Fuji T2 left kink OFTEN cars illegaly pass on the inside often forcing the car they pass wide mid corner or pinch him on exit. Its Cheap but people think its cool. Making the cut after turn in and corrupting car in fronts line mid corner.
By doing that, they should end up worse off than if they hadn't attempted the pass. Track limits are extremely sensitive on the inside of that corner and you can get 4 seconds for taking it a bit tighter than you should. The other car probably gets away with an orange arrow and about a second or two lost.

Went out and did 2 more Race Bs, with the first one is a cracker with me in the NSX VS an RC F Proto where I was constantly defending from him for all 5 laps, but I was able to get the W and make that 59 Sport Mode wins!

The WRX race was a bit lonely, but that race marked my 60th Sport Mode win as I cross the finish line in a GTPlanet liveried WRX by @TeamCZRRacing, with another WRX making it 1-2 for Subaru after the 2nd placed Porsche went too paranoid going into T5, which let a WRX and an RC F to pass through.

Should have waited until next week. Tsukaba holds the record at +124 SR in a single race!
SR is so reliable! Congrats on being one of the fastest C/S drivers  (I'm sure there are more, there are some fast ones out there)
Thanks, but I can't imagine that I'd be doing any of those C races at Tsukuba, next week. Really sounds awful. A & B here I come!

I finally raced my first 2 races at Suzuka. Not great, but I'm back to SR-S (92 pts). They started me 3rd and 1st and I finished 6th and 4th. First race was a disaster. Ran off in T1, then again in the esses due to dirty tires and stupidity. Got punted in the second part of Degner by the guy I passed in the first part. He never touched the brakes, but I got a quick reset and drove through his ghost on the way out.
Second race started like the first...went wide, but rejoined in 6th, kept my head and let the tires warm. Had some trouble with the guy in front of me. He was braking everywhere, but blocking effectively. Slowed me down a lot for 2 laps. Finally he got a little wide in T2 after killing all my momentum in T1, so I got underneath and rode the curb to get by. I had a 2.3 second lead on him coming out of spoon. Pitted on L5 and came out in 9th. Though I was only running 54's after the tire change, I reeled in and passed 5 cars to finish 4th, 9 seconds behind 3rd.
That's 2 out of 2 that I destroyed in the first lap. I won't do that again. )

Aye, Tsukaba also holds the record for most spontaneous suicides after lap 15. That is, if you haven't crashed yet from people throwing up out of the side window. This is what Tsukaba feels like

Freakin grrrrr!! The closest I’ve been able to come to my Monday time was 50.4, this is driving me nuts, I’ve been at this all week now and can’t beat it. I even bought the Lexus and the Honda and nothing. I’ll get it!! Somehow lol. :)

I also watched an older race in daily race at Interlagos with the controller. The biggest problem I have with braking with the pedals is consistency. I noticed in the controller replay that I could hit my braking points lap after lap. Being inconsistent in a race becomes a problem even when starting from pole. I'm thinking about getting the load cell mod because I think it might help.

I am left foot breaking. First thing I did to the pedals was move the clutch and brake pedal to the left to create more space between the brake and gas pedal. Can I ad you on PSN? GTS only keeps a top 10 of the fastest drivers and people in your friends list and I'd like to compare my times to others with similar pace. Am also interested in seeing how another new wheel user progresses:) My PSN id is: Quin_slowcom

Had a short go at a fast lap without tcs in the lexus RC F GT3. 1.33.551

Nice lap! Sent you a friend request on PSN. May see you on track someday. Will keep an eye on your times.

What I am doing at the moment is not considered “progress”. I love playing GTS but after work, family and other interests I am not putting in the time to improve. Down now from 15,000 DR points to 5,000 after starting on the wheel. I think that extra time I’m losing on laps is also making me exposed to attempted over takes and so a lot more nudges off track. I’ve reached that happy point where more DR loss does not matter and I can treat the races as lessons without worrying about results.

It sounds to me like you’re trying a little too hard, I know it’s near the end of the week but try taking a day or so away from that qualy stuff to gather yourself. If you drive too much, you can lose your energy and focus and end up losing time, especially on long and difficult tracks like Suzuka. I find that some of my best sessions come after I take a good break after a frustrating session. You can do it! :D

With all the chaos in the lobbies I seem to be matched into, I thought I'd take a step back to watch some of my races and gather some data. I've seen so many "new drivers" that I wanted to know just how many I am racing against every day, and to see how I stacked up against who I am being matched against. I also wanted to see where I earn the most DR / SR and against who. Most of the data is averages, but I also have "that day's" DR / SR ratings for myself and my opponents . All data is taken from KudosPrime, and "that day" is whatever is the last record the site had when I entered the data.
Granted I do not have volume yet, but I find the rate I am being matched with "new drivers" (someone who has less than 10 days in game) very disturbing. Over 20% of my opponents fall into this category. Some races over half are these people. I also raced Fuji last night for the first this week. The exploits on the track are horrible and I almost got a reset from the low lifes. I'll post an update in the future, but what I have so far:

I completely agree Sir, I took yesterday off as a break and it did help for sure. I’m driving much more consistently today then I was on Wednesday. It’ll come with time, maybe not this week but I will beat it. :)

Looks pretty damn good to me. Get in the race!

