Oh right, thanks, that quells my disappointment at not being able to get on then :)

Shame the Suzuka race isn't Gr.3.
TBH though, I think their aim with the dailies is just to provide a spread of three quick races for you to hop into - almost as though they're warm-up exercises.

There's usually something more interesting going on in the Lobbies anyway, and if not, you can always create your own with the perfect settings - perhaps we could host a "GT Planet alternative Dailies" lobby when the PD dailies are lackluster :)

Meh I'm so tired of Gr1. I miss having proper Gr3 and Gr4 races in the same day. Suzuki is better though, so that's where I'll be.

Suzuka has been a mixed bag for me tonight. First race i gained 2 places with the Evo. Second race I tried the Cayman and beat my qualifying time by a second. Started in 4th which surprised me. The guys in front were really slowing me down trying not to hit them, messed up a corner and everything went downhill from there. I just kept making stupid mistakes after that. The whole re-spawn thing was getting very tiresome when you are haemorrhaging time trying to get back onto the track. Just when you are about to get back on it re-spawns you... right where all the other cars are about to be!.

Today was a special day for me. Made it in the top 10 worldwide this morning in the Swift at Tokyo. Was probably too soon for Europe to wake up on sunday morning. I knew the track well because of the Toyota 2000 race some time ago. So was pretty happy to see me there but felt also little strange. Since I am all but an alien. It was a couple of hours before I was 10th and eventualy kicked out. Although I could make a quicker time but had no time. Will keep the 2nd place picture though.

The only “problem” was that I am a B S driver close to 30.000 points. So with such a good time you can expect me going up to A S status. Was hoping for some wins against B drivers. And was not hoping to fight against A S and S S drivers. I also hear that some A drivers are indeed less respectfull than in the B league ?

And indeed I pretty fast improved to A S status passing 30.000 points. Which of course is a great accomplishment for me. Milestone ! But my initial thoughts were wrong because I had that fast time so I also was faster than most A drivers this morning. So it turned out pretty nice for me. Eventually I got like 5 poles and 5 victories and 3 best laps.

Had a lot of respectful races except one guy from Italy who made some really unfair blocks on the straight. Couple of times. Tried to say something in chat but he did not respond. Next race I asked again before the start. No reaction. Hate that kind of non-sportmanship.

However some hours later I re-encountered him in a race. So payback time ! Felt great not letting him pass me. If he just would have answered no problem. But if you give not any respect you wont get any back. I apologised to some other players that might have got involved but I am pretty sure they saw it and respected it. Because I did not block them. Of course now the Italian dude was able to say “id_iot”. Love Karma.

Some time later I was in a nice race but made a mistake at the end and a player was hit in the wall not intended. But I wanted to let that player pass me before the finish which was difficult since after him was another driver which I did not want to let pass. I turned my emergency lights on and went for it. Let the first guy I had an incident with pass me and blocked the other one before the finish. So perfect result and felt the righ thing to do. Managed to explain in the chat to the guy I blocked that I let the other guy pass me because of an incident. Hope he understood.

Although I must say that the drivers in A level seem more eager to win a fight for every gap they see which I did not notice in B level. Could be a reason to stay in B level ? That said there were enough B level drivers as well. So I need to play more to give my opinion on this.

What a nice start of the sunday !

Second time happen on me, first one happen on Scirocco one make last week second now.
I don't have any problem with connection or other thing on that time, so I dunno what exactly happen.

I like the one make races, I don’t like to complain about them, but I don’t like doing the same car more than one day in a row. Why couldn’t they do all RX7s today on Tokyo? Or a golf, or a vantage, or a mustang...

Were those connection problems in the race too, or just the replay?

What a nice start of the sunday !

Thought I recognised the name on the leaderboard! Nice one

I’m from Norwich, UK. So I always think my voice sounds a bit daft when I hear it back.

Those races specifically were from Kyoto yesterday, in my opinion I was racing fairly clean and I was in a good mood yesterday so I knew I would get my win eventually.

The first race you could just tell the other drivers wanted to win at any cost, I’m getting slammed left and right and the desperation at the end by the Spanish guy swerving into me on the line epitomises that. I actually got 2nd place with his and another drivers penalties.

The second race on the video I just raced as hard as I could and tried staying out of the dogfights and I got my win.

I love it when people post videos of their races in here but why always without race info?

I am not sure if something is missing from your post but I meant the race information on screen that can be enabled in the replay with a few clicks.

Audio commentary would of course be appreciated also, regardless of how the voice sounds, but this is of course much more effort - I think I would be too lazy for that :)

But the on screen race info can be enabled quite easily :)

btw the race info does have to seem a bug for ages and still in 1.12 as it pretends to show the gaps like in the live race, but instead always only shows as "--:---" gap...

