous, managed to save it. Finished 8th. All blue ratings at the end, and all red dots, except me and one other. Penalty system is a farce, so much cheating going on with short cuts.

22:30 race, started 9th, got to second place in lap 4. Then bump passed in Mulsanne and Indianapolis to 11th. Finished 10th, 1 of 2 without a red dot again. Reported 3 people. So effing dirty.

23:00 Starting 10th, all SR.S yet apparently that means nothing. I made it to 5th, got bumped at Mulsanne, saved it. Got bumped at Ford chicanes, lost a few places and got a penalty for it. Got run off on the way to Tetre Rouge down to 12th place. Finished 10th. At least the last two that hit me apologized, not reported. -4 SR. DR down 1500 points since qualifying.

23:30 Starting 6th, all SR.S. Down to DR.D naturally, yet still mostly A/S. Apparently there were enough entries to split it at 90 to 99 SR as a friend I am racing with got in another room (at 87 SR). The split worked, I did not get hit!!! I passed a wreck, then got cleanly passed, passed another wreck, a car behind me got close yet penalized himself with a shot cut and fell back, passed the wreck of the car that passed me earlier and finished 4th.

Rally in this game is a complete joke. Something resembling rallycross (road courses aren't rallycross) won't work with sport mode.

Sven seems like a trustworthy chap. Can't wait to really try out Northern Isle, it's not featured enough.
Yea, it’s not likely Sven is wrong, unless something changed he’d have no way of knowing about. Possible but not probable. Anyway, I’ll take it. I am just thankful it’s not Tokyo expressway again. A little change of scenery is fine by me.

Wow man, well done! I think my mediums looked about as worn as your softs, very impressive. I must be terrible at tire-saving, lol.

I lost a couple races to a real fast guy who was using softs without stopping and his rear tires were literally 100% red by the end. I started using softs up front and mediums on the rear after I saw that, and I could still barely manage the last lap. I was pulling low 3:04's on my best laps. If I remember correctly, the lap times on my better races were something like 3:08, 3:04, 3:07, 3:09, 3:12, bringing total time to ~15:41 for the better few of my wins. One race I pulled a 15:39 and I think that was my best.

edit: pit lane starts on the short straight after the the Corvette Curves, right before the first Ford Chicane. Instead of turning slight left into the Ford Chicane, you veer to the right and enter the pits. There's a chicane on pit lane right before entering the pits too, so be careful when you actually do use it.

Ha. Me being slow inherently saves tires. I’ve noticed at my lower than your dr level saving tires comes naturally. Being fast doesn’t!
Cheers

T Very frustrating set of races for me as the AU/NZ aliens are all back from the holidays it seems.

So are you pretending to be an Aussie or a Kiwi?

I wouldn't mind a real endurace race, where you need to take at least 1 pit stop, and can be competitive with different cars and strategies. Total race time in the 30-35 minute range would be good.

@Rinsky runs a 1.5h Gr4 enduro lobby every month 👍.

If the rally tracks served any purpose they could do something similar to Dirt 3's online, or one of the modes. Everyone sets off at the same time, but everyone's ghosted.

So far they haven't used any rally tracks but there have been several tarmac GrB races.

Thanks for mentioning my race

Our membership list has 20 people out of 16 available spots at this time so its hard to say when a permanent spot will become available but most of the time temporary spots open when people have to miss a race.

You can visit the 1.5hr endurance race thread from the link in my signature and you can also watch our race being streamed live every month by our members and see if it's something you're interested enough in then put your name on our waiting list.

KudosPrime snoozing on next weeks Sport Mode Events: has this ever happened before? Is it possible we will get a consecutive week of what we have now? Feeling antsy over here.

It's forcing me to stay up until the races change! Can't sleep without knowing

4 more races to go.

0:00 Starting 7th of 17, still full SR.S. I guess everyone needs to know what races come next! I had to avoid a car at Mulsanne, did not go off yet slowed enough to drop to 11th. Made it back to 6th in the end. Great clean race, although still one big penalty train.

0:30 7th of 15, all SR.S. I guess the fast ones are here to stay until the end. This time I went wide in Indianapolis as the car in front looked like he was going to crash. Dropped to 10th, finished 6th in the end.

1:;00 6th of 16, all SR.S. I moved up one place! I briefly went to 5th, yet got out drafted after Mulsanne. Then briefly went to 7th, but had an awesome pass through Mulsanne.

Then finished 4th when the 2 cars in front of me crashed in the final corner.

1:30 Last one, starting 7th of 15 all SR.S still. Pretty uneventful, clean. I got into 6th for a few laps, then got out drafted, back to 7th.

I have given up on being an "A" driver after getting to 28,780 and then going backwards quite quickly. OK no worries but it would be better if I was faster. Not much time this summer holiday period in Australia (and NZ) but I have had some races in race 1 in the Corvette on the oval track. I know that track from earning money, and can drive a consistent 56.7 in practice. But the races have had few drivers and a mixture of talent, with few "S" SR drivers and many B and C and even D drivers ... and they like to hit ... and even the "S" drivers have been dirty ... I sat behind one for 4 laps after allowing him to get through safely on my inside ... I dropped back so if he touched me I would not hit the wall and get a penalty ... later I passed him on the straight ... he later bumped "beautifully" my rear quarter and I lost about 10 seconds ... quite deliberate and heck - why do that on that track when I had been behaving so nicely? We were both about 4 seconds in front of the 3rd car - I guess he could not resist ... but I ended up 5th.

Maybe 6 racers altogether over several days since Christmas and in the last one, I let three through and hung wide, and then had some swerve into my sides and push me against the wall ... I lost contact with the top 4 - and was 2.4 seconds behind starting the 9th lap ... somehow I caught the 4th car before the end of the 9th lap, and then we both closed on the top 3 cars ... I went wide on the last corner and somehow won ... its a weird track and its not possible to break away. I felt weird and that the game felt sorry for me and let me win. My manners have fallen quite a bit too, and i've tried to avoid touching other cars. Oh well I might go late tonight because I may be able to at least up my pole position score as I doubt there'll be many racing.

One good thing though - I have been driving from behind the car - I am faster driving that way at this track, because I've used that method to earn money, because it is much easier to site other cars, and if you touch one or a wall in the earning money event on this track - you loose too much money and experience. Its weird that I am faster driving on this oval track from behind the car ...

So we get weekly races just to do the same races over and over again.

After taking a big SR crash off S over the weekend do to some craziness plow through me penalties a big big clusterfuzzbucket smash me but I get a penalty then crash, spin out on roasted tires it was brutal. Im sitting there like WTF just happened. Honestly it got to SR 36 from SR 82 :( over the spread of maybe 5 races Saturday night like whaaaat happened.

I was discouraged and having hard time getting decent races where guys dont hit the brakes 100 feet before the braking point or swerve up or down tracks from behind. Block passes pinch out corners ramathon n all that.

Since then been grinding back up and lobbies get better and better as I move back up some fast dudes out there boi

Now past my previous high at SR 90 waiting for the next race to load.

Last Night & Today have been a lot of great clean racing position swaps. Bump here n there a penalty too but honest stuff.

Im having a really good time even if I only peg 2nd or 3rd a 1st here n there a 4th or 5th its all good I'm having FUN