Ps. The Gr.2 Honda/Acura sucks.

Thanks , and they definitely do suck, the Lexus wasn’t as bad as the Honda but neither was great. As for racing, that’s the plan, possibly the one in 11 minutes, but most likely the one after that. :)

You would think but one can use the car ahead keep from breaching track limits. The only option I've found (and it works) is to swerve wide on the hit, drive out track limits instead of fighting for exit speed.. He still takes position but gets a contact penalty. The short cut penalties always seem rather minor. I say this after getting a bunch for using rumble strips as some corners seems rumble strip is not inside track limits lolololol plus people don't be serving penalties until the last second. 50 foot before the line is a joke of cars slowing, stopping, swerving to avoid cars serving penalties yah dont know when they will un ghost

It can be done without the contact even but I've never seen it done without directly cutting the line of the lead car in this case the guy making the pass is Wreakless driving. They think its brilliant tho comming out with The lead. Its racing and IRL is what it is until contact is made. Too bad that's pretty much every race in GTS to some extent.

Good evening friends,
I entered into a race C at Suzuka tonight. I don’t know how these a plus and a are getting these qualifying times. They are extremely fast, but never mind that. I began in the eleventh position, and with dinner etc barely made it into the race in time. My plan was to keep the car on the track. It was a simple plan...
I saw a fellow member @NosOsH began in the third position.
The race began uneventfully. As it began to draw on I found myself in sixth. I ran cleanly. On the final lap, exiting the final chicane, after brake checking me in a weird way on 130r this filthy driver is serving his accumulated penalties in the line and is ghosted. I made a poor choice to simply drive through him since it’s difficult to swerve at full throttle while exiting there with worn tires. Well, friends, he unghosted perfectly somehow thus preventing my overtake and causing me to lose another position to a fellow competitor as I boosted him perfectly.
I would like to see penalty zones implemented. My sr is still 99. I eclipsed 25k on the other also with this result, which for me is a fine achievement. Good driving to you all.

Just do away with serving penalties and have them add up to the lap/race time.

Dirty drivers would maybe care a bit more as they can't serve the penalty it adds to lap times pushing them back, at the same time they cant use them to screw others up.

I do it too, no choice really, I lift before the line but at least I pull to the inside to do it....

Often often DR A/SR S don't matter people are coasting, or on the brakes on the line or middle of the track people without penalties having to swerve around them...

Its kinda a bit of a Joke in my eyes.

Sure give them a penalty that they can use to screw up others while removing the penalty :/ . Buddy was in his rear view while off input to ghost and hit the gas as you came through him KNOWING darn well what would happen.

So he's slowed down to serve his penalty and uses the ghosting to block a pass..... Genius PD

If you care not about stats ONLY about winning one can be as dirty as one likes or only as dirty as they have to be to stack up wins. Just race clean as long as winning and when competion gets too hard, knock the competition out so you get your W, the stats drop and have you back in easy races so that win count can add up... Stats stay junk but that win count is hype.... Ohhh then when you feel like Showing Off, Race Clean for a couple hours and get SR S then Brag about wins.......

This is why I respect high DR stats with high SR stats, low DR like B with high SR S is not veteran stats, they rookie stats. If you've not built up DR to at least A, the SR S is not skill reflective.

The difficulty is gaining DR while maintaining SR the guys with DR A/S with SR S not only race clean but beat fast clean drivers to do so.... RESPECT

Yeah, weell, you will always have an odd bad apple. I’ve seen this guy before this week and he blocked me on the straight.
1300 plus races. I know he knows what he was doing. First time for me.
It’s ok.
I’m mellow, I saw his stats.
Cheating is part of online gaming it seems. There’s no escaping it. I have so much fun doing it...I look at it like hopefully the system will come up with an improvement.
If not, I’m just not going to take matters into my own hands. I’ll still play.
Next race lap 1 I got punted in the hairpin. Obvious mistake, and the fella pulled over and we both had a good race after that. That’s what I like. So many good people play the game and that’s neat.
I enjoy racing clean and you never know if a vengeful action might involve someone else who did nothing.
I actually had a bit of his inside earlier in the race, but backed out. Like, you know, I easily could have given him a love tap into the sand pit, I just don’t get satisfaction from that.
Sr is always number one. It’s just one race, it’s not worth my sr. I need every bit of that for when I make a mistake.
I have no interest in doing a competition to the death in an online race. I enjoy fun fair play number one.
It’s racing. You lose you lose. Try again. I saw a guy in lobby today his greeting was something like I have 90000 pole positions and a million wins check out my you tube...Riiii.
The games too fun to worry about moronic behavior like cheating on purpose.