Ah yeah well I actually forgot to press save replay after the first race, so that was a sharesave video afterwards, don’t know why the info wasn’t on there too. But I kind of rushed that video because I wanted to get it out before I went to bed

Real mixed bag in gr1 today.

Lots of poor connections etc and grip was all over the place :/

I've felt the same. I'm sure too many poor connections ruin the grip for everyone, especially the guys nearest to the bad connections, both in front and behind the bad car/s.

Good start of the day, not. Disconnected on the start of my first race. I knew it wasn't good when it kept showing fly by's of the track instead of showing the grid. Still docked me 5 SR for that, yet no DR. The mysterious ways of PD.

Did the nations cup and manufactures cup races. Both were really fun.

The nations cup race were the highest standard race I've done on GT sport (excluding superstars races). All of the drivers were SS rated. Qualifed p6 Finished p4 2 seconds off the lead.

Manufacturers cup had a disappointing qualifying 1 second off my practice times. Started p4, punted on lap 1 down to 12th and managed to get back into 4th after saving a lot of fuel and a bit of luck.

My first win \o/
Unfortunately, i forgot to save the replay =/

I wonder what people's opinions are on this race:

0:30 - Would this have been a clean move if the BMW hadn't moved in the braking zone?
0:42 - Was this a genuine overtaking attempt or just a crash to pass?
2:46 - Did the BMW wreck the Mustang out of the lead?
3:50 - Is this a defensive move or a block in response to where I had positioned my car?
4:30 - Was there a genuine chance of a pass or did the frustration just get the better of me?

At the time it felt like wherever I put my car the BMW was reacting to and blocking rather than defending legally, I'm sure if I had got ahead I would've been hit immediately afterwards again. I'm happy with the result though, the Ford was leading when pushed of so if anybody deserved the win it was him.

I was in that race with you, for an A/S lobby there was some shocking driving going on!

People really do go nuts during the FIA rounds.

I wonder what people's opinions are on this race:

I think 0:30 is more on him than you. By moving to the right under braking, he guaranteed contact was made. Although, I think you braked slightly too late.

0:42 is him being really, really dumb. It wasn't a proper overtaking attempt. He didn't even make the corner himself.

2:46 Looks like it. Seems as if the BMW brakes a bit too late when right behind him and pushes him into the gravel.

3:50 is touch and go. It is a very late move to the left, seemingly based on your position (after he originally went more to the middle).

4:30 Yeah frustration got to you but he seemed to cut across you under braking (his move to the right is way later than the normal time to move to the right, hence he defensively moved more than once as he was originally trying to defend the left side)

I would say your first move on him was borderline, it looks like the sort of move that to you looks ok but to him looks like a dive bomb. You see it all the time, someone will do that to me and after watching a replay you think “that wasn’t actually that bad”, but the following corner you think he’s racing dirty so he’s done the same back to you and instantly both of you are annoyed with each other.

A few naughty moves from the BMW but I bet the eventual first place couldn’t believe his luck following you two ha!

Today's mission was to get back to max SR.

6 daily C races was enough to go from 33 back to 99, with 20 points the biggest haul. It seems the max points you can get is higher at lower SR as the gains diminished with higher SR. And surprise surprise, the last race at SR.S was the dirtiest... At least for the start, freaking chaos, went from 4th to 14th in the first few corners. Finished 3rd in the end passing all the people knocking each other off.

not a fan of the Suzuki Swift but just did one race A and that thing is so easy to full throttle through most of the track without hitting the brakes. Too much trading paint in the race though.

I find myself tapping the brakes at certain junctures. Definitely a paint chipper for sure. I had a lot of people hitting me from behind and screwing up my position. Got fed up and started punting the offenders into the walls.

Thanks for the feedback, I don't normally worry about races like this but he left a comment after the race "Out driven, so smash to pass" which pissed me off a bit so I wanted to an unbiased opinion on things.

I guess it's part of the sport-mode matchmaking, the mediocre drivers don't often get a chance to run up at the front, when we do get that shot at a win we all go a bit crazy!

I guess the first move did catch him out a bit, I had sat in behind for 5 laps just waiting for an opportunity without really pulling out of line, I guess anything which the car ahead is not expecting is a bit of a dive-bomb.

The guy who won played it perfectly, he didn't have the pace but pitted a lap earlier to leapfrog us both on fresh tyres and with a shorter stop (He had managed to save a lot of fuel too). As I said if anybody deserved the win it was him, he was the only totally clean driver of the top 3, he could've forced the issue earlier in the final lap when we were side by side. I have no problem losing a race to somebody who is driving with respect.

Were those connection problems in the race too, or just the replay?
on race too but usually after that I got kicked from room, yesterday was different I recheck connection before and after race and it was normal
