I'm stopping for the week. On a high note. 3rd place from 5th. 6th Consecutive Clean Race Bonus (3rd or 4th time, can never get past 6).

I've never benefited so much from staying clear of penalties as I did on Fuji this week. It was on the ridiculous side TBH. But I guess that's how it goes, some track limits benefit/hurt more than others depending on the driver. I hope it wasn't a one time thing.

It was awesome seeing a bunch of Gtp guys thos week that I hadn't before. Not just once but a couple times and also inthe last couple weeks as well. Didnt see @Winnie847 out there tho, too bad would have liked to see if I could keep pace with him this week.
My best so far was 149.6ish and I have put down 150.2 some races but Im averageing around 151-152.3 In race.
I set my brake bias way to the back for the first 3 laps per set of tires, to try and save my fronts for later. So that doesnt let me set as fast of a time as I could lap 2 and 3 or 6 and 7.

Sorry I missed ya. My best in race was also a 1:50.2 but I feel like I could’ve done better if I would’ve had more time this weekend to get on a roll. I must’ve run 10 races or so, but only 2 or 3 at a time over a few days. I saw you had a pretty good qualy time, must have collected some nice DR! Well done, catch you next time.

My Dr did rise this week bit since i really only have time for about 2 or 3 races a day usually Ive kinda plateau'd around 43.5k . Only get a hundred or two points sometimes for beating a room of A's,b's, c's all the way to DE sometimes.
unless I was able to race against and beat a couple A+ drivers (which did happen:gtpflag:),
my Dr hasnt moved much.

I hate how they always become one make within (probably) minutes after going live...

Did a gr.2 race at Suzuka, all but two were GTR’s... my Honda clearly can’t keep up with the GTR.

Also it sucks the game doesn’t enforce pit lane exit line rules... As I came down the straight at full speed, someone came out of pit lane straight across to the racing line in front of me, forcing me to have the swerve to the right to avoid him, AND to add insult to injury, he slammed the door shut on me while I was on his inside in turn one forcing me on the grass... ohwell... that’s racing online I guess... people not giving a poop about anyone but themselves...
Agreed. This and many other items should be added to the racing etiquette course. I’m sure people don’t know there is a rule around exiting the pits beside the speed limit. Easy enough to assign a penalty for crossing the line.

While they are at it, assign a penalty for bumping a car in front of you. I think they have this backwards. In fact, I know they do. We all comment about it. My races end with a disappointing result typically after I’m hit from behind. I have accidentally hit people too, basically ruining their race. I should get a penalty, so should we all. Thoughts?

Would daily races be more fun, with realistic rules in place, after drivers were better trained by a more intense racing etiquette course?

Yuup just lost 7 SR point cuz buddy tapped me bum bum about 2 or 3 times per lap while flashing his lights...... What want me to go faster through the car inches in front of me, Ohhh you want me to let you by because you can't manage an overtake. After races says "move or be moved"

F-it

Next race hes 2 cars behind me... "START" I hold off & let him and the other guy go by me. So I get into turn 1 right on his bum bum but no touch. I follow him like this for 3 laps and on lap 4 I pass him ckean as a whistle and get a gap on him by the end of the lap.

That's how its done Son

One thing that's IMO important for speed with the wheel is to use the accelerator while braking to balance the front and rear of the car - even a prod of the accelerator while you first brake. Its not actually trail braking which is a seperate technique. Knowing about the technique can reveal why some laps were faster than others too, as sometimes we do it without realising, having the throttle on while first braking.

Some good drivers blip the throttle while going doing the gears - but I don't know why they do that???

;)

Pretty sure its called left foot braking at least that's what I calls it lol

From a time when we had three pedals and used the right foot for throttle and brake with the left foot for clutching. One would use the left foot on the brake pedal while the right foot is on the throttle. Left Foot Braking

The game blips the throttle on shift already, however some car in GT6 I would blip the brake (let off for a split sec) on down shift to keep from getting out of shape and for maximum tranny braking minimum pedal braking

The Megane is so naughty. Race A I did a 1:42.930 in the 86. First time out in the Megane: a 1:42.375! Without breaking a sweat... and I broke early at T1.

Got a Fastest Lap of 1:41.575. Which I got held up, by a greedy Huracan trying to pass me at the 130R. I gave it plenty of room to pass and it still bumped me.
After all that, it still spun off at the esses, from the last part of the circuit.

Hmm you sure? I'm waiting for the 9pm race so started up the Nord 1 lap experience to see if it's any different. First attempt I beat my past record with 5 seconds. 6:49 without pushing and got on the grass in one place. (TCS was apparently at 3 during that lap as the game still keeps resetting TCS...) The record is at 6:27, that's pushing it!

Concentrate to stay on the road and you should be able to get it. Smooth, brake early, and know the track :)

The new tire model is old now, when i was trying for gold it was the only model and i beat it with that model. When they changed the model, they wiped the records and i tried again, and it was harder, without a doubt. But now i am so used to that, and the track that i could do the lap i posted in one go for great science :)

Not a bad week (exclusively) at Interlagos in the '17 Lexus. Managed to drop my qualifying time over the week from a high 34.5, to a low 32.9. I can definitely go faster, as I clocked a low 32.8 in my last race.

Race wise, everything went pretty well. Started most races between 8th, and 12th. Until I got below the 1:33 barrier, that gave me four or five 4th place starts in a row. Apart from one race that included a petulant German, I didn't finish any lower than 7th, with a good handful of top five finishes.

Best finishing result was a 3rd. Started 2nd, got a light, unintended tap braking for Ferradura on lap one, and that was pretty much me in 3rd until the finish line.

Most places gained was my last race of Friday night. Finished 4th, with 7 places gained.

DR went up. SR stayed about the same. Still B/S. I'm happy.

Anyone know where I can find out what time next week's races swap over in the NA/EST region?

Thanks.

Must admit I am a little disappointed with that race C combo. Probably do a little Race B this week and then play something else.

My thoughts exactly. It's like there's zero effort been put into it. Maybe they're putting all their time into the new update

What’s the car for race A this week? Also what’s everyone using for race B so far? Monday’s are always such long days at work now waiting to get home and race. :)

Regardless of what everyone else is using, I'll be in the Lexus. I'll be signing with them for the FIA stuff that I want to compete in this year, so need to get used to the Gr.4.

Race A is the Fiat 500. This makes the race a repeat from early December but I had some fun with it then. Exit speed from the two hairpins is critical!

I imagine Race B will be the usual mix of 4C, TT and Meganes. I like using the Huracan though so as long as it doesn't suffer too much for pace will likely use that. I'm often a bit quicker in the front wheel drive cars but just don't enjoy driving them with all that understeer.

I did one of my Group 4 tests at Dragon Trail Gardens and didn't find too much difference between the fastest and he slowest. I got my fastest lap with the Mclaren 650, followed by the Porsche and Megane. I found the Alfa hard to drive, but I think it is very fast if you can drive it. But you are only looking at 0.5 secs down to the slowest car which was the Mazda and the Megane Trophy, so I would say pick the car you like to drive and you will be competitive.