Well that was odd.
Just did race B, lap 5 turn 1 and I got over the track limit by no more than an inch I reckon.
Instant .7 sec penalty that I took to the end of the race and finished with it and a red dot.
Still got a clean race bonus/ 1 race streak though.

Had a similar drop in DR and had my SR drop from 99 to 1 two times since I got the wheel (Hi Tokyo). I will see you on the track soon!

I tried the round the outside move at turn 1/2 again but I can't seem to get it right so now I just dive-bomb people:

@Sven Jurgens you might not want to watch this one!

Nice moves! That's not a dive bomb, simply out braking with room to spare. I usually do that at T1 as well on the inside, just hug the kerb. Imo it becomes a dive if you do establish overlap before turn in, but can't hold on to the inside, forcing the other car to go wide or brake extra. However the other car can undercut you when they see it coming in time. It's a dive bomb when you can only make the corner by using the other car as a bumper.

I do not have the pace to race with DRA guys but reserve the right to race with SRS if I'm clean.

Don't think you need to reserve that right. You bought the game.

I agree, you should run SR S if you also are SR S. I just think DR D/C even with SR S should not be matched with DR B/A drivers until they bring the DR up. Should be something like one level up one level down. So DR A can race DR B/A/S and DR B can race DR C/B/A type thing

First move would of been all good if no contact but because of the contact it may have of been scrutinized if either of you had an issue because of it. Neither one of you had an issue, neither got out of shape so, Racing Incident.

That last corner overtake tho

Senna would of been proud.. Textbook High Level Technical Overtake.

Where is the dive bombing?

9 am, still not enough entries to weed out SR.B. At least SR.E is no longer in the room. There are also a lot of quitters this morning. Discouraged by the DR spread or can't stand being in last? 5 DNF in a race of 13 is common this morning.

Rooms in the double digits are more fun for me, more to pass. It's tricky though with some drivers braking hard for the slight left before the chicane which doesn't even require a lift. Same in the S curves, the slight right after, lap time of 2 minutes in the back while the front is doing 1:52.

9:30 am, only 9 entries, still down to SR.B. D/B is the lowest combo.

Two Race Bs with the 'vette tonight. First race was hectic and kinda like dogems. Started P8/13. DR/As and Bs in front of me, a C, a B and a few Ds behind me.

The race starts and the dash for crash at T1 was on with the usual mayhem. I was in a position to punch it through the exit, but frustratingly there was a wall of cars not quite so well set up in front of me . I started making a pass with me rally skills (yeh, I know.. the grass isn't the track). After a bit of mayhem I was in P6. I thought the 911 that started in front of me was being a 🤬. A look at the replay showed that I was the 🤬 :O. An M6 coming up the inside of me coming up to T1 unsettled me and I ended up off track and dropped down to P10 :nervous:. I finished the race P9. I could swear the car in front crossed the line with a penalty, but the board showed a red dot but no penalty left at race finish .

SR still 99 despite a few orange SRs. Dropped about 100 DR.

Second race and I start P8/11. Mixed DRs again.

Race gets under way and the start to first corner is pretty similar to the last. I managed to stay on the track better, but had issues with locking up the rears and generating smoke instead of acceleration . I think my unpredictable cornering as I made a desperate stab at staying on the track confused a few people. I think I should have skipped the second race to sort out the BB. Anyway I managed to keep the car mostly pointing forward and finished P6.

SR still 99, DR went up about 100. Puts me 16 up on where I finished last night :dopey:. Day 9? of my DR/C sojourn :scared:.

Ran Suzuka 2 more times last night. Now that I'm back to SR-S, they put me in a room with lots of fast guys. Saw @Pigems in them both...well I saw he was in them, I only actually saw him in the second race. I guess he got punted on T1, L1 and ended up back with the riff raff. I actually hung on to him for a bit, twice. I managed to pull off my classic move, you know, hitting the outside edge when turning into Degner and looping it into the sand. Had a good lap going until that. Way too many mistakes. First race was going well from P12 or 14 start. Worked my way up to 8th before pitting, but ended up dropping back after some offroad excursions, some not my fault, but mostly sloppy driving on my part. I find this car, track combo unforgiving. Every time I feel like I'm in a rhythm and start to make some time, I get upset by a curb or catch an edge. Best lap in the race was a 53 flat. It's tough with a room like these. Seems like the top 5 or so get away and have a good race, but there's a whole group in the middle that get caught up in a clump and slow you, and each other, down. Throw in some people that block after they make an error, and you end up with lots of yellow flags. Since everyone (almost) is in the same car, it's very hard to pass if someone protects the inside and stays on the racing line. @Sven Jurgens doesn't seem to have a problem, but he's his own kind of alien.

I do have a question, hopefully answered by someone way more consistent than I am. When we pit here at Suzuka this week, the in lap and the out lap are in red. I know the in lap is longer than a regular lap, but what about the out lap? Maybe pit position also has an effect? The reason I ask it that my out lap in one of those races was very fast (for me) and I'm trying to figure out if I really did that fast of a lap, or if there was something else involved. I think I saved the replay, so I may check it out later.
